The Capital City is very large, and this evening rush hour adds to the myriad of vehicles and congestion. So even though Chen Fei and his group were driving this ’General Audi’, apart from the red lights, it was a smooth journey. Yet, it still took them nearly an hour to reach the destination.

By this time, it was almost eight o’clock in the evening.

”Woo~ we finally arrived. Had we known the road would be this congested, we wouldn’t have come all this way just for dinner. Don’t you think, Apel and Brother Fei? These cars jammed together, it’s sheer torture!”

After parking in the underground parking lot of Triumph Empire Mansion and taking the elevator, Shanshan sniffed with a sullen face and grumbled.

This city of the capital, being the nation’s capital and an international metropolis, has everything good except for the traffic jams, which are really unbearable! So annoying!

However, although the journey was so congested and torturous, there was another benefit: the nearly hour-long roadside chat eased their awe towards Chen Fei a little.

At least, if nothing else, Shanshan dared to chatter away like a machine gun.

Before coming here, when they first saw that ’General Audi’, she would likely have been lively but wouldn’t have dared to continue causing a ruckus like that.

”Exactly~” Chen Fei wore a face of empathy, looking conflicted, ”The Capital City, not to mention the evening, is probably polluted and congested starting around four or five in the afternoon. Cars are lined up, crawling like snails. Ah, truly a headache…”

”Brother Fei, the Rotating Restaurant, Italy is on the 21st floor.” Liu Hui, standing nearby, couldn’t help but chuckle at Chen Fei’s expression and said. At this moment, Chen Fei and his group were blocking the elevator buttons, and he couldn’t reach out.

”Oh, sorry...” Chen Fei then realized he was blocking others and apologized with a smile, reaching out to press the 21st button.

After pressing it, he couldn’t resist reaching out to tousle Apel’s flowing brunette hair, chuckling, ”This is your country’s themed restaurant. Do tell us what tastes good later.”

”Hmm~” Apel smiled sweetly, a little inexplicably nervous, ”I wonder if the owner of this restaurant is from Italy? If not, perhaps their Italian food won’t taste as good...”

”Exactly, when I studied abroad in Italy, I felt the local restaurants were incredibly tasty. Now that I’m back, although there are quite a few Italian restaurants in the Capital City, the taste always feels different from what I had in Italy,” Shanshan interjected.

”There is that saying.”

Liu Hui immediately nodded, puzzled, ”I used to eat hot pot in Chongqing at a famous and delicious place called ’Little Yu’, but later they opened a branch in the Capital City. When I went to eat, the taste felt completely different. Don’t know why... Many other delicacies seem like that.”

”Is it due to the climate and water?”

Chen Fei, semi-understanding, casually guessed, ”Different regional climates and water resources have subtle differences. Mixed together, perhaps they could amplify the taste difference of the same delicacy...”

As soon as Chen Fei finished speaking, the elevator dinged, arriving at the 21st floor, and the door opened.

Chen Fei was slightly puzzled, stepping out, ”Let’s go, the 21st floor is here. Whether it’s good or not, let’s try it first.”

”Wait, wait...” Just then, Liu Hui suddenly blocked the way with a strange expression, his face slightly reddened as he looked outside the elevator, seeming embarrassed?

”Liu Hui, what’s wrong? The elevator has reached the 21st floor, why not go out?” Shanshan asked in confusion.

”No, it’s just, look at that, over there...” Liu Hui pointed to not far from the elevator at an Italian restaurant with a notice posted outside, slowly and awkwardly saying, ”Strangely, why has the place been closed?”

”What!?”

”Closed!?”

”-,-!”

Chen Fei, Apel, and Shanshan were immediately stunned.

After a while, Chen Fei’s mouth twitched and he said, ”Didn’t we go to the wrong place? This is the 21st floor?”

”Seems we didn’t go wrong...” Apel still naively turned back to check the floor number on the elevator, echoing.

”Hey, Liu Hui, I say, are you serious? Inviting us for dinner, didn’t you call to reserve a place in advance or something? I heard this restaurant’s business was quite good, so how could it...”

Shanshan wasn’t as embarrassed as Chen Fei and Apel, directly ranting at Liu Hui.

But even as she complained, she couldn’t help but feel a bit puzzled. Before, many of her friends and classmates had recommended this new place and said it was very popular, so logically, it shouldn’t be like this, right?

Just then, a staff member from another store seemed to pass by. Seeing the expressions on Chen Fei and his group’s faces, as if it was something frequently seen, he casually remarked, ”Heard someone wanted to capitalize on this restaurant’s booming business without investment, trying to intervene and profit. The restaurant owner is Italian and didn’t fall for it, simply closing down and leaving…”

”Uh...” Chen Fei, Shanshan, and Liu Hui’s faces instantly turned as if they’d swallowed flies, unsure of how to describe how uncomfortable they felt.

