The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 203: Chapter 27: Piglet in the Palm

”Go ahead, just wait and see.” Wang Congshan finally snapped out of it, glaring angrily at Luo Fu.

Luo Fu was not afraid at all; instead, she wore a mocking smile: ”You? A good-for-nothing who only lives off others? Living on your big brother’s support, I’d like to see what you can do to me.” With that, Luo Fu stepped forward and fiercely shoved Wang Congshan out the door.

Yan Zhengya picked up the little furry pig and held it in his arms, then pushed the Wolf Demon out the door as well. The Wolf Demon showed no reaction, just passively followed Yan Zhengya’s push.

As the two humans and one demon stepped over the threshold, Luo Fu stood at the door, arms akimbo, looking at them with a sneer: ”Do you deserve it?”

”Enough already?” Yan Zhengya couldn’t stand it anymore. This woman was excessively arrogant. He turned his head to Luo Fu, mocking, ”Don’t you know that what goes around comes around? You’ll get your comeuppance sooner or later...”

”Ha, a poor Daoist like you, talk to me when you can afford new clothes.” Luo Fu retorted sarcastically, intending to say more when a shadow appeared behind her. A dagger pierced through Luo Fu’s back, cutting her words short.

Yan Zhengya was shocked by the scene; it all happened too suddenly, too quickly for him to react.

Wang Congshan also turned around to witness the scene, exclaiming: ”Xiao Hong?” The assailant was Luo Fu’s maid, Xiao Hong.

The Wolf Demon seemed lost in its own world and still showed no reaction.

”Others aren’t deserving? Are you?” Xiao Hong’s face no longer showed its usual blankness but a cruel smile full of wild satisfaction. ”Using your looks to toy with people’s feelings everywhere, and you think you’re worthy of our master?”

Having said that, Xiao Hong kicked the bleeding Luo Fu on the ground in a fury, then dashed out the door, leaped over the wall, and disappeared from sight. No one had ever suspected that the blank-faced Xiao Hong could fight, and quite adeptly too. But who was the master she mentioned?

”Luo? Luo Fu?” Wang Congshan tremulously called out.

”I’ll go after her.” Yan Zhengya put the Wolf Demon into the Qiankun Bag, then leaped onto the wall to pursue the maid. Honestly, he was just speaking offhand a moment ago, making a quick quip; who knew retribution would come so fast and fiercely? Should he really not be a demon hunter but set up a fortune-telling stall instead?

Wang Congshan cautiously moved toward Luo Fu. She lay on the ground, blood gushing from her heart and mouth, her pupils gradually dilating—she was beyond saving.

”Luo Fu?” Wang Congshan called with a quivering voice.

”Quick... run... your brother wants... to kill you.” Luo Fu seemed to muster all her strength to utter these words with great difficulty.

”What?” Wang Congshan was stunned.

”Quick...” Luo Fu stared at the ceiling above, her consciousness slowly fading. Was this really her retribution? At this moment, the only image in her mind was the gentle smile of the Wolf Demon. Ah... She so wanted to say sorry in person, but it seemed there was no chance, and perhaps he wouldn’t need it...

In Wang Congshan’s terrified eyes, Luo Fu closed her eyes and never opened them again.

Wang Congshan took a look around, then dashed off, discerning the direction and chasing after where Yan Zhengya had gone.

Not long after he ran, urgent footsteps sounded behind him.

”Up ahead, chase!”

”What kind of job did Luo Fu do, letting him escape? Chase him! A big reward for catching him.”
