The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 204: Chapter 28: Piglet in the Palm

Wang Er chased frantically behind, cursing Luo Fu in his heart for failing such a small task. It was supposed to be a matter of killing two birds with one stone, but how did Wang Congshan, that useless guy, manage to escape?

At this moment, Wang Er was unaware that their plan was first disrupted by Yan Zhengya and later Luo Fu was dealt with by Little Red, the maid blinded by jealousy. In his plan, he intended to use the Wolf Demon to kill Wang Congshan, then have the Daoist eliminate the Wolf Demon, as the promise to marry Luo Fu was false. He didn’t dare want such a ruthless, heartless woman. At most, give her some silver after it’s done to settle accounts.

Wang Congshan ran desperately in front, shouting as he ran, ”Daoist, save me, Daoist, save me.”

Yan Zhengya vaguely heard the cries for help behind, and had no choice but to give up chasing Little Red ahead and turn back to find Wang Congshan.

”Daoist, save me, save me.” Wang Congshan howled, running wildly towards Yan Zhengya.

”What’s going on?” Yan Zhengya asked suspiciously.

”My elder brother wants to kill me, save me quickly. I didn’t expect he colluded with Luo Fu.” Wang Congshan shouted, ”Run fast, they’re chasing me from behind.” At this moment, Wang Congshan had figured everything out. He knew his elder brother had never liked him, but he didn’t expect his brother to use someone else to kill him, planning to let the Wolf Demon kill him. Now that things hadn’t gone as planned, his brother was blatantly going to do it himself.

Upon hearing this, Yan Zhengya said nothing, grabbed Wang Congshan by the collar, and ran forward with him.

Carried by Yan Zhengya, Wang Congshan had no composure, his feet dangling, listening to the wind in his ears and the increasingly distant footsteps behind, he looked at Yan Zhengya with starry eyes of admiration.

”Daoist, you really have great arm strength and stamina, to be able to run so fast carrying me. I have nothing to repay your life-saving grace, except offering myself.” Wang Congshan babbled excitedly.

”If you offer yourself, I’ll just have to throw you down.” Yan Zhengya ran, responding coolly.

”Ah, I was wrong, I was wrong. It was just nonsense in a moment of excitement. Quick, let’s go back to the Wang Family, to my mother’s courtyard. My mother said a long time ago that my elder brother harbored ill intentions and warned me to be careful, but I didn’t believe it and even quarreled with my mother. There are many guards in my mother’s courtyard, my mother was wise to have predicted it, and that’s why she hired so many guards...” Wang Congshan rattled on endlessly.

Carrying Wang Congshan, Yan Zhengya raced back to the Wang Family, directly jumping over the wall into Wang Congshan’s mother’s courtyard.

”Mother...” Wang Congshan cried out, scrambling and stumbling as he pushed the door open to find his mother.

Inside the house, there was a commotion, panic, and a woman’s stern scolding.

”I said long ago that the illegitimate child is not a good thing, should have been strangled at birth. Your father has been bedridden for so long, growing more and more muddle-headed. Look, the heart of this beast is growing bigger...”

”Mother, thanks to the Daoist saving me...”

”Deal with that little beast first. Properly thank the Daoist afterward. You need to start thinking for yourself and show some promise. Stop thinking about eating, drinking, and playing all the time, learn to do business. While your mother is here, she can protect you, but what will you do when I’m no longer around?”

”No, mother can’t die. Mother, live a long life, woo hoo, mother, only you are good to me, you can’t leave me.”

”Nonsense, no one lives forever. You need to learn to stand on your own! You can’t rely on me forever.”

Yan Zhengya was not interested in meddling in others’ family matters, cradling his little pig, he left the Wang Family.
