Delta is Coming, Big Red Has Special Effects

329: The Great Way is SimpleThe Soldiers and Xia Country Operatives on both sides of the front lines continuously fell to the ground in this clash.

Those behind stepped over the corpses in front and charged towards the other side again.

Soon, corpses piled up into hills.

In the middle of the battlefield, a long strip of cover formed from the bodies.

”Plasma Cannon fully charged!”

”Everyone, dodge to both sides!”

In the Hafke army’s communication system, the AI’s warning sounded at this moment.

Most Hafke Soldiers quickly dodged to both sides.

However, quite a few Hafke Soldiers remained in place with determined eyes, continuing to charge in the direction of the Xia Country Operatives.

If everyone moved aside at this moment, the Xia Country Operatives would surely notice.

But if they used their bodies to shield it...

Then the Plasma Cannon at the very back would annihilate them along with the Xia Country Operatives.

Five seconds later.

At the very rear of the Hafke battlefield, the muzzle of the Plasma Cannon began to gather a blue glow, ready to fire.

Boom—!

With a hum, a blue light beam pierced across the center of the battlefield!

The Xia Country Operatives in the very middle completely vanished without knowing what happened.

And a batch of Hafke Soldiers in the middle of their ranks also completely vanished.

A long, empty gap simultaneously formed in the center of both armies.

The ice that had originally frozen the ground, and the acid rain flowing above it, were all annihilated by this shot, leaving only ravines and black scorched earth.

This scene truly surprised the Xia Country Operatives.

They had absolutely no idea that Hafke would actually use such a large-scale weapon of mass destruction.

But surprise aside, there was no time to think about such things on the battlefield.

They could die now, or in the next second.

All anyone could do was kill as many enemies as possible before their own death.

As for whether there would be another weapon of mass destruction...

For them, it didn’t matter.

Soon, the Xia Country Operatives’ ammunition gradually ran out.

In contrast, Hafke’s side continued to fire an unending stream of bullets at them.

Swish—!

Swish—!

Clang—!

The Operatives whose ammunition ran out didn’t hesitate for a moment.

Almost instantly, they pulled out the ceremonial daggers from their waists.

Melee combat unfolded at this moment.

The Xia Country Operatives charged ferociously at the Hafke Soldiers.

During the process, many of them fell under Hafke’s artillery fire and gunfire.

Immediately after, several smoke screens shot up from behind the Xia Country forces, soaring into the sky!

”Smoke screen coverage!!!”

Hiss—!

Hiss—!

In addition to the smoke screens, countless smoke grenades were thrown in the direction of the Hafke army.

The battlefield was instantly completely covered in smoke.

”They’re crazy!”

”How can they win a melee fight against us?”

Facing such a frantic battle, the Hafke Soldiers couldn’t help but frown.

Although their hearts were also filled with anger and sadness over the deaths of their comrades...

They weren’t crazy to that extent.

The reason they dared to trade lives with the Xia Country Operatives was because they knew that after it was over, they would be resurrected as clones.

They would just have to endure a period of soaking.

But the other side was completely different.

They only had one life.

Yet their fighting style was even more hysterical than those who could be resurrected.

Even crazier!

If fear is the instinct of living beings, and courage is the anthem of humanity...

Then at this moment, Xia Country could be called a symphony!

In mid-air.

After Liu Yan’s Soldiers fought against the Hafke mobile forces for a while...

They quickly realized that relying solely on firearms would never break through their mecha defenses.

They thus fell into a disadvantage.

From mutual attacks at the beginning, it turned into one-sided evasion by the Soldiers.

”Damn it, why do these Hafke bastards’ equipment always outclass ours?!”

After dodging a nearly fatal laser cannon shot, a Soldier immediately couldn’t help but curse.

Not just him, the brows of the other Soldiers also furrowed slightly at this moment.

Since following Liu Yan, they had never once been at a disadvantage in terms of equipment.

”Everyone, retreat together, away from the ground battlefield!”

”Then all pull out your vertical and horizontal!”

”Alright!”

Whoosh—!

The Soldiers simultaneously flew backward rapidly.

Seeing these Soldiers retreat, the Hafke aerial mobile forces immediately gave chase.

Boom—!

Flames erupted from their palms and feet simultaneously, providing propulsion.

Both their linear speed and curved acceleration far exceeded the Soldiers’ power propulsion devices.

As for the Emergency Evasion Device, it was difficult to put to use in this situation.

”Now!”

”Everyone, pull out your vertical and horizontal!”

Seeing that they were far from the ground battlefield, the Soldiers simultaneously pulled out the vertical and horizontal in their hands.

Immediately after, everyone’s vertical and horizontal suddenly flipped!

Under everyone’s irregular, repeated flipping, the Hafke mobile forces immediately became disoriented.

Not only them, but when everyone used the vertical and horizontal together, even the Soldiers found it difficult to maintain their precise posture at first.

Soon, the equipment gap became apparent at this moment.

Because the Soldiers’ power propulsion device was a continuous single-stage propulsion, compared to the continuous propulsion of the Hafke aerial mobile forces, facing the continuous inversion of the vertical and horizontal, it was much more strenuous.

Not only that, inside the Hafke mechas, on everyone’s screens, after the flip occurred, various garbled codes lit up.

At the same time, an AI voice sounded inside their helmets.

”Current range gravity shifted upwards.”

”After flying 37 meters in the current direction, gravity will return to normal.”

”16 meters above, gravity shifted upwards.”

”3 meters to the front-left, gravity is normal.”

”1 meter to the front-right, gravity counteracted, anti-compression energy shield activated.”

The Soldiers were completely unaware of everything in their helmets.

They only knew that what they had mastered after years of hard training—maintaining normal flight under the interference of the vertical and horizontal—took only three seconds for Hafke.

Just as a Soldier was affected by gravity interference, a tracking rocket shot directly towards him!

Boom—!

Upon seeing the tracking rocket shot at him, the Soldier’s pupils suddenly constricted.

Without the interference of the vertical and horizontal, he would have been able to use multiple power propulsion devices to shake it off.

But now, under such interference, he couldn’t do it.

Thump thump thump—!

Bang—!

Just as the small rocket was 20 meters away from him, a muffled gunshot sounded from the ground.

Immediately after, the small rocket exploded instantly.

Seeing this, the Soldier looked astonished.

He looked down in the direction of the trajectory.

With just one glance, he saw a familiar figure holding an m250 general-purpose machine gun.

”Officer Sayyid?!”

Immediately after, he looked shocked.

On the left side of the battlefield, Hafke Soldiers’ bodies lay everywhere.

And the extended barrel of the m250 general-purpose machine gun in Sayyid’s hand had turned red from overheating at this moment.

The Soldier’s voice was not quiet, and for a moment, the other Soldiers also looked over.

”Is that... Officer Sayyid?”

”He, alone, killed all the Hafke Soldiers over there?”

”No, there’s also that Little Girl named Su Mulan.”

They also saw what had just happened.

Through the slightly sunken ground beneath Sayyid’s feet, they could tell that Sayyid had not moved a single step from beginning to end.

Indeed, that was the case.

Ever since pulling out the m250 general-purpose machine gun, Sayyid had been firing frantically.

During this time, there were no fancy maneuvers.

Just continuous firing.

Just as Sayyid had said: The greatest truth is the simplest.
