Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 864: Chapter 863: Let Grandpa Find Out for Himself Later

’Tick-tock, tick-tock--’

The hour hand moved, stopping at the half-hour mark.

The class was already halfway through.

Gu Tong finally stood up and leisurely walked over to Sheng Yiweng.

She glanced at Sheng Yiweng’s hand movements and said, ”Be mindful of where you cut. If you draw lines, avoid the blood vessels, so you need to be steady!”

”Got it.” Sheng Yiweng grasped the concept quickly, and his movements changed, focusing more on being steady.

”You didn’t choose this elective entirely because of me, did you?”

Gu Tong picked up a piece of equipment from the tray, squeezed it casually, and then tossed it back.

Sheng Yiweng raised the scalpel and said, ”Why do you ask that, Teacher?”

”Because of the order of things.”

”Order?” Sheng Yiweng raised an eyebrow.

”I’m indeed a student of the Royal Medical College, but I’m not some celebrity!”

In other words, if you want to know everything about Gu Tong, there must be a reason.

For instance, because of something, he learned about the Royal Medical College, and then, he learned about Gu Tong.

Just as in every industry, there are always some exceptional people who are admired by the younger generation, but it’s all because the younger generation loves the industry.

”Teacher, you’re truly clever.” Sheng Yiweng put down the scalpel and smiled, ”My family has been doctors for generations. My grandfather was also a Royal Doctor, not on the battlefield, but he admired it greatly. When I was young, he used to tell me stories about Mr. Baili to lull me to sleep.”

”You grew fond of it by hearing and seeing?”

”Kind of halfway.” Sheng Yiweng flashed his pearly whites and said, ”I always felt that whatever my grandfather could do, I could do, and what my grandfather couldn’t do, I could also do.”

”The waves of the Yangtze River push forward, leaving my grandfather on the sandy beach. In the future, when he plays chess with his old comrades, he’ll have something to brag about, isn’t that great?”

Gu Tong: ”...”

Just listening to that last part, you’d think you’re very filial...

But leaving grandpa on the beach, what’s that all about...

Are you sure your grandpa would be happy...

”As for admiring the teacher, that’s because I think the teacher is someone who can create legends, so I want to be beside the teacher. Surely, there will be others’ names next to the legend!”

Sheng Yiweng picked up the scalpel again and started cutting the props, but his words were mixed with a strong sense of sincerity.

”...” This kid, still so arrogant...

Arrogant in exactly the same way as Gu Tong.

The surgical skills aren’t learned well, but the bad habits are picked up fast...

”By the way, you mentioned your grandfather was also a Royal Doctor?”

Gu Tong suddenly remembered this and decided to confirm it again.

She frowned slightly. Could it be such a coincidence...

”My grandfather’s name is Sheng Guoli. Teacher should know him~”

Sheng Yiweng showed his bright smile again, recalling when Grandpa used to complain at home about Old Xue stealing people with unfair tactics.

”...” Damn...

Could it be more of a coincidence...

Gu Tong held her forehead and said, ”Your grandpa doesn’t know you’re my student, right?”

”Not yet.” Sheng Yiweng wasn’t one to babble, nor did he want to cause trouble for the teacher, so he didn’t mention it much to his grandpa.

Moreover, no blame to the unknowingly ignorant.

Let Grandpa find out himself later.

”That’s good.”

Gu Tong patted Sheng Yiweng on the shoulder, fully displaying an expression of ’you have great potential’.
