MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1506: Myriad Prodigies: All-out

”Kuh…!”

Biting his lip to the point it started to bleed, Valyr forced himself to remain composed under the might of Erikaʼs aura, activating all of the status buffs under his disposal before casting a barrier around him.

Whoosh!

Feeling the pressure assaulting them slightly decrease all of a sudden, the other four looked at their surroundings for a bit before giving Valyr a brief look of gratitude.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Raising their stats as high as possible with their own buffs, the four went ahead and did the same thing as the young man, overlapping their barriers on top of his in order to lessen the pressure Erikaʼs aura put on them.

”…Phew.” Sensing that the pressure she gave off was now tolerable, Valyr took the opportunity to compare the current Erika with the powered-up Vessel of Envy he had Vaughn defeat back at Riekanʼs clan estate.

ʼIʼm pretty sure the Vessel of Envy was also at the peak of Rank 7 at that time,ʼ muttered Valyr to himself inwardly, targeting Erika with [Superior Analysis] from afar.

ʼConsidering that the limit for this planet is the peak of Rank 7, why does Erika give off much more pressure than the Vessel of Envy? Is it because sheʼs a Lesser Sin?ʼ

Wanting to know the cause behind the overbearing pressure weighing down on them, the young man went ahead and took a look at the status screen that contained the Lesser Sinʼs stats.

…Only for his face to lose all color the moment he began reading through it.

”How in the fu—” Valyr blurted out all of a sudden, the gears in his mind turning on overdrive as he wondered how the five of them would be able to defeat such a powerful enemy.

Trying to remain composed even after seeing what they were up against, the young man let out a soft exhale as he turned to look at the others. ”Guys… I think you might wanna see this.”

”Hmm?” At those words, Lunarossa and the others looked back at him, only for their attention to be piqued by the screen he showed them a few seconds later.

Unsurprisingly, just like him, the four also immediately paled the moment they went through Erikaʼs stats, with each of them wondering to themselves how they were going to fight against such an entity.

”Got any tricks up your sleeves?” Taking some time to compose herself, Lunarossa looked at the four, her expression a mix of panic and desperation amidst the calm exterior.

”I donʼt,” said Julian with a shake of his head.

”Neither do I.” Liam and Eliathaea followed suit.

”How about you, Ylvar?” Not really expecting anything from the three from the get-go, Lunarossa faintly nodded at them before shifting her attention towards Valyr, her gaze slightly hopeful.

Yet, just like the other three, the young man slowly shook his head. ”As I said, if it was just a normal Myth-level being, I would have probably been able to handle it.”

”But her… fighting her in her current state would just lead me straight to death.”

At those words, Lunarossa remained silent for a bit, her expression pensive as the gears in her mind madly turned.

Thinking about all the solutions she could use to salvage the situation a little bit, the woman eventually let out a low exhale as her expression was replaced with determination.

”…Alright.”

Tightly grasping the sword that severed Erikaʼs neck earlier, Lunarossa took in a deep breath as the aura she gave off swiftly reached a higher threshold of power.

Whoosh!

In an instant, the slight pressure that was still weighing down on them immediately disappeared without a trace, causing the four of them to look at the director in disbelief as they quickly understood what was going on.

”…Can the four of you distract her while I try to attack?” Closing her eyes for a bit to acclimate to her current level of strength, Lunarossa soon looked back at the four, making a request to them.

Looking at each other for a bit, the four eventually nodded in unison, with Valyr speaking up for all of them.

”Weʼll try our best.”

”Good.” Nodding back in satisfaction, Lunarossa gazed at Erika as she slowly narrowed her eyes.

Then, without hesitation, she charged at the Lesser Sin, imbuing her blade with energy in the process.

”Haah…!”

Feeling a strong energy signature rapidly heading for her, Erika swiftly turned to look at who it was, only for her expression to turn slightly grim once she found out it was Lunarossa.

ʼThe director, huh?ʼ

ʼ…To think this is how our agreement would end.ʼ

Wondering if the entire tournament was set up this way to apprehend her from the start, she swiftly pushed all the nonsensical thoughts in her mind to the side as she conjured hundreds of crimson spears in an instant.

”[Blood Scarlet Rain].”

Swoosh!

Sending all of the spears towards Lunarossa, Erika had a solemn expression on her face as she watched the woman deflect the spears one by one.

Casting the skill yet again, a slight smirk of amusement soon crept up on her lips, confident that this battle would end with her ultimately succeeding in her goals.

Yet, just as another batch of her spears were about to hit Lunarossa once more…

”[Tempestuous Cataclysm]!”

”[Algerie Secret Art: Blossoms Enveloping Heavens]!”

”[Aegis of the Pyrrhia Forges]!”

”[Refined Mana Shield]!”

Using a mix of both offensive and defensive skills, Valyr and the others kept most of the spears around Lunarossa at bay, allowing the latter to inch a bit closer amidst the maelstrom of attacks surrounding her.

Finally recalling that the one charging at her was the one that severed her neck just moments earlier, Erika gritted her teeth and used [Blood Control] on her, ignoring the added cost that came with controlling a Myth-level being.

However, unlike Valyr, who was easily affected by it during the fight, Lunarossa resisted all her attempts at controlling her body.

With that, the woman was able to get close enough to land an upwards slash on Erika, putting all of her might into it in the process.

”[Meltierre-style Heavenly Sword Array: 7th Heavenly Sword].”

”[Upending Heaven and Earth].”
