I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

Chapter 580: A Guest Hidden for Fifteen Years ( Castle Bonus Chapter )

The discussion continued for several minutes, and different theories were brought up.

Unknown gates, cooperation between some humans and the natives of the Heavenly Realm.

There was even the possibility that the Silver Elves had a type of treasure that allowed them to travel between worlds, exactly like the other native the Federation had recently discovered and imprisoned, who also possessed such a treasure, the Mad Scientist.

However, none of these theories had enough evidence to support them.

Lian listened quietly the entire time, but after a while, he slightly raised his right hand.

”Can I share my guess too?”

Several people turned to look at him, and one of the Blackthorn elders frowned. One of the guild representatives also seemed ready to say that this discussion was no place for young people.

But before anyone could speak,

”Go ahead.”

It was Kairos.

At almost the same time, Rhaenar also nodded.

Lian looked at the two Celestials for a moment.

Well.

Since these two had given him permission, probably no one else would object.

He stood up.

Seris gave him a brief glance as he faced the group.

”I think this matter is related to the Primal Firmament.”

The atmosphere in the hall became heavy again, and several members of the Primal Firmament delegation sat up straighter almost at the same time.

Severin frowned, and even Kairos narrowed his eyes slightly.

The young Vorhelm noticed their reactions and continued before anyone could object.

”Relax, I’m not saying you were behind the attacks, I’m talking about the Thousand-Faced Mirror.”

Kairos watched him for a few seconds.

”Go on.”

Lian nodded.

”The Thousand-Faced Mirror was brought to Earth fifteen years ago, right?”

”That’s right.”

One of the Primal Firmament members added,

”Of course, the artifact itself is much older. It was discovered in the Heavenly Realm more than sixty years ago, but we brought it to Earth fifteen years ago.”

Lian nodded. This was exactly what he needed.

”And the original artifact belonged to the Silver Elves.”

”As far as our records show, yes.” Severin remained silent for a few seconds before answering.

The young Vorhelm looked around at the people present.

”Then perhaps the answer entered our world fifteen years ago.”

Murmurs spread among the representatives, and one of the Federation members leaned forward slightly.

”What do you mean?”

Lian pointed at the image of the seed.

”What we saw yesterday wasn’t the real body of an Elf, it was a mana structure controlled from a distance, something like a clone, but not exactly, to be more precise, it was a puppet.”

Then he looked at Kairos.

”Now, imagine that something was hidden inside the Thousand-Faced Mirror when it was brought here.”

Severin frowned.

”Something like what?”

”A dormant pattern, not a living creature, but something that didn’t release any unusual energy of its own and was simply waiting for the right conditions.”

One of the Federation members remained silent for a moment before speaking under his breath.

”Then ordinary inspections might not have detected it at all.”

Lian nodded.

”Exactly.”

He then explained that such a structure could have activated after being brought to Earth, using some kind of special system or even the energy stored inside the mirror itself.

If the Silver Elves’ technology was really this advanced, perhaps a reflection of an Elf’s consciousness could have moved through the human world by using tools, connected networks, and different communication channels.

Of course, it wouldn’t have been a real body, but a structure that used the energy and information around it to recreate its presence each time.

He placed his hand on the table.

”Fifteen years is a very long time.”

”It’s more than enough time to learn about the families, their old conflicts, their political relationships, their resources, and even the personalities of the people who control the most powerful forces in the world.”

His gaze moved between the different seats.

”Imagine if someone had planned from the beginning to turn Earth’s powerful forces against each other one day.”

He paused.

”They would have had fifteen years to learn which family hated which other family, which guild had problems with whom, and how each of them would react when threatened.”

Lian then brought up the events of yesterday, the murder of a Valemont member, the accusation against Stormheart, followed by the second attack and the accusation against Vorhelm.

After that, the accusations had turned toward the Thousand-Faced Mirror and the Primal Firmament.

”None of our reactions were unusual, and that’s exactly what made this dangerous.”

”The person behind this plan didn’t need to control our decisions, they only needed to know what we would usually do when put under pressure.”

For a few seconds, heavy silence filled the hall.

