The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 259: Chapter 3: Kong Hou’s Origins 3

”As you can see, the spiritual energy of this world is rapidly disappearing, and we cannot find the reason or reverse the situation. We also lack the ability to travel to other worlds. We know that what awaits us in the end is extinction. But she has not yet been born, has not yet seen this world. We have gathered the whole clan’s power and infused all the spiritual power into her. But we can no longer accompany her as she grows.” This ”she” naturally refers to the young dragon girl brought back by Tianmiao. The lead dragon looked calm, knowing their impending extinction did not make them hysterical nor resentful; they accepted this fact calmly after all efforts failed. Moreover, they placed their only hope of survival in the unborn young dragon girl.

Even though they knew that even by giving all their spiritual power to the young dragon girl, allowing her to be born safely, she would not last long alone after the world’s spiritual energy completely dissipated. Yet they chose to sacrifice the last of their lifespans to let the young dragon girl be born, to let her see this world.

This kind of love is profound and great.

At this moment, Tianmiao felt a dull ache in her heart.

”Sir, you must be from another world. We earnestly plead with you to take her away, to save her, and she can work for you. We have nothing to offer you, but if there is anything in the palace you desire, please feel free to take it. Finally, we ask you to treat her well.” With these words, a group of dragons solemnly performed a grand ritual of respect to Tianmiao, not rising for a long time.

Subsequently, these images gradually faded away, never to be seen again.

Tianmiao remained silent for a long time.

Little Kong Hou had no memory inheritance, which should also be deliberately done by her clan. They didn’t want her to know such hopeless and sorrowful things upon birth. Even if little Kong Hou wouldn’t live long, they hoped she would be carefree in her short life.

Yet they held a shred of hope—what if a strong being came to this world and could take little Kong Hou away? So they left this jade scroll and this plea.

Little Kong Hou carried within her the deep love of her entire clan.

Her birth bore such profound love; how could one bear to let it down?

”Boss, I’m all packed up!” Kong Hou’s childish voice rang out.

Tianmiao let out a gentle sigh, waved her hand to store the jade scroll away, and turned to find little Kong Hou.

Holding little Kong Hou’s hand, standing outside the palace, Tianmiao waved her hand and sealed the palace. Even if this world fell to the level of the Middle World, this palace would remain intact.

When the day comes that Kong Hou grows up, let her return here to take a look herself. Let her feel her clan’s deep love when she returns. Because this love cannot be answered, nor does it seek a reply.

Dong Xiao, upon seeing Kong Hou, was also very surprised. He never expected that in a world where spiritual energy was so dissipated, there would still be a dragon. After learning of Kong Hou’s background, he was silent.

His heart felt a bit sour.

The love of Kong Hou’s clan for her was profound and great. His clan loved him too, yet that love... was expressed in a completely different way from Kong Hou’s clan.

At that moment, Dong Xiao couldn’t help but think of his clansmen.

”Don’t think about it, that day will come,” Tianmiao’s voice gently spoke up.

Dong Xiao understood that Tianmiao had seen through his current thoughts.

”Yes, I won’t dwell on it anymore. One day, I will achieve it,” Dong Xiao acknowledged, and when he looked up again, he saw the chubby little Kong Hou curiously watching him.

”I’m Dong Xiao. From now on, we’ll be companions,” Dong Xiao stepped forward, squatting down to speak gently to Kong Hou.

”I’m Kong Hou. What does ’companions’ mean? Does it mean we can play together from now on?” Kong Hou tilted her little head and asked.

”Yes, from now on, we will be together, and also with the Boss,” Dong Xiao smiled.
