I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

Lian did not give her much time to react, and his left hand came down.

Corrupted Sun responded, and the world changed for a moment, light was no longer only something that illuminated the field.

It had paths, it had reflections, and millions of lines of light that reflected and bounced between different objects appeared in his eyes.

Each of these lines could be a path.

He only chose one, and a very small amount of Eclipse energy entered it.

He chose a line of light that reflected toward three other crescents and had a path, the Eclipse energy moved along that line and corrupted all three crescents.

Tss!

Black light passed through the first crescent, then the second and the third, all three stayed in their places for a moment, and then their edges began to wear away.

And then they fell apart, and the three crescent-shaped blades collapsed almost at the same time.

Seris moved backward, she did not lower her sword, but she did not attack either, her eyes were only focused on the man in front of her, and she was analyzing what had happened.

Her crescent-shaped blades were made so they could destroy anything, change their direction in the middle of their movement, and even leave echoes of themselves behind and make a surprise attack at the right moment.

According to the tests she had done, none of the four elements could disable or stop her crescents.

And those crescent-shaped blades became stronger with every passing moment, and if the moon was in the sky, all of her attacks became up to 300% stronger.

And the moon-shaped shadow that had appeared behind her also became stronger with every passing moment, and every time its color became more complete, until it completely became a moon, it increased her stats by 25% each time, and when it became a complete moon, by 100%.

Of course, the increase of all these things was temporary, and she could not keep it for a long time.

But with all of this, Lian had been able to defend against her attacks so easily and even make the crescents collapse? How?

Neither of them spoke for a few seconds.

Lian did not explain, there was no need, Seris was already analyzing what she had seen herself.

”What was that thing that disabled my crescents?”

”Its name is Eclipse energy.” He answered simply.

”Eclipse energy? You got it after your Evolution?” Seris thought for a moment and asked.

”Kind of, what about you? What exactly is that moon-shaped shadow behind you?”

”Moon Manifestation.”

”I see, but I doubt you have shown all of its power.”

This time, the girl answered and looked at him for a few more seconds, then raised her sword.

Lian understood that she had not only refused to give up, on the contrary, she now wanted to continue even more.

He had no problem with that, maybe from the outside, the fact that they had suddenly started a training duel at the moment they met looked stupid.

But in truth, he could understand that Seris was only communicating through this, she was excited to show her progress to the only person she recognized as a rival and, more importantly, as a friend.

How many other people were there in this world that Young Pendragon would actually want to spend even a moment with? Probably no one, or maybe only Aurelia.

This girl had come out after a month of isolation, and instead of going to anyone else, she had come directly to him and wanted to show him her progress.

The moon-shaped shadow behind Seris suddenly released more light, and ten crescents formed around her.

Lian moved his eyes across them, she no longer intended to test him step by step, and Mana came out of her body with greater force.

The moon behind her expanded, and the empty part of it began to fill.

Almost three-quarters of it had become fully colored, in other words, it was giving her a 75% boost to her stats.

But the field was no longer the same field it had been a few minutes ago.

Ten moon blades were floating around Lian, some above, some near the ground, and some behind the ice walls he had created.

And more importantly, the echoes were also there, and her own main attack was there too, the problem was that every one of these attacks was a smart and controllable attack.

If they were like skills where only a hundred blades were created and attacked directly, there would be no problem, a strong defense would be enough to finish it.

But every one of these attacks that surrounded him was like a smart attack.

Seris lowered her sword, and all the crescents moved.

Lian moved as well, the first blade came down from above, but he easily dodged it, the second moved directly toward him, but he easily broke it apart with his fist.

The third came from behind, but ice rose from the ground and the crescent was forced to change its path.

Seris entered between two crescents, and her sword came down toward him.

He caught it, but at that moment, an echo attack appeared from the left.

His body turned and he dodged it, but at the same moment, another crescent moved toward him.

This time, Lian gathered Eclipse energy in the palm of his hand, and with only a short touch, the crescent fell apart.

But the next blade had been hidden behind it, and the moment it collapsed, the next one came toward him.

Slash!

The silver edge passed through the sleeve of his clothes and the fabric was cut open, but the blade stopped right there and could not go any further, it did not have enough power to penetrate his skin.

Even though the attacks had no real result, the girl’s eyes showed a very small amount of satisfaction for a moment, at least one of her attacks had finally reached him.

”Happy?”

”A little.”

It was honest, and it made him laugh.

”Then let’s finish this.”

Seris’s expression changed, the moon behind her was almost complete.

And at that moment, as he felt the pressure of the battlefield increasing, twelve more crescent-shaped blades appeared around her.

Silver light filled the field, and she held her sword with both hands.

For a few seconds, nothing moved....then they all came down together.

Even Lian decided not to simply walk between them this time.

Gray lightning burned around his legs.

[ Ashen Thunder Step ]

Crack!

The sound of the air breaking spread across the field, the stone under his foot cracked, and his body disappeared from its previous position.

The first crescent hit the ground, and the second passed through the remaining shadow, the third and fourth changed their paths to chase him, but it was too late.

Young Vorhelm had already moved between them...

Seris moved her gaze quickly, something that no one knew and that it was unlikely anyone would notice was that each of those crescent-shaped blades worked like an eye and an ear for her.

Through them, she could see the entire battlefield and have complete control over it, and something like a three-dimensional map of the whole place where they were fighting was now in her field of vision.

She found Lian, on the left, and at the same moment, she turned her sword, and three crescents changed their paths and sent themselves toward him.

Lian disappeared again, and this time, he appeared close, far too close to her.

Seris did not move backward and attacked directly with all the pure power she had.

He passed beside the blade, his left hand rested on the back of her sword for a moment and pushed its path downward.

The fist of his right hand came up, but the girl was not finished yet, and the five remaining crescents returned from behind Lian.

Lian sensed them.

Seris also knew that he had sensed them, but neither of them stopped their movements, and a moment later, his fist stopped beside her neck.

At the same time, five silver crescents stopped several meters behind him.

Not because they had stopped themselves, but because Seris had ordered them to.

Silence filled the entire place.

The moon behind Young Pendragon shone for a few seconds, and then slowly cracked and turned into thousands of silver particles.

She took a deep breath, breathing a little faster than normal.

Lian also lowered his fist.

Seris first looked at the sword, then at the torn sleeve of his clothes, and finally at his face.

”At least I forced you to use a skill.”

”Well, if I didn’t use it, I would have to buy new clothes, and honestly, I don’t like shopping.”

”You’re a bad liar.” She snorted.

”You lost and you’re still complaining.”

”That’s right, I lost.” Seris put her sword into the training sheath and nodded, this time her tone was neither upset nor disappointed.

Instead, she was simply stating the result.

Even so, at least in this duel, both of them had been able to learn many things about each other, Lian had seen part of her Evolution, and Seris had seen part of his Evolution.
