Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 1457: Chapter 1456: You Aren’t Getting Scammed, Are You?

Unexpectedly, during the current meeting, Li Yan brought up this issue once again, making the situation slightly awkward.

Sheng Qingning thought for a moment and said, ”Electronic development certainly consumes some electronic products, which is necessary! The accounts might be a bit messy, but it’s normal for those in electronics who don’t know how to keep books.”

”We don’t require those in electronics to do the accounting, but when it involves so much money, there needs to be an accountant, at least don’t give me a confused account. These muddled accounts wouldn’t exist in any legitimate company, I really have no way to audit even a bit.”

Li Yan’s voice was calm as he said, ”So I plan to cancel cooperation with them. As for their financial deficit, I will report to the relevant department. We must investigate thoroughly and show no leniency to those who embezzle or misappropriate company funds.”

Sheng Qingning widened his eyes. He never expected Li Yan to be so decisive and said, ”General Manager, this is absolutely unacceptable. Without electronic development, we will fall behind other companies in the future and will definitely suffer losses.”

Wu Genmao seized the opportunity, readily agreeing with the proposal, saying, ”Exactly, exactly, the electronic industry is a major trend in the company’s development. We’ve put a lot of effort into this industry. Saying to stop is simple, but profiting is difficult. Without investment, there will be no returns, right?”

Someone else in the meeting room said, ”Exactly, if this project succeeds, our Li Group might climb another step. What a wonderful prospect that is, and we’re all looking forward to it.”

”Can’t stop, absolutely can’t stop, this project is of great importance, the company’s interests all rely on this project.”

Everyone was talking over each other, saying all kinds of things, as if whoever halted this industry would be a heinous criminal, and all the blame was placed on Li Yan.

Li Yan had anticipated this result long ago. This group of people were closely connected, none of whom were good people, their hearts filled only with schemes.

Unless they drain all the profits from the branch, they will never be satisfied.

Li Yan chuckled lightly and said, ”Since they can’t develop this project, I naturally don’t expect them to. Lately, while having leisure time, I’ve met a few capable people and discussed this matter with them. They all expressed that developing the electronic industry is not difficult and they can do it.”

”This...” Sheng Qingning never expected such an outcome, his eyes widening, and said, ”General Manager, you must have met frauds. Developing the electronic industry is particularly challenging, where do you find people who say they can do it just by saying it? Investment is ultimately needed.”

Wu Genmao also agreed with this view and said, ”Vice-President Sheng makes a valid point, development isn’t that simple. It requires gradual progression, the General Manager shouldn’t rush.”

”Really.” Li Yan’s lips curved with a slight contempt and said, ”However, I must say I’ve already made up my mind.”

The words fell like a thud, even Gong Qingwan felt uneasy, sensing there was something going on, but couldn’t quite explain what it was.

Li Yan’s firm stance seemed as if everything had already been decided, and this state plunged the entire meeting room into silence. Everyone stared at each other, not knowing what to do.

Sheng Qingning was helpless, and could only hint at Gong Qingwan to come up with an idea, but received a fierce glance from her.

If she could speak, then what use would Sheng Qingning, this useless person, be?
