Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Dusk arrived unannounced. After dinner, all the new recruits hurried to restore their strength. They knew in their hearts that more severe tests were yet to come, and none of them dared to let down their guard.

Gu Tong leaned against the edge of the tent, never leaving her weapon, always ready for battle. She lifted a corner of the curtain and glanced outside the tent.

She quickly let the curtain fall, but her pupils contracted slightly.

’Bang bang bang――――’ The sound of the silenced weapons was dull, yet highly recognizable.

”What’s going on!”

Everyone reacted almost simultaneously and rushed out of the tent, but before they could steady themselves, they were immediately targeted by the special forces trainees’ weapons.

’Bang bang bang――――’ The electromagnetic waves used in the exercise were without warheads, and even at close range, they wouldn’t cause any fatalities. Being hit by the electromagnetic wave only caused a slight tingling sensation, but then again, being hit meant the terrifying prospect of being eliminated.

Many new recruits didn’t react in time and were directly hit by the electromagnetic waves, losing their qualification to continue fighting.

”What should we do...” Yuan Jianlan was a bit nervous, almost lying down beside Gu Tong at the same time.

They dared not stand up; otherwise, their shadows would cast on the tent. If the special forces trainees noticed, they would rush in, and they would be defeated as well.

”Stay down!”

Given the special circumstances, Gu Tong made a choice based on instinct.

There were many trainees in the New Student Camp, and unless an entire troop was sent, they couldn’t be completely wiped out. As long as they stayed hidden for the time being, they could avoid this storm.

Many special forces trainees had the same thought, and after a while, the weapon sounds stopped.

...

”Captain, they’re all hiding.” A special forces trainee in a camouflage suit fiddled with his weapon and smiled, ”Should we do a search?”

Apparently, all the trainees of the New Student Camp were hiding in the tents, hoping to play turtle.

They had made such foolish moves back in their day too.

”Search!”

Once the search began, the new recruits surely had nowhere to escape.

In such a small place, catching people would be an easy task.

It would be better to charge out together, concentrate their firepower, and maybe take down one or two enemies.

Rookies are rookies, still too naive.

...

”They’re going to search...” Yuan Jianlan covered her mouth.

For the newly inducted special forces members, this was a bolt from the blue. They knew they had nowhere to hide, like lambs waiting to be slaughtered. Some had even given up struggling, figuring they would be eliminated sooner or later.

Gu Tong furrowed her brows deeply, lost in thought.

She knew that breaking through the encirclement might be the best option now, but with just the three of them, it seemed far too weak.

However, the trainees from the Academy were scattered in different tents, making it impossible to contact each other.

Let alone break through the encirclement together!

”There’s no time...”

The special forces trainees began to search the other tents in all directions. Though they hadn’t reached them yet, it was only a matter of time!

Gu Tong pressed her lips together but never stopped thinking. Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she said, ”Set up the Remote Electromagnetic Device!”

What was happening...

Yuan Jianlan and Yang Yun were completely stunned, looking at Gu Tong in confusion.

Was she not fully awake? Daydreaming?

Did she want to rely on a Remote Electromagnetic Device to fight the special forces?

Did she really think of herself as the Divine Artifact Hand...

”Time is pressing, there’s no time to explain!”

The situation was critical, and this was the last chance left.

Gu Tong clearly understood the urgency of the situation and said sternly, ”Trust me!”
