Capital Media University, officially named Capital City First Media Advertising University, is the top institution in Capital City and even throughout Huaxia. It is also well-known internationally and enjoys high prestige.

On this day, in the library of Capital University, a tall beauty with brown hair and blue eyes was quietly reading a book. Just this quiet action, with the soft sound of turning pages, exuded a gentle and elegant disposition, making people unconsciously deeply captivated.

Many male gazes in the library were drawn to that tall, gentle figure, unable to look away.

”Look quickly, it’s Apel, my gosh, she’s truly beautiful.”

”Isn’t that a given? I heard that since she joined the department, for a whole three years now, she has remained the number one beauty queen of our Capital Media University. It’s always been her title.”

”I also heard she used to be a supermodel in Italy, the supergirl of Angel’s Night. How can there be such a beautiful woman in this world? If only she were my girlfriend, that would be perfect.”

”You? Forget it, spare yourself. Don’t you know? Wang Hui from Xinhua Group has been pursuing her for three years. He’s the president of a ten-billion super giant group, and he still hasn’t succeeded. If Apel doesn’t even fancy Wang Hui, do you think she would fancy you?”

”Uh, I was just saying, just saying...”

…

Such whispers often echoed in the library. As the first beauty of their Capital Media University, almost all male students, even those who are gay, would admit to liking Apel.

But they also understood that such a perfect woman was not part of their world. She was beyond their reach.

At this moment, a beautiful figure in a floral dress entered the library, looked around, and with a full face of smiles, walked over to Apel.

”Apel, let’s go eat? Tonight, Liu Hui said he wants to treat us to dinner. Triumph Empire Mansion just opened a new Rotating Restaurant, Italy, and many people say it’s good...” she said warmly, hugging Apel.

She was Apel’s roommate at Capital Media University for three years, named Shanshan, and she was also quite a beauty. If Apel were a 99, she would at least be a 90.

”Shanshan, I’m not going.” Apel looked at Shanshan helplessly, pouting.

”Apel~”

Shanshan gave Apel a look full of ’lament’, speaking in a coquettish tone: ”It’s just dinner, right? Besides, Liu Hui is quite a catch, young, handsome, and very promising. The assets under Xinhua Group have recently surpassed 1.3 billion...”

Before she could finish, Apel interrupted her with a serious and earnest look: ”Shanshan, hadn’t we agreed? Can you stop making such jokes? I already have a boyfriend, and I love him very much. If you keep this up, I won’t talk to you anymore.”

”Don’t, don’t! Apel~ Apel, I was wrong~ don’t be mad, I won’t joke anymore.”

Shanshan raised her hands in surrender, looking adorably pitiful like a ’little captive’, and said with grievance: ”But let’s at least go to dinner tonight? At worst, I’ll treat. Liu Hui has pursued you for three years; if nothing else, he has worked hard for it. If you really don’t like him, can’t you at least treat him as a friend? Having dinner among friends is not a big deal, right?”

”But...” Apel was still a bit hesitant.

”Alright, alright, don’t hesitate. I know our Apel is the best. Haven’t we always had meals together before? It’s not a big deal... is it, Apel~” Shanshan pleaded, hugging Apel’s arm.

”Alright then.” Apel reluctantly agreed. After all, just having a meal was indeed no big deal.

”Hooray!”

Shanshan happily hugged Apel and cheered, then pouted and complained: ”Apel, I’m not the one to say, but that boyfriend you mentioned, I’ve been your classmate for three years, and never seen a call or a letter, not even a shadow. What’s the point of such a boyfriend? If it were me, I would have kicked him away a long time ago!”

”What nonsense are you talking about? Kicking who...” Apel lightly tapped Shanshan, slightly blushing, then sighed and laughed: ”In my heart, he’s the most perfect, best man. The reason he hasn’t come to see me in these three years is because he has his difficulties...”

”Difficulties? What difficulties? Oh dear, you’ve really let that person captivate your soul. I bet you would count the money for him even if he sold you alive.” Shanshan said with a face of ’hopelessness’.

”I’m willing!” Apel replied with a full-faced smile.

Over the past three years, his Chinese proficiency had become increasingly fluent.

”Oh my!” Shanshan slapped her forehead, looking speechless: ”Apel, I’m really starting to suspect. Don’t tell me you’re having a one-sided fling!”

”Enough, don’t ask about it anymore. Anyway, I won’t like Liu Hui...” Apel’s beautiful eyes dimmed slightly but quickly put on a smile: ”Let’s go, didn’t you say we’re having dinner tonight?”

With that, she got up to link arms with Shanshan.

But at this moment, a figure suddenly appeared in the corner of her eye, and an expression of disbelief rapidly spread across her face.

