Medical Sage

Clearly, even he had never expected to encounter such a terrifying creature on the outskirts. He had originally thought that only in the deepest part of the palace would it be possible to encounter one, yet now...

”Mr. Chen! It’s a Flame Demon!” someone answered for Omado, their face a mask of terror as they turned to flee. ”They’re natives of our Divine Demon Realm! Once they reach adulthood, they possess the power of the Holy Domain! Damn it, wasn’t the Demon of the Holy Domain supposed to be sealed? Why is it here?! Run! None of us are a match for it!”

But before the man could run more than a few meters, countless small fireballs shot out from the demonic mist. HISS! HISS! On closer inspection, they were miniature versions of the fearsome Flame Demon. Dozens, nearly a hundred of them, swarmed and overwhelmed the fleeing man in an instant, not even giving him time to scream. After tearing him to pieces, the Little Flame Demons turned and surrounded the rest of the group.

”Those are the Flame Demon’s splinter bodies... Little Flame Demons...” At this sight, the faces of the others turned even paler, utterly drained of color. In a situation like this, how could they possibly run? They were, of course, acutely aware of how foolish it was to expose their backs to an enemy. The man who had fled was a prime example.

WHOOSH!

Yet, in this moment of extreme tension, Chen Fei, who had been observing with cold, narrowed eyes, suddenly moved without warning. He raised a hand, and eighteen streams of Sword Qi of Sanyang True Fire erupted like a raging torrent, blasting toward the vital areas of the demon-headed True Form of Flame Demon! The power was immense!

”ROAR!”

The True Form of the Flame Demon had never expected an ant like Chen Fei to dare attack it first. It let out an enraged roar. Flames filled the sky, and the heatwaves were terrifying. The molten sulfur and fire on its body dripped down like burning liquid, melting deep pits into the ground that made one’s scalp tingle.

However, Young Master Chen’s methods were a step faster.

The eighteen streaks of Sword Qi of Sanyang True Fire slammed into the demon’s body one after another like missiles, erupting in a terrifying cloud of smoke and shockwaves.

”What? This... how is this possible?!” As the smoke rapidly dissipated, the onlookers’ pupils shrank, and they cried out in shock.

The Flame Demon, which they had considered invincible, was now missing half of its body! Although the towering flames already seemed to be regenerating the missing part, the sight was still shocking enough. After all, this was a true, legendary Flame Demon! Who could possibly stand against such a high-level monster?

”ROAR!”

Just as they were reeling, the True Form of the Flame Demon had already regenerated its missing half. From within its hollow sockets, its cold eyes glared with extreme cruelty. A maddening roar that could rupture eardrums spewed from its mouth. In that same instant, a terrifying heat erupted from its body and locked onto Chen Fei, brimming with primal, ferocious killing intent.

Not only that, but the Little Flame Demons in the outer ring also began to shrink their hunting circle with a series of hisses, coldly surrounding Chen Fei. The heatwaves became almost unbearably scorching.

Seeing this, Young Master Chen narrowed his eyes slightly, showing no hint of panic. He glanced sideways at Omado and the two men behind him. ”You three take on the small ones,” he said coldly. ”I’ll handle the big one. Any problem with that?”

Chen Fei’s words were calm, but they caused a flicker of hesitation on the faces of Omado and his two companions. Their current position was outside the circle of Little Flame Demons, so if they wanted to escape, perhaps... it was possible...

But the hesitation on their faces lasted only a second before vanishing. Omado gritted his teeth and said, ”Mr. Chen, please be careful...”

They were all intelligent men. If they abandoned Chen Fei now, they would surely make a deadly enemy of him. And if Chen Fei managed to escape the Flame Demon on his own, what would happen to them? The outcome was a no-brainer.

Besides, looking at the situation now, it didn’t seem as bad as they had first feared. The Flame Demon didn’t seem to possess the power of the Holy Domain after all!

Could it be a juvenile? Or is it just weakened...

”ROAR!”

At that moment, a fierce light shot from the empty eye sockets of the True Form of the Flame Demon. A terrifying aura erupted from its body of sulfur and fire, and the air instantly became scorching. The waves of heat themselves seemed to solidify. This was clearly the sign that the massive creature was about to attack! Seeing this, Young Master Chen didn’t hesitate, immediately throwing forth the Mystic Stone Mirror he held in his hand.

The Mystic Stone Mirror spun into the air, instantly transforming into a torrent of mud that surged forward!

A deep rumbling sound filled the air.

This scene left Omado and his two companions stunned, their faces etched with disbelief. They gasped. What is that power? That mirror... could it be a Divine Artifact? They were suddenly incredibly relieved that they hadn’t abandoned Chen Fei and fled. Otherwise, our fate would have been terrible, wouldn’t it? The power of that mirror was simply terrifying! It reminded them of the Divine Artifacts of their Western Dark World!

”What are you standing around for?!” Chen Fei’s furious voice shattered their shock. ”Do you three want to die like those other two unlucky bastards? Move!”

Just then, the Little Flame Demons seemed to receive an order. WHOOSH! WHOOSH! They pounced viciously toward Chen Fei, spewing jets of intensely hot Hellfire from their mouths and putting immense pressure on him.
