Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 1456: Chapter 1455: Then Let’s Continue the Meeting

Originally smiling without speaking, Gong Qingwan finally spoke, ”I thought it was a big deal, turns out it was a mistake; let’s just continue the meeting then.”

With a single sentence, she attempted to dismiss this blunder and act as though it never happened. This was Gong Qingwan’s style; no matter what happens, she has the ability to forcibly make people forget everything.

Li Yan was not relentlessly pursuing it, but he also wasn’t being lenient and said, ”Such a thing can also be mistaken? My desk is the General Manager’s desk, handling the most important materials in the company. In the future, unless it’s something important, don’t randomly send stuff to me, lest I approve something carelessly, which would be a major problem!”

Those involved in this matter immediately had their faces fall; they understood well that Li Yan’s words were indirectly pointing blame, implying they harbored ill intentions.

Yet, even if that’s truly the case, what could be done? No one picked up the topic, pretending everything had been resolved.

Li Yan tapped twice on the table with one hand and said, ”The previous meetings have been extensive, does the Second Madam want to be briefed?”

Gong Qingwan never imagined Li Yan would directly address her as Second Madam. She couldn’t affirm nor deny it and said, ”You silly kid, focus on your meeting, leave me out of it.”

Li Yan said impassively, ”If this time you came to see me, how could I not involve you? But Second Madam, you’re with the head office, there are some things that should be reported to you.”

This commotion indeed left Gong Qingwan in a tight spot. If she claims she came to see him, she can’t join in the discussion later; but if she says she’s not part of the head office, it wouldn’t be suitable.

”I’m just a spectator, here to watch the Eldest Young Master’s meeting. If there’s truly something that requires me, call upon me, but not sooner, I’ll happily take a break.”

Gong Qingwan’s words were truly grandiose, like she’s seizing the chance to relax amidst busyness, fearing Li Yan would drag her into the meeting.

But in reality, it’s not like that at all, merely spoken eloquently.

Li Yan understood her thoughts, not minding to indulge her, said, ”Well, in that case, let’s continue the meeting!”

”Alright!” Everyone agreed one after another, all eyes falling on Li Yan as though waiting for him to steer the situation.

Li Yan’s voice was calm and unhurried, ”A few days ago, we discussed the matter of electronic products; I meticulously examined the accounts for electronic development and discovered a muddle of numbers. If we continue letting these people develop electronic products, I fear the company’s deficit will only increase.”

Sheng Qingning furrowed his brow, feeling a bit troubled, said, ”But General Manager, electronic development ultimately must continue; nowadays technology is the trend, and our Li Group cannot afford to fall behind...”

Li Yan raised his eyebrow and said, ”So, to develop electronic industries, you’d rather sell off valuable land than stop the work of these deceitful people.”

”This...” Regarding the company’s accounting issues, Li Yan had already brought it up some time ago; Sheng Qingning was aware, yet hadn’t taken it seriously.
