Delta is Coming, Big Red Has Special Effects

102: A sharp drop in the number of operatives”What are you looking at? Looking for pretty girls?” Fuji patted Liu Yan.

”Don’t you think there are too few people in the restaurant at this time?”

After Liu Yan finished speaking, Fuji looked around.

”Now that you mention it, it really seems to be the case. Business is hard to do these days.” Fuji sighed.

”I’m not talking about that. Don’t forget, everyone who comes to this restaurant is a Third District Operative.”

After Liu Yan reminded him, Fuji suddenly realized.

Just then, a waiter came over carrying a giant lobster.

”Hello, here’s your African lobster.” The waiter smiled politely and placed the plate with the lobster on the table.

Just as the waiter was about to retreat and leave, Fuji called out to him.

”Let me ask you something, why are there so few people here lately?”

The waiter shook his head apologetically, clearly knowing but unable to tell the three of them.

”Payment code.” Liu Yan directly pulled out his phone.

The waiter looked around. Since there weren’t many people in the restaurant, his colleagues were all playing on their phones in the rest area.

But the waiter still looked troubled.

”Zhao Chuang, block it.” Liu Yan pointed his phone at the camera.

Zhao Chuang nodded and walked behind the waiter, his broad physique completely shielding the waiter.

Seeing this, the waiter quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket and placed it on the table.

”Alipay transfer successful, 100,000 yuan.”

Hearing this notification sound, Fuji could clearly feel that the waiter’s breathing became somewhat rapid.

The waiter had never seen such a situation before; a 100,000 yuan tip for asking a question?

”Speak.” Liu Yan put away his phone.

”Foreigners have appeared in the Third District recently, you must know that, right?”

Liu Yan nodded, signaling him to continue.

”Many Foreigners are now ganging up against our Xia Country Operatives.”

”Torture, humiliation, and... in short, as cruel as it gets.”

”Most of the Operatives have already withdrawn from the Third District and are not preparing to enter again.”

Liu Yan’s brow furrowed slightly.

”Is that all? What’s so unspeakable about it?”

The waiter quickly waved his hand.

”The Authorities take this matter extremely seriously and specifically sent people to our restaurant to warn us not to spread rumors.”

”They said it would affect morale, and then no Operatives would dare to enter at all.”

Liu Yan played with a ceramic spoon in his hand, as if deep in thought.

”Is that all The Authorities are capable of?”

”Even if The Authorities can’t solve it and don’t make it public, wouldn’t other unsuspecting Operatives be crippled when they enter?”

Hearing Liu Yan’s question, the waiter shook his head. This time, he truly didn’t know.

Seeing this, Liu Yan didn’t continue to ask, just gestured for him to leave.

After the waiter left, Zhao Chuang was finally relieved. He returned to his seat and pulled off a lobster claw.

With a flick of his finger and a pull, the entire lobster claw separated like a toy, revealing the tender white meat inside.

From the information just gathered, Liu Yan only drew one key conclusion.

That is, the number of Operatives is very important to The Authorities.

Even if it means sacrifice.

Watching the two in front of him feast, Liu Yan, who hadn’t eaten all day, also felt a bit hungry. He simply stopped thinking and decided to eat first.

After all, neither the experiences of other Operatives nor the goals of The Authorities had anything to do with him.

Even if all Xia Country Operatives withdrew, it wouldn’t stop Liu Yan from killing Foreigners to make money.

The most important thing right now is to quickly increase the number of his Soldiers.

When the day of arrival comes, no matter how chaotic the world is, he can ensure that he and those around him can protect themselves.

As for the rest, it had nothing to do with him.

After dinner, the three went their separate ways. Before leaving, they agreed to meet at Fuji’s company tomorrow and enter the Third District together... The next day.

Early in the morning, the three entered the Third District through the mist at the back door of Fuji’s office.

”Is it still Dam Zero today?” Fuji turned to ask Liu Yan.

”No, sometimes at Dam Zero, the entire map is filled with my Soldiers, which slows efficiency a lot.”

”Now we’ll start with Longbow Stream Valley.”

Liu Yan was not wearing any equipment; he only needed to bring quantum storage. Then he could take out the powerful vacuum cleaner from it and give equipment to his Soldiers.

As for Fuji and Zhao Chuang, they only needed to wait outside for Liu Yan, and then enter together in the afternoon when it was time to make money.

After all, for efficiency, Liu Yan repeatedly entered, conquered Soldiers, equipped them, and then committed suicide.

There was no need for the two of them to go together.

At the entrance of Longbow Stream Valley, looking around, there were almost no Xia Country Operatives left.

Only two Official personnel stood before the entrance, but unlike usual, these two Operatives had also started slacking off.

After all, the number of their own country’s Operatives was now pitifully small.

The main forces of Xia Country had all gone to Bakshi and the Aerospace Base entrance to maintain order.

Leaving the two of them at Longbow Stream Valley was just a formality, in case a domestic Operative entered the classified Longbow Stream Valley and was on the verge of death, they would still need to provide emergency rescue.

Although that possibility was not high.

As for Dam Zero, it had long become a forbidden zone. The entrance was empty at this time, and no Operatives from any country would go there.

Seeing Liu Yan and his companions preparing to enter, Operatives from other countries showed playful expressions.

”I didn’t expect to find little lambs in Longbow Stream Valley.”

”Keep it down, don’t let him find out. Let him go in first.”

”I like these fair-skinned ones the most. Don’t rush to torture them later; it gets too messy with all the blood.”

Even though these people tried their best to keep their voices down, their words clearly fell into Liu Yan’s ears.

Looking at the people preparing to ambush him, Liu Yan’s expression was a bit strange.

”You two wait for me outside; I’m going in first.”

After saying that, Liu Yan stepped into the ordinary Longbow Stream Valley.

As soon as his front foot was in, several Foreign Operatives rushed in, one after another.

Not all Foreigners were like this; some just came to make money.

If they entered too slowly, it was possible they wouldn’t run into Liu Yan’s group.

Fuji watched the continuous stream of people entering the entrance and couldn’t help but click his tongue.

”Entering the Third District now is like going abroad; you can’t see a single Xia Country person.”

”That’s right, Brother Ji. Before, there were less than a hundred people in front of Longbow Stream Valley, all Xia Country Operatives.”

”Now there must be four or five hundred people, and you can’t even see the shadow of a Xia Country person.”

Fuji looked at the two Official personnel slacking off in front of the entrance, his expression somewhat helpless.

With such a small staff, if a riot broke out at the entrance, all they could do was shout a few times to stop fighting, which would be completely useless.

”It seems that the Third District is indeed not very safe right now.”

As the two were chatting, Liu Yan appeared out of thin air from an open space nearby, then immediately re-entered.

This repeated for an entire morning, and that group of Foreign Operatives never managed to encounter Liu Yan.

They simply entered anyway; being outside the operational area was the same.

It just lacked a lot of fun.

When Liu Yan revived from the open space for the 72nd time, that group of Foreign Operatives blocked his path.

”Kid, dare to play tricks on us?”

”Hmph, do you think you can hide by doing this?”

”Even if you don’t enter the operational area, if we want to do something, no one can save you!”

”I have to say, you’re quite bold. Even your country’s Authorities haven’t arranged any staff here, yet you still dare to come?”

As they spoke, dozens of Foreign Operatives surrounded Liu Yan.

Liu Yan didn’t even glance at them, raising his head and shouting into the distance:

”Zhao Chuang, come here.”