”So perhaps that reflection had been active in our world for fifteen years, gathering information. Maybe it had also been in contact with the Silver Elves in the Heavenly Realm and was being controlled remotely like a puppet.”

His gaze briefly fell on the image of the seed.

”Then it waited for the best opportunity.”

The Pendragon Ceremony, the day when almost all the most powerful forces in the world had gathered in one city.

What better opportunity could there be?

Kairos had listened quietly the entire time. Now, he leaned back in his chair.

”So, in your opinion, they spent fifteen years preparing this plan just to turn us against each other?”

Lian said nothing for a moment. The answer was both yes and no, because turning them against each other was not their only plan.

Their main goal wasn’t simply to start a conflict between the Six Great Families and the Twelve Ancient Guilds. The Silver Elves had also tried to release a Demon-rank creature.

A creature that could destroy a large part of Europe, but he didn’t want to reveal that secret.

Lian briefly glanced at Rhaenar, who remained calmly seated.

He turned back to Kairos.

”Turning Earth’s powerful forces against each other was definitely one of their goals, they might have other goals as well, we still don’t know everything.”

The statement was correct on the surface, but it wasn’t the whole truth.

Kairos watched him for a few seconds before slowly nodding. Apparently, he had no intention of continuing the discussion for now.

Meanwhile, several Federation members were thinking hard about what they had heard.

Because if Lian’s theory was correct, a foreign being had been present in their world for fifteen years.

It had spent fifteen years gathering information, and it might even have sent some of Earth’s sensitive information to the Heavenly Realm.

This was no longer just a matter of two murders, it was a security threat on a global scale.

One of the Overlords present placed his hand on the table.

”We can’t just leave this matter alone.”

Several people looked at him, and the man continued.

”They managed to carry out an operation like this inside our world today, what about tomorrow? They might target another city, or one of the Federation’s main facilities.”

Adrian Stormheart nodded.

”If they really found a way to infiltrate our world like this, we need to stop them before they use it again.”

Gregor Valemont also didn’t object this time. He had still lost one of his family’s members.

And now, at least he knew that the real enemy was probably outside the circle of the great families.

Isolde joined the discussion from her seat.

”What do you think about a joint operation against the Silver Elves’ bases?”

Several people looked at her for a moment. This was no small proposal.

Entering the territory of a native race and attacking its facilities could have major political and military consequences.

But the Matriarch continued.

”Not a blind attack.”

Her gaze moved across the guild representatives.

”First, we’ll find the origin of the seed and identify the group that created it or directed the operation. Then the forces stationed in the Heavenly Realm will carry out a joint operation against those same facilities, this can serve as a warning to them.”

This proposal was more reasonable.

Even the Primal Firmament couldn’t easily oppose it.

If the method of infiltration had really come from the Heavenly Realm, leaving it unanswered would only make the enemy bolder.

The discussion continued for a while, covering the number of forces, the information they needed, the area of the operation, and how none of the powers should take advantage of this situation to seize more resources or territory.

In the end, they reached an initial agreement.

A joint team of specialists and forces stationed in the Heavenly Realm would be formed to investigate the matter and prepare for the operation.

Lian found this interesting. Yesterday, these same people had almost gone to war over the two attacks.

Now, they were talking about a joint operation.

And the main reason for this change was the small seed he had taken from the heart of the prison.

When the main part of the meeting ended, Kairos stood up and fixed his gaze on him.

”Lian Vorhelm.”

”Yes?”

The Celestial examined him for a few seconds before speaking.

”I owe you my thanks.”

Several people in the hall stopped moving for a moment.

A Celestial.

And one from the Primal Firmament at that.

He was thanking a young man who had only recently completed his First Evolution.

”If you hadn’t found that seed, we would probably be dealing with something very different right now instead of holding this meeting.”

”I only did what needed to be done.” Lian gave him a slight smile.

Kairos laughed briefly.

”Good.” Then his gaze moved toward the Vorhelm seats.

”I heard that your relationship with your own family isn’t very good.”

The expressions of several members of the Vorhelm delegation immediately changed. Cassius, who was seated in the family’s official section, looked more serious.

But he said nothing.

Kairos looked back at Lian.

”If you ever decide to separate your path from your family, the Primal Firmament could be a good place for you.”