”You, you...” Apel stammered, wiping her eyes, as if wanting to confirm whether she had seen correctly. Moments later, her eyes became teary crescents, and she smiled, with tears, but it felt like a very happy, happy moment.

Because not far in front of her, Chen Fei was standing there with an apologetic look.

That face, she will remember for the rest of her life!

”Brother Fei!”

Amidst the scream of surprise, Apel, already in flats, rushed towards Chen Fei with tear-streaked cheeks, as if finally seeing a lover she had dreamed about day and night. Regardless of whether he liked it or not, she wrapped her arms around the face she could never forget and landed several heavy kisses on it, ’Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!’

As if she wanted to make sure this was real and not a dream.

Feeling the trembling and warmth coming from that face, Apel sobbed with joy, her whole body shaking as she said, ”This isn’t a dream, oh God~ Brother Fei, is it really you… are you back?”

She had waited for this day for three whole years. How many three-year spans does a woman have?

Apel hugged Chen Fei tightly, as if she wanted to merge her body into that long-desired embrace she had yearned for day and night.

Warm tears soaked Chen Fei’s clothes and his heart as well.

”Apel, I’m sorry… for making you wait so long…” Chen Fei said, full of guilt.

”No!” Apel reached out to cover Chen Fei’s lips, crying with a smile spread across her face, ”Brother Fei, did you know? I’ve been wanting to tell you this since three years ago, but I was too cowardly at the time… But now I have the courage.”

”I love you, Brother Fei!”

Apel buried her head deeply in Chen Fei’s embrace as she spoke.

Upon hearing these words, Chen Fei trembled violently, his eyes slightly red.

”I love you too, Apel…”

Apel’s delicate body trembled intensely, her head buried in Chen Fei’s arms sobbing, not lifting for a long time.

And upon witnessing this scene, everyone in the library hall, including Apel’s roommate, Shanshan, had their mouths agape, their jaws nearly hitting the smooth marble floor of the hall.

After all, who would have thought? Three whole years, and in their eyes, the perfect and flawless Apel, who had never shown any interest in any man - the recognized number one beauty of Capital Media University, now so excitedly and actively throwing herself into a person from Huaxia’s embrace, even kissing him?

”A-Apel, you, you…” Shanshan found herself unable to close her mouth at all, the shock in her heart indescribable.

Because what she discovered at this moment was simply too world-shattering for her perceptions.

Could this really be her roommate Apel she knew?

Wasn’t she supposed to guard her heart like a jade for that girlfriend of hers for a lifetime… Wait a second!

Shanshan suddenly widened her eyes, staring at Chen Fei, mumbling, ”Isn’t he Apel’s boyfriend? He’s not even that great, how does he compare to Liu Hui…”

At this moment, a handsomely dressed man in his thirties walked into the library. Upon spotting Shanshan not far away, he was about to greet her but the next scene he glimpsed froze him completely.

”Isn’t she… Apel?” The man in the suit stared blankly at Apel’s silhouette in Chen Fei’s embrace, not snapping back for a long while, as if not recognizing her.

It was only afterward that he realized what was happening. His expression immediately turned gloomy, his gaze filled with jealousy.

”Liu Hui.” Seeing the man in the suit, Shanshan was still a bit dazed, stepped forward to greet.

It turns out this man was Liu Hui, who Shanshan mentioned, the CEO of Xinhua Group, worth 1.3 billion.

Look at his age, only in his thirties; achieving such accomplishments is indeed worthy of praise for being talented at a young age.

Unfortunately, the goddess he’d chased for over three years still wasn’t interested in him, and now she even threw herself into another man’s arms in front of him. That feeling, let’s not mention it, was indescribably painful.

”Shanshan, this is?” Liu Hui asked, somewhat in a daze.

”I don’t know. But… isn’t that the boyfriend Apel talked about for years?” Shanshan unsurely turned her eyes, stepping forward, ”Let’s go and ask.”

”Apel, is this the boyfriend you talked about for more than three years? Finally, we’ve met him in person. Hello, I’m Apel’s roommate, Shanshan, won’t you introduce yourself?”

”Yes, Apel, your mysterious boyfriend has been on your lips for three years. Now that we’ve met him in person, shouldn’t you give us a ’detailed’ introduction?” Liu Hui too stepped forward, sulkily saying.

After speaking, he cast a hostile, challenging gaze at Chen Fei, stretched out his hand, and said, ”Hello friend, what’s your name? I’m Liu Hui from Xinhua Group… Apel’s friend.”

He was confident that with the scale of Xinhua Group and his frequent appearances on major TV shows, hearing his name would certainly let people know who he was.
