Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Full Cultivation - First Hour

Orion settled into the technique. Let it run. Stopped trying to control every detail and just maintained the overall flow.

Solar energy poured in through his skin and lungs. The channels vibrated at perfect frequencies. Conversion happened automatically. Exotic energy flooded his system.

The ring halo compressed most of it. Growing steadily. The golden structure becoming more complete with every passing second.

The cellular circulation refined the rest. Strengthening every part of his body continuously.

Passive cultivation activated. Even though he was meditating—actively focusing—the technique would continue running in the background once established. He could walk around. Work on designs. Sleep. And his body would keep absorbing energy. Keep cultivating. Keep getting stronger.

The sun moved across the sky. Orion remained motionless on the grass.

One hour became two.

His body temperature rose. Not dangerously, but noticeably. Processing this much energy created heat as a byproduct. Sweat formed on his skin. Evaporated in the afternoon sun.

His heart rate slowed. Each beat more powerful. More efficient. The ring halo optimizing his cardiovascular system.

His breathing deepened. Each breath pulling in more air. The internal pathways extracting more energy.

Two hours became three.

The ring halo continued growing. Fifteen percent... sixteen percent... seventeen percent. Progress that would have taken weeks happening in hours.

His cells kept strengthening. The circulation never stopped. Energy flowing in. Refining. Flowing out. Flowing back in different places. Constant enhancement.

Three hours became four.

NOON - PEAK SOLAR ENERGY

The sun reached its zenith. Directly overhead. Maximum radiation. Maximum energy output.

Orion’s absorption rate spiked.

The channels vibrated faster. Converted more energy. The exotic energy flow increased dramatically.

His ring halo growth accelerated. Seventeen percent... eighteen percent... nineteen percent.

The cellular circulation intensified. Energy flooding through his muscles. His bones. His organs. His brain. The strengthening effect becoming visible even from outside.

His skin took on a faint golden glow. Barely perceptible, but there. Reflected sunlight mixed with the exotic energy circulating just beneath his surface.

His muscles became more defined. Not larger—denser. Every fiber packing more strength into the same volume.

Orion could feel his senses sharpening. Vision becoming clearer even with his eyes closed. Hearing picking up sounds from farther away. Smell detecting subtle scents on the breeze.

His psychic sense expanded. The range pushing outward. One point five kilometers... one point six... one point seven.

His connection to the Sun intensified. He could feel the fusion reactions in the core. The energy generation. The radiation output. Like touching a star from a hundred and fifty million kilometers away.

The connection was stronger than it had ever been. Crystal clear. Perfect.

And Orion realized something.

This was the perfect moment.

SUN CORE COMPLETION

”The Sun visualization,” Orion murmured. ”I can complete it now.”

His mind was already connected to the Sun through cultivation. The stellar energy flowing into his body. The fusion processes clear in his awareness.

He’d visualized the Sun’s core two days ago. The central sphere where hydrogen fused into helium. Where temperatures reached fifteen million Kelvin. Where nuclear reactions generated the star’s power.

But he hadn’t completed the full Sun yet. Just the core. The first layer.

Now, with peak solar connection active, he could finish it.

Orion shifted part of his attention inward. Into his mind cultivation space. The infinite void where Earth floated—a perfect sphere rotating slowly. Where the Moon orbited nearby, detailed down to every crater. Where the Sun’s blazing core hung like a miniature star.

He focused on the Sun’s core. Felt it. Connected with it through his active cultivation.

Then he began expanding it.

The radiative zone came first. The layer surrounding the core. Where energy from fusion reactions slowly worked outward. Photons scattering. Being absorbed and re-emitted countless times. Taking thousands of years to travel from core to surface.

Orion visualized it in perfect detail. The temperature gradient. The density. The radiation pressure. The slow photon diffusion. Every aspect modeled accurately.

The radiative zone materialized around the core. A thick shell of dense plasma. Energy crawling through it. The Sun growing larger in his mindspace.

Then the convective zone. Where the plasma was cool enough for convection to occur. Hot material rising. Cool material sinking. Giant circulation patterns carrying energy toward the surface.

He visualized the convection cells. The turbulent flows. The magnetic fields generated by moving charged particles. The complexity emerging from fluid dynamics.

The convective zone formed. The Sun grew larger still.

Then the photosphere. The visible surface. Where photons finally escaped into space after their long journey from the core. The temperature dropping to a mere 5,800 Kelvin.

Orion visualized sunspots. Granulation. The texture of the solar surface. Bright regions where hot plasma rose. Dark regions where cooler plasma sank.

