Medical Sage

Triumph Empire Mansion, 23rd Floor, Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House, Full Moon Room.

The room was filled with a scholarly atmosphere, the round wooden table laden with an array of delicacies that were a feast for the senses, enticing aromas from the pure soups in pots and jars making one’s appetite surge, yearning to indulge heartily.

”Brother Fei, why aren’t you eating? You haven’t spoken since you came in, even now with the dishes served. Is it that the things here at the Herbal Cuisine Workshop aren’t to your taste? It shouldn’t be, look at how booming the business outside is, it’s almost full again.”

Shanshan had a pot of ’Skin Beautifying Soup’ in front of her, eating with a flushed face and a bit of nervousness as she looked at Chen Fei, asking.

She had suggested coming to this Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House, so if the taste didn’t suit Chen Fei, she would feel a bit embarrassed.

”Brother Fei, are you okay?” Apel also noticed Chen Fei’s unusual behavior, but didn’t dare to ask by herself. Now that Shanshan had brought it up, she immediately hugged Chen Fei’s arm timidly and asked.

”What nonsense are you thinking?” Chen Fei gently tapped Apel’s forehead with his finger and then smiled, ”It’s not that this stuff isn’t delicious, it’s just that I’ve eaten too much of it back in Jiangnan, I’m fed up. Hey, they’re here...”

He suddenly said ’mysteriously’.

”Here? What’s here?” Liu Hui and Shanshan looked at each other, not understanding what Chen Fei meant.

On the contrary, Apel seemed to sense something and suddenly turned to look at the door of the private room.

The next moment, the door was pushed open.

”Brother Fei, is it really you?” Gao Yuan rushed in excitedly, leading the way.

”Here already? You haven’t changed a bit in all this time, still so reckless. Do you want me to treat you again?”

Chen Fei raised his hand in greeting and then smiled at Zhang Long who came in afterward, ”Along, long time no see.”

”Chen Fei, it really is you!” Zhang Long was immediately thrilled to see it was indeed Chen Fei. He hugged Chen Fei’s shoulders with both hands, ”Where have you been these three years? It’s like you’ve vanished from the face of the earth; no one could find you.”

”I’ve been to a very special place.”

Chen Fei also gave a robust pat on Along’s shoulder, full of smiles, then turned to the slightly dazed Shanshan, Liu Hui, and others at the table, apologizing, ”Sorry about that. When I arrived, I noticed my friends were also here, so I invited them to join us.”

”No problem, the more, the merrier, come, come, don’t just stand there, sit down quickly. Waiter, please get us an extra chair.” Shanshan, liking lively gatherings, responded enthusiastically, chattering as she welcomed them.

Liu Hui, however, had his eyes linger on Gao Yuan and Zhang Long’s faces for quite a while before suddenly clapping a hand and freezing in place.

”Could it be you two are Zhang Long, Boss Zhang, and Gao Yuan, Director Gao?” He stared at Gao Yuan and Zhang Long in disbelief.

”And you are?” Gao Yuan stared blankly at Liu Hui, not recognizing him.

”Oh right, you’re Liu Hui, Boss Liu from Xinhua Group?” It was Zhang Long who seemed to have met Liu Hui before, hesitated for a moment, and then suddenly realized, ”Boss Liu is also a friend of Chen Fei? If I’d known earlier, we would’ve connected more often, it’s like we’re family.”

With that, Zhang Long quickly went over to shake Liu Hui’s hand.

”I’m not, this...” Liu Hui’s face naturally showed some embarrassment, not knowing what to say.

At this point, Shanshan couldn’t resist giving Liu Hui a nudge in private, asking, ”Liu Hui, do you know them? Who are they?”

”They are two of the three big bosses of Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House, Young Master Gao Yuan and Boss Zhang Long.” Liu Hui quickly whispered to Shanshan.

”Wow! You guys are the big bosses of this Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House?”

Shanshan immediately exclaimed in excitement, turning to Gao Yuan and Zhang Long warmly, ”Boss Zhang, Director Gao, it would have been great to meet you sooner. Even if not for discounts, it would be nice to secure reservations more easily...”

”Hey, we’re all friends, no need to talk about money. Later, I’ll get you all some cards; from now on, whenever you come to our Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House, everything’s free.” Gao Yuan waved his hand generously.

”Really? Director Gao, you’re the best!” Shanshan immediately jumped up in excitement.

Moreover, this made her think Gao Yuan was a good person, worthy of being friends with, and quickly, in her usual lively nature, she started chatting excitedly, ”Director Gao, let me tell you, the stuff at your Herbal Cuisine Workshop is really good, all kinds of health porridges and beauty soups are not only delicious but actually effective! I’m sure it won’t be long before your Herbal Cuisine Workshop becomes famous nationwide, even globally...”

”Hehe, we’ll need the luck from a beauty like you for that. But about those health porridges and beauty soups being delicious and effective, they don’t have much to do with us...” Gao Yuan, in his excited mood, chuckled mysteriously.

Nothing to do with you?

Shanshan, Liu Hui, and the others were taken aback, not understanding what Gao Yuan meant by that.

Instead, Chen Fei understood, rolled his eyes grumpily, and slapped Gao Yuan on the head, ”Go, go, get out of here...”

”Brother Fei, don’t be in such a hurry to stop; what’s really going on? My curiosity is killing me, if you don’t tell me I’ll die, come on, tell me quickly...” Shanshan immediately played coy.

