Elderly Prince: My Spirit Increases by 1 Point Daily

Chapter 144: Chapter 143: Sword Control Skill

Even with his Super Grade Perfection cultivation, several protective Spiritual Artifacts and Spiritual Objects, and the Cultivation Techniques, Battle Skills, and Secret Techniques he had painstakingly honed for a hundred years, Xia Wuyang was still no match for Emperor Xia.

Even with his Extraordinary Level Spiritual Power, he couldn’t control Emperor Xia, who clearly possessed a Spiritual Object that could defend against it.

If he acted rashly, he would likely fail to control the Emperor and might even end up trapped himself.

’I’ll need to approach this with a long-term strategy!’

Xia Wuyang thought to himself. With his Supreme Talent Seven-Aperture Exquisite and so many Miracle Treasures to assist him, his progress was astonishingly fast. There was no need to be too hasty.

Only after Emperor Xia had calmed Consort Zhen down and bestowed a great deal of Cultivation Resources upon her did Xia Wuyang quietly depart from Yu Yao Palace.

During that time, Emperor Xia had also carefully examined Consort Zhen’s condition. He confirmed that no one had secretly harmed her and that he had simply been careless, which finally put his worries to rest.

After returning to Wenhua Hall, Xia Wuyang continued to focus on his cultivation. He would spend an hour or two each day with his many beautiful consorts but dedicated the rest of his time almost entirely to his training.

Now that he had a better grasp of Emperor Xia’s power, Xia Wuyang had a clearer direction and goal for his future cultivation.

Once he accumulated enough power, he might get the chance to take down Emperor Xia with his Spiritual Shackles and seize control of the Great Xia Dynasty.

Then, all the treasures Emperor Xia possessed would become his, undoubtedly boosting his overall strength significantly.

And then there were the treasures in the Emperor’s Inner Treasury. According to Cao Zhenghe, in addition to the Inner Treasury, Emperor Xia also had several Secret Vaults filled with even more valuables.

With just a few more High Level Miracle Treasures, forget the Super Grade Realm—even reaching the Extraordinary Realm wouldn’t be that difficult.

Just as Xia Wuyang had settled back into his cultivation after resolving the matter of the Celestial Water Essence, a message from Tantai Zhan, the Grand General of the Imperial Guard whom he had enslaved, made his heart tighten.

”Lord Emperor, a shocking rumor has begun to circulate in White Jade City over the past few days. It’s said that Xuan Nu Palace’s Supreme Secret Technique, the Sword Control Skill, may have surfaced in the Capital City!”

This was the message from Tantai Zhan. The rumor was already brewing up a storm in White Jade City; otherwise, Tantai Zhan wouldn’t have bothered to report it. Clearly, the news had already caused a considerable stir and was having a significant impact.

Xuan Nu Palace was one of the top five Major Sects in the Great Xia Dynasty. It possessed numerous Cultivation Techniques, Battle Skills, and Secret Techniques... but even among them all, the Sword Control Skill was considered one of the very best.

It was said to be a technique that surpassed the Mortal Level, reaching the tier of a Spirit Art. Even among Spirit Arts, it was renowned. The technique allowed a Martial Artist in the Body Refining Stage to master a skill that was normally only achievable in the Qi Refining Stage.

The Sword Control Skill was fundamentally a supreme technique for controlling a sword with qi. Normally, one had to be in the Qi Refining Stage to command a Spirit Sword with True Qi, and even that required special Combat Techniques and Secret Techniques.

However, this Sword Control Skill from Xuan Nu Palace allowed a Martial Artist in the Body Refining Stage to use their Qi and Blood Power to send a Treasure Sword flying, a testament to its rarity and power.

Once the user reached the Qi Refining Stage, its power would soar even further, reaching an unimaginable level.

’Among all the Cultivation Techniques, Battle Skills, and Secret Techniques I’ve mastered, probably none can compare to the Sword Control Skill in terms of Level and power.’

’If I could obtain this Supreme Secret Technique, my overall strength would skyrocket.’

Most importantly, the Crown Prince Consort, Yun Liyue, hailed from Xuan Nu Palace, and her master, Elder Qing Yin, was one of the sect’s highest-ranking Elders.

Years ago, while traveling, she’d had a fortuitous encounter and obtained this Supreme Secret Technique. Afterward, she cultivated it to a profound level and made a name for herself by slaying several masters of the Demon Dao, shaking the world with her might.

Relying on the Sword Control Skill, Elder Qing Yin, though only a First Grade Perfection Grandmaster, did not fear ordinary Super Grade Celestial Humans. She was counted among the world’s greatest masters.

However, after Xia Wuyang had been crippled, he forced Yun Liyue to go to Xuan Nu Palace for help, hoping to obtain some of the sect’s greatest treasures to try and heal his injuries.

As a result, the relationship between Yun Liyue and Elder Qing Yin grew strained. The incident also caused Elder Qing Yin’s relationship with the sect to deteriorate further, and ultimately, they failed to acquire the Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures.

This incident was the primary reason for the tension in Xia Wuyang’s relationship with Yun Liyue. Combined with other minor issues, the root cause was the drastic change in Xia Wuyang’s personality after he was crippled, which ultimately caused the rift between them to deepen.

Fortunately, while these events had created a rift between Elder Qing Yin and Yun Liyue, it wasn’t severe, and the two still kept in contact occasionally.

After obtaining the Sword Control Skill, Elder Qing Yin hadn’t handed it over to Xuan Nu Palace. Instead, she kept it for her own cultivation, planning to turn it in at an appropriate time.

Unexpectedly, before she could hand over the Sword Control Skill, she was severely injured some time ago. She then returned to the sect and subsequently vanished, and the whereabouts of the Sword Control Skill became a mystery.

According to Tantai Zhan’s report, many suspected that Elder Qing Yin’s disappearance was connected to the upper echelons of Xuan Nu Palace, as she was not on good terms with some of the sect’s leaders.

The discord was partly due to the incident with Xia Wuyang and partly due to the Sword Control Skill itself. Her disappearance right after returning to Xuan Nu Palace was naturally going to arouse suspicion.

Some time ago, Yun Liyue had sent people to investigate and search for Elder Qing Yin’s whereabouts, but they had come up empty-handed.

To this day, she remained worried and had not given up the investigation, a fact Xia Wuyang was well aware of.

He had thought the matter was over, but after only a few days of peace, a new rumor began to spread. It claimed that the Sword Control Skill, the very technique Elder Qing Yin had used to dominate the world, had not vanished with her. Instead, it had been passed down to her favorite closed-door disciple, Yun Liyue.

Even several of Elder Qing Yin’s other disciples—Yun Liyue’s own senior martial sisters—were spreading this rumor, turning Yun Liyue into a public target. Many now coveted the world-shaking Supreme Secret Technique.

Hearing the news, many masters from the Jianghu began flocking to White Jade City, hoping to seize the Sword Control Skill from Yun Liyue. Their ranks included Second Grade Grandmasters and even First Grade Grandmasters. It was rumored that even some reclusive old monsters at the Celestial Human level had taken an interest.

Masters from Xuan Nu Palace had also been dispatched and were already attempting to contact Yun Liyue, hoping to obtain the Sword Control Skill.

At this very moment, White Jade City was in an uproar over the Sword Control Skill.

Some of the Princes and Princesses were also getting restless. After all, the power of this Supreme Secret Technique was widely known. It was a formidable technique that could help a Martial Artist fight opponents a Grand Realm above them. Versatile in both offense and defense, it could even be used to escape—an extremely well-rounded technique.