The main thing is, although they are people of Huaxia, they’ve seen these tricks and bullying games many times. Even if they are outraged, they wouldn’t find it strange. But the main issue now is that there’s an Apel here.

Apel is a true Italian. Hearing that her fellow countryman encountered such unfair treatment, it’s hard to tell what she might think. That feeling, they could almost feel their face turning red, embarrassed!

”Really is a scoundrel. Losing face for us Huaxia people.” Shanshan said angrily.

Chen Fei’s eyes flickered, shook his head, but still didn’t say anything.

If he had happened upon this situation, he might have intervened, but now that restaurant manager probably doesn’t even want to continue, and if he gets involved, it seems pointless.

”Should we go eat somewhere else? Shanshan, Liu Hui, what do you want to eat? What about you, Apel?” Shaking his head, he said.

”I can eat anything. As long as Brother Fei is there, it’s fine.” Apel smiled sweetly, seemingly untouched by this disgusting incident. But then again, three years ago, she came out of the international modeling circle, that place is much dirtier.

So she’s grown accustomed to such things. Moreover, anyway, right now, as long as Chen Fei is there, nothing else matters, what could be such a big deal?

”Tch~”

Seeing Apel showing off love and sprinkling dog food again, Shanshan couldn’t stay calm and clicked her tongue, drawing circles to curse: ”Apel, didn’t I teach you a phrase the other day? Show off your love and you die fast~ draw circles to curse you.”

”Shanshan, are you sure you’re not just jealous of me?” A mischievous smile appeared on Apel’s face, she tiptoed slightly and boldly gave Chen Fei a peck on the cheek, then looked at Shanshan with a big smile, ’provokingly’ saying: ”Shanshan, why don’t you find yourself a boyfriend? Actually, I always thought you and Liu Hui are a perfect match, what do you think?”

”You know, I kind of think you two are actually quite suited to each other, handsome man and pretty woman, and your relationship is so close... you might as well pair up and be together. Save yourselves from feeling imbalanced all the time, getting fed dog food by me and Apel, hehe.”

Chen Fei also became a bit like a matchmaking gossip, smiling mischievously as he spoke.

Though he was joking, he really felt that way. From what he perceived on this journey, it seemed Liu Hui didn’t so much fancy Apel but rather had feelings for Shanshan.

It’s just that neither of them seemed to have any experience or thoughts in that direction, so both were clueless.

”Gosh! What nonsense are you all talking?” Upon hearing this, Shanshan reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, her face suddenly flushed red, raising her little head, with a ’scornful’ sidelong glance slyly at Liu Hui, she dragged out her voice: ”He~~~ I, Miss Chen, would never fancy him? We’re just good buddies, got it? Good buddies!”

Liu Hui also felt his mood was a bit subtle at this moment. But that feeling was like a layer of fog in his heart had long been there, and suddenly someone peeled it away.

”Do I genuinely have feelings for this tomboy?”

Liu Hui questioned himself in his mind, then quickly shook his head, muttering: ”How could that be, I like Apel, this tomboy, talks so much all day, almost like a machine gun, whoever likes her must be out of luck...”

”Liu Hui, what nonsense are you muttering about? Do you dare say I’m a tomboy, do you believe I’ll bite you to death?”

But how could he have known that Shanshan’s ears suddenly became sharp at this moment?

Overhearing his mutterings, Shanshan immediately reacted like an enraged little lion, baring her teeth and claws, rushing towards Liu Hui.

”Oh my, tomboy, no, I mean, Chen Shanshan, what are you doing? Let go, you know? If you don’t let go, do you believe I’ll fight back?” Faced with the ’attack’, Liu Hui also began to shout and complain.

”Fight back? Liu Hui, are you a man? Today, if you have the guts, just try fighting back against Miss Chen!” Shanshan, with her little bunny teeth, swiftly aimed at Liu Hui’s hand and bit down, showing quite the vigor.

Before long, Liu Hui clutched his hand full of teeth marks, looking dejectedly and said: ”Chen Shanshan, are you a dog?”

”I feel like it! Daring to bully Miss Chen, you deserve it, understand?” Shanshan’s rosy cheeks had a faint blush, her mood was still somewhat subtle, and to mask it, she deliberately acted like a victorious Great General, proudly tilting her head.

”Apel, don’t you think these two are actually quite a good match?” Seeing the scene, Chen Fei couldn’t help but ask like a matchmaking aunt who had pocketed a red envelope, smilingly speaking.

”That’s a rhetorical question.” Apel smiled playfully, showing off her accumulated Huaxia idioms, her eyes charmingly laughed: ”They’re practically a family!”

”Who’s a family with him!?”

”Who’s a family with her!?”

Both Shanshan and Liu Hui’s faces turned red, unanimously denying it.

Their reaction was surprisingly consistent.

Hehe. Chen Fei and Apel couldn’t help but laugh.
