MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1547: A New Era

”...Right.”

Hearing those words leave the Administrators’ mouths, both Valyr and Ataraxia were quickly reminded of why they were there in the first place, prompting them to nod in response as the two removed all distractions from their surroundings.

”Do we have to do anything special for the separation?” Watching Adam and Eve prepare for their eventual separation, Valyr decided to take the opportunity to ask them a question, partly due to the slight nervousness he felt towards the matter.

”Not really,” replied Eve whilst Adam continued to work on the preparations in the background. ”As long as you two stand where you currently are, that’s more than enough for the separation to continue.”

”...Though, I might suggest the two of you to close your eyes once the process begins.”

”Why?” asked Ataraxia in response.

”Let’s just say... the entire process will feel weird,” said Eve in return, only to realize soon after that her words could be easily misinterpreted. ”By weird, I mean it mentally rather than physically.”

”Okay...” Not really understanding why she took the initiative to correct herself although she didn’t say anything wrong, the two looked at each other one last time as they waited for the two Administrators to finish their preparations.

’So... this is farewell, huh?’ said Valyr through shared thoughts, letting out a slight chuckle after he was done. ’The time we’ve spent together is definitely something I’ll fondly remember.’

’You sure?’ replied Ataraxia, raising his eyebrow as he looked back at the young man. ’If not for the fact that we discovered [Soul Split] could be used that way during the tournament, we would’ve been stuck waiting around to accumulate enough time to use [Soul Shift].’

’Well, yeah... that part’s definitely shit, no lie about that.’ Valyr shrugged his shoulders. ’But... don’t you feel like you’d miss this close connection we have once we’re separated?’

’Well...’ As those words echoed in his mind, it was only then did Ataraxia give the entire thing a bit more thought, prompting him to look at his original identity with a slightly different gaze than usual.

In the end, the young man let out a faint chuckle at the idea of it all. ’Just because we’re separating doesn’t mean we’re sacrificing this connection we have. Adam and Eve definitely gave us [Soul Entanglement] for this reason.’

’Even if we’re separated, I’m still you, and you’re still me. Nothing can change that.’

’Plus, think about it from a wider perspective,’ he continued. ’With us being able to move around Veldanyr at the same time, wouldn’t we be able to do more things now in the same amount of time?’

’Wouldn’t we be able to achieve our final goal faster than ever before?’

’Well, if you put it that way...’ Feeling himself resonate with his other self’s words, Valyr faintly shook his head as he looked at Ataraxia with a slight smile.

Then, clenching one of his hands into a fist, he extend it towards his other self for a fist bump. ’Guess we’re about to enter a new era, then.’

’Totally,’ replied Ataraxia, returning the fist bump back to his original self.

”Ready?” After making sure that there were no problems with their preparations, the two Administrators went ahead and asked the duo if they could proceed with the separation.

In response, the two faintly nodded before closing their eyes, heeding Eve’s earlier suggestion in preparation for the separation process.

”Don’t worry, it’ll be over before you know it.” Saying those words as a final token of assurance, the two Administrators finally began the separation process, infusing a great amount of their energy into a set of magic circles they prepared beforehand.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Watching their energy be slowly transformed into an ethereal form of power, Adam looked at Eve for a bit, only to then nod as he continued to pump more of his energy into the circles.

With Adam continuing to supply the magic circles with energy, Eve went ahead and began to manipulate the ethereal power with her thoughts, allowing it to wrap around the two young men standing before them.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Allowing the ethereal power to solidify around Valyr and Ataraxia, Eve continued to keep calm as a steady flow of ethereal power continued to appear from the magic circles.

Eventually, the ethereal power surrounding the two took on a bright silver hue, prompting Adam to stop infusing energy as he aided Eve with the next step of the separation process.

”Impe... rium... mundi...”

Faintly muttering an archaic language connected to the nomological truths of the universe, the two proceeded to separate the combined identity they formed in the past back into the two identities they had before the intervention of the universe.

”Ad... infinis... sangui...”

Whoosh!

Keeping an eye all throughout the separation process, Adam and Eve watched as the two identities they meshed together gradually unfurled into the two Valyrs that stood before them some time ago.

”Corpus... imperium... maxima...!”

After making sure that they had fully untangled the two identities from one another, the two went ahead and infused the solidified ethereal power from before into their bodies, only to then allow the two identities to settle down in their respective bodies a couple of minutes later.

Fwoosh!

Although they felt a sense of relief at the fact that the separation process was successful, Adam and Eve still kept an eye on the two to see if they had done something wrong or missed a step during the process.

Fortunately, once the two young men finally came back to their senses, the Administrators were reassured that they hadn’t made a mistake whatsoever.

”That... was weird,” murmured Valyr, letting out a faint sigh as he slowly opened his eyes.

”I think I now understand why Eve told us to close our eyes,” said Ataraxia after that, slowly opening his eyes as well. ”The feeling of being mushed together then split apart is not really a good experience.”

”At the very least there wasn’t any pain during the process,” replied Valyr, to which the former nodded in agreement. ”If there was, I’m pretty sure we would have tapped out before the separation process was complete.”

”The separation process aside, how do we tell if we’re actually separated now?” asked the young man after that, looking at Adam and Eve for answers.

Adam gave the question a bit of thought. ”I guess you two can go try and do something that would’ve been difficult for the two of you to do before.”

”I guess.” Scratching the back of his head as he turned to look back at his other self, Valyr looked at Ataraxia in the eyes as a solemn expression appeared on his face.

Deciding to don a solemn expression as well, the latter returned the stare back at the young man, causing the room to become silent as Adam and Eve waited for the two to come to terms with their successful separation.

”If we’re really separated, then I’m sure we can pull this off at the same time,” said Valyr at some point, breaking the silence.

”On 3, then.” Getting an idea of what his original self wanted to do, Ataraxia faintly nodded as he got in a stance.

”3...”

”2...”

”1...”

Whoosh!

”...”

”...Did they...”

”...”

”...Did they just take their pants off... at the same time?”
