Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

The pile of dry wood was stacked like a mountain, with flames burning on top, releasing thick smoke.

Yuan Jianlan fanned the smoke and coughed, ”Is this really going to work?” She felt somewhat uncertain in her heart.

”We’ve been hiding for two days! Under normal circumstances, there are at most two squads left in the battlefield, so revealing our position now is most appropriate,” Gu Tong analyzed.

”Why?” Yuan Jianlan was a bit puzzled, but her hand didn’t stop moving.

”If it’s down to the last group, they’ll definitely want to compete for first place, so they’ll come for sure. If there are two groups left, they’ll surely compete for a higher ranking, so either way, they’ll come,” Gu Tong explained with deep understanding. After all, her family came from a Trainee background. Sometimes, just for a little achievement, they would go all out. At such moments, there is no reason to retreat.

”That makes sense, cough cough, but this smoke is really suffocating...”

To attract attention, the firewood must burn more. Presumably, as long as someone sees this thick smoke, they will definitely come over.

After all, the distance is not far, and the signal point can be discovered quickly.

”Alright, stop fanning.” Seeing the fire was just about right, Gu Tong shouted, ”Everyone hide! Prepare for the ambush!”

”Okay!”

Everyone quickly responded and then hid in the previously discussed positions.

...

In the grass, Fang Liqiang and Shang Qimin hid in a location that was ideal for assault and shooting, and also relatively concealed.

Shang Qimin took out the laser and loaded it, showing a difficult expression, ”Liqiang, do you really trust Gu Tong?”

During these days, Geng Yifan had been following Fang Liqiang closely, so he hadn’t had a chance to speak. Now that he found an opportunity, he wouldn’t miss it.

”Why not trust her?” Fang Liqiang asked in confusion, ”We’ve made it into the top three, and there’s still a chance to get a higher ranking. Isn’t that all thanks to Gu Tong?”

”But after all, she’s a woman and still a parachuted Trainee. We’ve been led around in circles by her, isn’t it...”

Fang Liqiang interrupted him, ”What’s wrong with being a woman? Women can lead Trainees into battle too. Besides, Gu Tong isn’t the captain, everything was discussed with us, there’s nothing wrong with that.”

Although he was somewhat foolish, he had eyes and had seen everything Gu Tong had done during these days, and found nothing to fault.

There was nothing problematic, but Shang Qimin still looked down on her, and it was deep-seated, leaving him at a loss, unable to find a reason.

Shang Qimin tightly gripped his device, forced a smile, and said, ”What you’re saying makes sense!”

Fang Liqiang, seeing that he had convinced him, sighed in relief, ”It’s good that you think so. Captain Geng said, Gu Tong is a rare talent, following her can’t be wrong!”

”Yes! Captain Geng is truly perceptive!”

Geng Yifan, again! He had been walking closely with Fang Liqiang lately, which seemed suspicious. As he suspected, Geng Yifan had brainwashed Fang Liqiang.

Though Fang Liqiang was foolish, he was persistent. As long as you persuaded him completely, he was a double-edged sword! Able to solve many problems!

Geng Yifan noticed this, so he acted first, directly disarming one of Shang Qimin’s arms, completely unguarded!
