Delta is Coming, Big Red Has Special Effects

137: Shield Dog - Mobile FortressA full half-minute of powerful crowd control.

If, in a later battle, someone uses an enhanced sonic shock drone and it isn’t shot down and destroyed immediately, the result will inevitably be a team wipe.

Thirty seconds is enough time to die several times over.

”Ugh—!”

”Ugh—!”

Fuji, who was nearby, quickly ran behind a container, unable to stop himself from vomiting.

The three Soldiers also felt unwell, but not to the point of vomiting.

Liu Yan, however, didn’t have much of a lingering reaction, and his recovery speed just now was a bit faster than theirs.

Fuji took a bottle of saliva-producing lemon tea to rinse his mouth, then said,

”Iron Egg, this thing doesn’t distinguish between friend and foe!”

Before Liu Yan could speak, Zhao Chuang, covered in blood, walked back from not far away, his fierce face looking like a demon god from a distance!

”Looks like you didn’t find any pants,” Liu Yan said with a smile.

Zhao Chuang exhaled roughly and said helplessly,

”I can’t wear any of theirs.”

Then, suddenly remembering his recent experience, he looked at Liu Yan and continued,

”Oh, Brother Yan, before I came back, something made my vision go black, and it took a while for me to wake up.”

As soon as Zhao Chuang said this, Liu Yan immediately realized it was due to the effect of the shock drone, and quickly asked,

”Where were you at the time?”

Zhao Chuang thought for a moment.

”At the Blue something hotel over there.”

Liu Yan’s pupils contracted!

The Landings Hotel!

Is this range so exaggerated?

Such a wide-ranging piece of equipment that doesn’t distinguish between friend and foe is a genuine double-edged sword.

And the wind-up time is definitely not enough to get out of range.

”How long did it take you to recover just now?”

Zhao Chuang fell into recollection again.

”Quite a long time, probably seven or eight seconds.”

Upon hearing this, Fuji’s eyes nearly popped out.

”How much?! Seven or eight seconds?!”

Liu Yan also felt a bit surprised.

But Zhao Chuang scratched his head sheepishly.

”Luckily there were no enemies then, otherwise I might have dragged Brother Yan down again.”

”If Brother Yan encountered this situation, I believe he definitely wouldn’t fall for it.”

Zhao Chuang looked at Liu Yan with eyes full of adoration.

Fuji also glanced at Liu Yan, thinking to himself.

Your Brother Yan just lay on the ground and napped for thirty seconds.

”Cough—cough—”

Liu Yan coughed twice, signaling to Fuji that he knew, and there was no need to say it out loud.

Combining the recent situation, Liu Yan had already figured out that physique had a mitigating effect on shock.

After all, he had also received an m1 muscle injector, so he woke up earlier than them and had no subsequent adverse reactions.

”Zhao Chuang, what are the effects of the Shield and grappling hook gun in your hand?”

After Liu Yan asked, Zhao Chuang raised his left arm and waved it in front of Liu Yan and Fuji.

They saw that on Zhao Chuang’s arm, there was an item resembling a bracelet, and on it, there was a miniature Shield.

Zhao Chuang moved his arm, and the Shield instantly enlarged.

”Is that it?” Liu Yan frowned.

It just became more portable, which indeed makes it more mobile in many situations, but that’s all.

If there were no other equipment enhancement effects, then the Shield’s enhancement would still be very useful.

But Zhao Chuang shook his head and put away the Shield.

Then, Zhao Chuang took a stable stance, adopting a defensive posture.

Whoosh—!

The Shield on Zhao Chuang’s arm instantly sprang open, forming a semicircle that completely covered Zhao Chuang.

It was like an inverted bowl.

As Zhao Chuang lowered his body, the Shield also adhered to the ground, leaving almost no gaps.

”Next is the effect of the grappling hook gun.”

As Zhao Chuang finished speaking, countless small holes appeared on the semicircular Shield.

Zzzzz—!!!

Instantly, dozens of dragon claws shot out from it, flying in all directions!

Liu Yan was the first to react, dodging the dragon claw with a slight sidestep.

However, the three Soldiers and Fuji were directly hooked, and then an irresistible force dragged the four of them in front of the Shield!

Whoosh—!

The Shield instantly disappeared, turning into a bracelet and returning to Zhao Chuang’s arm, while Zhao Chuang’s right hand had already transformed into a dragon claw!

If Zhao Chuang wanted to, in that instant, he could have instantly killed all four of them.

”Old Chuang, you should have said something first, you scared me!” Fuji patted his chest repeatedly.

Seeing the effect Zhao Chuang just demonstrated, Liu Yan’s eyes lit up!

A mobile defensive fortress with no blind spots, capable of pulling people in for forced close combat.

Seeing that Liu Yan could react so quickly to the dragon claw, Zhao Chuang shook his head in disappointment.

He had originally planned to show off a little in front of Liu Yan.

”Did you bring the mandel bricks?”

Liu Yan looked up at Zhao Chuang.

”They’re all here,” Zhao Chuang pulled out five mandel bricks from his pocket.

”Good, let’s go decipher them quickly.”

”You three, take these mandel bricks; these operations are very simple, so I don’t need to teach you.”

Before leaving, Liu Yan casually tossed three enhanced mandel bricks to the three Soldiers.

The Soldiers incredulously took the mandel bricks, looking at Liu Yan in astonishment.

They had all witnessed the effects of the equipment inside.

Its value needed no further explanation.

Finally, a thousand words converged into one sentence:

”We swear to follow Liu Yan to the death!”

At the same time, a silent resolve formed in their hearts.

If one day, anyone, no matter who, tried to harm Liu Yan, they would have to step over their dead bodies.

Liu Yan and the others successively placed the five undeciphered mandel bricks at the deciphering station.

While the deciphering was underway, the three of them recycled the equipment from the bodies one by one.

”Iron Egg, your capitalist methods worked; out of over 60 people, only two were wearing five sets.”

Liu Yan rolled his eyes.

”Are you insulting me? What do you mean ’capitalist methods’? Am I that kind of person?”

”Although the overall quantity is less, they aren’t completely without means of acquisition.”

”Many places in the action area allow you to get Level 5 helmets and armor.”

Fuji nodded thoughtfully upon hearing this.

”Once they find them, you can harvest another wave!”

After collecting the equipment, the three didn’t waste any more time in the action area but instead pulled the lever and evacuated... After exiting the entrance, Liu Yan noticed that the atmosphere in front of the entrance was a bit different.

Some people had faint excitement and smiles on their lips.

It was like that feeling of suddenly discovering you’ve won millions in the lottery while at work, but not announcing it, wanting to play dumb to catch a tiger.

The other part of the crowd, however, was the opposite, with confident looks on their faces that said, ”I don’t eat beef.”

As for where this confidence came from, Liu Yan could roughly guess.

With the increased drop rate earlier, there must have been quite a few people who got mandel supercomputing units.

But a mandel supercomputing unit, without a mandel brick, is no different from a useless brick.

And now in the action area, mandel bricks are a guaranteed drop, with five at a time.

With a little strength, getting a mandel brick out isn’t difficult.

When the two are combined, one can walk around with confidence in most situations within the action area.

Judging by their appearance, this was clearly the case.