The photosphere appeared. Golden and brilliant. The Sun’s face.

Then the chromosphere. The lower atmosphere. Thin. Hot. Glowing pink during eclipses.

Then the corona. The outer atmosphere. Impossibly hot—millions of Kelvin despite being farther from the core. Extending millions of kilometers into space. Visible as a white halo during total eclipses.

Orion visualized it all. The magnetic field lines. The solar wind streaming outward. The coronal mass ejections. The incredible violence and beauty of the Sun’s outer layers.

The corona materialized. Wisps of plasma extending into the void.

And the Sun was complete.

The full visualization hung in his mindspace. A perfect miniature star. Every layer accurate. Every process modeled correctly. From the fusion core to the extended corona. The complete Sun floating beside Earth and Moon.

The moment it finished—the instant the last detail locked into place—something extraordinary happened.

TRANSFORMATION

Brilliance exploded through Orion’s mind.

His consciousness expanded violently. The mindspace brightening from infinite void to blazing illumination. The Sun—now complete—radiating not just light but understanding. Clarity. Comprehension.

His soul space transformed. Where before it had been dark with three glowing objects, now it was radiant. The Sun’s light filling everything. Chasing away shadows he hadn’t known existed.

His mind became clearer than it had ever been. Thoughts flowed at incredible speed. Perfect logic. Perfect memory. Perfect understanding.

Processing capability tripled instantly. What would have taken minutes to think through now took seconds. Complex problems became simple. Difficult concepts became obvious.

Comprehension ability increased by an order of magnitude. He could grasp principles faster. See connections between disparate ideas. Understand the implications of knowledge almost as soon as he encountered it.

Sensitivity expanded dramatically. He could perceive subtle details he’d missed before. Feel minute changes in his body. Sense energy patterns with incredible precision.

It was like being blind his entire life and suddenly gaining sight. Like living in a fog and stepping into crystal clarity. Like hearing muffled sounds and suddenly experiencing perfect acoustics.

”I was blind,” Orion whispered. ”I thought I understood. But I was blind.”

Now he could truly see.

The knowledge he’d absorbed in the system library—all the Tier 1 and Tier 2 technologies—suddenly made more sense. Connections he hadn’t noticed before became obvious. Implications he’d missed revealed themselves.

His cultivation technique—the Infinite Circulation Method—could be optimized further. He saw three immediate improvements just from the enhanced comprehension.

His understanding of exotic energy deepened. The physics became clearer. The mechanisms more transparent.

Everything was clearer. Everything made more sense. Everything was better.

Orion opened his eyes slowly. Back in the garden. Still sitting in lotus position. The physical world unchanged.

But he had changed. Fundamentally. The Sun core completion had transformed his mind in ways the Earth and Moon visualizations hadn’t.

”The Sun is different,” he realized. ”Earth and Moon gave me stability and connection. But the Sun gives me clarity and power.”

His mind felt limitless now. Like he could learn anything. Understand anything. Create anything.

Four hours became five. Five became six.

AFTERNOON - CONTINUED CULTIVATION

Orion cultivated through the afternoon with his newly enhanced mind. The sun began its descent. Moving from directly overhead toward the western horizon.

The solar energy decreased slightly. But still far more than atmospheric extraction had ever provided.

His ring halo kept growing. Nineteen percent... twenty percent... twenty-one percent.

The cellular circulation maintained its pace. Constant refinement. Constant strengthening.

His enhanced brain processed everything faster. Optimized the energy flows in real-time. Made micro-adjustments to the technique. Each change improving efficiency slightly.

Six hours became seven. Seven became eight.

2:30 PM - EIGHT HOURS TOTAL

Orion finally stopped.

Not because he was tired physically. His body felt energized. Powerful. Ready to continue for hours more.

But his mind—despite the enhancement—felt pleasantly exhausted. Eight hours of deep meditation. Of maintaining perfect focus. Of guiding energy flows and monitoring body changes. That required spiritual energy. Mental stamina.

And he’d depleted both.

Time to stop. Rest. Let his mind recover.

Orion slowly withdrew his focus from the cultivation. Let the energy flows settle. The absorption continued at a lower level—passive cultivation activating automatically—but the intense active meditation ended.

He opened his eyes.

The sun was lower in the sky. Still afternoon, but late afternoon. Shadows stretching across the garden. The light taking on a golden quality.

Orion took a deep breath. Felt the air fill his lungs. Felt the internal pathways pull trace energy from it even now. The technique running in the background without conscious effort.

Perfect.

He stood up slowly. His body responded instantly. Smoothly. Power contained in every movement.
