The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Tianmiao smiled and said, ”Then let’s go to the highest floor.”

”Alright, Ding San, come out and take the esteemed guest up. Highest floor.” The waiter rubbed his hands together happily. Only new customers would bring commission; old customers would not. Today, they brought in a new big customer, and this month’s commission would be quite substantial. He could buy his wife a silver hairpin, cover his child’s tuition, buy some books, paper, and pens, and even get some candy. The waiter hadn’t realized yet that the commission from this customer would amount to his total commission for two years.

Tianmiao followed the waiter named Ding San to the far left of the hall. On the left was a small room, which turned out to be an ”elevator” once inside. The waiter pulled a lever, and the small room steadily rose upward. After stopping, the waiter opened the door and politely invited Tianmiao to come out, leading her to a table at the side of the hall.

The view here was truly unobstructed; no matter which direction you looked, you could see a different aspect of Southwind City. This spot was surely the best choice for guests new to Southwind City.

At this moment, there were no other guests on the sixth floor, making it quite peaceful.

”Miss, please order.” The waiter handed several nicely bound sheets to Tianmiao. The first menu sheet featured the restaurant’s signature dishes.

After browsing a few menu sheets, Tianmiao calmly said, ”I would like one of every dish.”

The waiter was shocked internally, but maintained a polite smile on the outside: ”Excuse me, miss, you’d like one of everything on all the menus?”

”Yes.” Tianmiao nodded, ”Including one of each wine from your place.”

”Yes, thank you for your patronage, miss.” The waiter nodded, maintaining his usual expression, though inside he was already exclaiming. They truly couldn’t understand how the wealthy lived. The joy of the wealthy was also something they, the poor, truly couldn’t experience. How could such a little girl possibly eat so much? She must be curious and wants to try everything.

The well-trained waiter naturally wouldn’t say too much or mention something like ”Oh, you can’t eat all that alone, it’s a waste.” His job was to satisfy the customer’s requests. So, he called for assistance, pulled three tables next to each other, calculated that it would barely fit all the dishes, and then went off to relay the order.

Soon, the dishes were served in an orderly fashion. Although the kitchen guessed this might be the amusement of a newcomer to Southwind City with wealth, they still carefully arranged the order of the dishes so as not to affect the taste of each one. They also thoughtfully paired each dish with the appropriate wine.

Tianmiao tasted and watched the scenery of Southwind City at the same time. Southwind City was indeed very beautiful, exuding elegance everywhere. The pavilions and towers were all crafted with exceptional skill. The entire city had a grid-like network of streets, and the division of areas was very clear.

Residential areas, craft areas, commercial areas, and entertainment areas...

While Tianmiao was savoring Southwind City’s famous plum wine, another guest arrived on the sixth floor.

The guest was a monk.

Though bald, it didn’t detract from his handsome appearance. The monk wore an exquisite kasaya and had an extraordinary demeanor, indicating he was no ordinary monk.

The monk did not look at Tianmiao, he just sat down at another table, ordered a few vegetarian dishes and some tea, and quietly observed the scenery of Southwind City.

Tianmiao considered the style of the monk’s kasaya and the lotus embroidery on the cuffs, realizing that this monk was likely a disciple of the Xuanji Sect.