Even Apel got curious and asked, ”That’s right, Brother Fei, what is it exactly? Can you tell us?”

Chen Fei scratched his head helplessly, glaring at Gao Yuan who was clutching his head laughing, and having no choice, he said, ”It’s nothing much, just that I also have shares in this Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House. That’s all, nothing else...”

”You have the largest share!” Zhang Long quickly ’reported’.

”These health porridge and beauty stew recipes were given to us by Brother Fei.” Gao Yuan chuckled along.

”Wow! Seriously? Brother Fei, you’re actually the big boss of this Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House? Why didn’t you say something earlier...” Shanshan jumped up in surprise, her eyes wide open.

”So Brother Fei is the big boss of this Herbal Cuisine Workshop, no wonder...” Liu Hui was also stunned for a moment, then nodded thoughtfully. No wonder Chen Fei seemed a bit strange when he heard they were coming here to eat.

But given Chen Fei’s status of driving a General Audi, it’s not surprising to add another title like the big boss of some Herbal Cuisine Workshop. On the contrary, this might just be seen as a hobby, a side business?

”You guys didn’t ask. Alright, alright, let me make some introductions. This is Zhang Long, my old classmate, and this is Gao Yuan, a lucky brat.” Chen Fei quickly shifted the topic and introduced Gao Yuan and Zhang Long.

After speaking, he couldn’t help but ask, ”Where are Huang Feng and Zhao Le? Aren’t they in the Capital City?”

”No, they’re not.” Zhang Long nodded and said, ”Young Master Feng is currently overseeing the situation in Jiangnan, and Zhao Le has recently opened a new store business in Western Sichuan, he’s busy over there now.”

”Oh, that’s a shame, otherwise we could have gotten together. But it’s no big deal, there’ll be a chance next time.” Chen Fei nodded, then pointed to Shanshan and Liu Hui: ”This is Shanshan, and there’s Liu Hui.”

”Hello!”

”Hello!”

Zhang Long, Gao Yuan quickly greeted them.

”No, no. Boss Zhang, Director Gao, no need to be so formal. Hello...” Shanshan and Liu Hui also quickly responded.

Chen Fei then pointed to Apel next to him, smiling as he said, ”This is my girlfriend Apel. Apel, this is Zhang Long and Gao Yuan.”

”Zhang Long, Gao Yuan, hello.” Apel promptly stood up, her face beaming as she greeted them.

Girlfriend!?

But Zhang Long and Gao Yuan were taken aback, blimey, girlfriend!?

They’ve known Chen Fei for quite a long time, but for the title of girlfriend, someone truly recognized by Chen Fei and publicly introduced, probably only Apel is the one until now, right?

At that thought, Zhang Long and Gao Yuan exchanged glances, both seeing the sincerity in each other’s eyes, and promptly smiled warmly, saying, ”Hey sister-in-law, have a seat, feel free to sit. I’m Zhang Long (Gao Yuan), nice to meet you.”

Seeing this, Liu Hui and Shanshan were suddenly surprised, their mouths instinctively opening a bit wide.

They also have a knack for social scenarios, seeing that Apel is now just holding the title of Chen Fei’s girlfriend, yet can make Zhang Long and Gao Yuan, these two big bosses, be so courteous, even it can be said solemn.

This respect is quite substantial, isn’t it?

No wonder Brother Fei, who drives a General Audi, is really awesome!

”Alright, alright. We’re all among ourselves, why be so restrained? Along, what’s the matter you guys mentioned earlier?” Chen Fei waved his hand to let Zhang Long and others sit down, then furrowed his brows and said.

”Sigh, someone saw our Herbal Cuisine Workshop doing well in business and got jealous, wanting to meddle.”

Zhang Long felt a bit upset as he mentioned this matter and said.

”There’s still such a thing? Who are they...” Liu Hui instinctively added a comment. He suddenly thought of the Italian Rotating Restaurant downstairs that was closed...could it be the same group?

”That person claimed to be from the Chen Family, and they’re way too greedy. Offering only one billion, yet wanting sixty percent of our Herbal Cuisine Workshop shares or recipes, what the hell, seriously...” Zhang Long still felt suffocated at this moment and couldn’t help but curse.

”What? One billion? I may not understand much, but that’s too much, isn’t this Green Bamboo Medicinal Cuisine House worth more than one billion?” Shanshan couldn’t help but say furiously.

”These people seem to want to buy gold with the price of stones.” Apel furrowed her brow, finding these people rather disgusting.

”The Chen Family?” The only exception was Liu Hui, whose face changed drastically upon hearing this, pupils shrinking as he said, ”The Chen Family, which one?”

”Which else could it be? The political one...” Gao Yuan said helplessly.

”This...” Liu Hui was suddenly at a loss for words.

If it really is that Chen Family, then this matter could indeed become problematic!

Despite having money, which is true, but what does money matter, in Huaxia, especially in the Capital, offending those political big shots, a finger from them could crush you thoroughly.

Especially when it’s the Chen Family, even with his current status worth ten billion, seeing them, still a bit scared.

However, Chen Fei’s eyes flickered with a faint chill upon hearing this, his mouth curled as he calmly spoke.

”I’ll handle this matter. If they truly have no foresight, just right, let me see how imposing and incredible their Chen Family really is?”
