Elderly Prince: My Spirit Increases by 1 Point Daily

Chapter 137: Chapter 136: It Wasn’t Me, It Really Wasn’t Me

As the Awakening Pill dissolved in his mouth, Xia Wuyang could clearly feel a refreshing coolness spread through his Sea of Consciousness. His Spiritual Power began to grow.

At the same time, his Supreme Talent, Seven-Aperture Exquisite, activated. It directed this growth into seven different aspects, rather than just a simple increase in Spiritual Power.

Although this consumed more of the elixir’s potency, the benefits were far greater.

When other Martial Artists enhanced their Spiritual Power, who among them could also improve their Comprehension, creativity, and focus? Xia Wuyang was one of a kind.

So, even though the consumption was a bit high, Xia Wuyang felt it was all worth it.

Spirit +1!

After he absorbed and digested a single Awakening Pill, his Spiritual Power increased by one point, equivalent to a full day of cultivation.

It might not sound like much, but this increase encompassed all seven aspects.

Comprehension and creativity, in particular, consumed the most medicinal energy and were the hardest to improve.

If the outside world learned that Xia Wuyang could boost his Comprehension and creativity with just an ordinary Spiritual Elixir, they would surely go insane.

If he were to take all ten Awakening Pills, he could probably save ten days of cultivation.

Moreover, as his Spiritual Power rose, his Body Refining Cultivation improved along with it. It wasn’t just a single-faceted enhancement.

From now on, he could take one Awakening Pill every two days to make his Spiritual Power even higher and stronger.

By now, the sky was beginning to lighten. The Twenty-fourth Prince, Xia Baifeng, should be discovering his ”surprise” any moment now.

”Ah... What’s going on?”

Sure enough, just before dawn, Xia Baifeng stared at his somewhat empty Sleeping Palace and the opened secret chamber, letting out a shrill cry.

To his horror, he realized that a certain important part of his body seemed to be... gone.

Normally when he woke up in the morning, everything down there was in fine form, but now it was completely lifeless.

Combined with the ransacked state of his Sleeping Palace, how could Xia Baifeng possibly bear it?

While summoning an Imperial Physician, he immediately led his men to search the entire Fengnian Hall. To his despair, he quickly discovered that anything of the slightest value had been scraped completely clean.

At that moment, an Imperial Physician arrived. Xia Baifeng deliberately led him into a secret room, ensuring they were alone.

After a thorough examination, Xia Baifeng asked, full of hope, ”Well? It can be cured, right?”

”This...” The Imperial Physician hesitated, carefully choosing his words before replying helplessly, ”Your Yang Meridian has been destroyed. It will gradually lose all function. This condition is similar to that of the Seventh Prince, Xia Wunian. If you wish to be cured, I’m afraid it would require legendary Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures.”

”Impossible! You’re lying to me!” Xia Baifeng’s face was a mask of disbelief. As the Imperial Physician stared in horror, the prince’s palm struck his head. Clearly, he intended to kill the man to keep the matter from getting out.

The Seventh Prince Xia Wunian’s tragic state was still a fresh memory. How could he be willing to let news of this spread?

If the outside world found out he was slowly turning into a eunuch, he could forget about the position of Crown Prince; even his current status and privileges would be swiftly stripped away.

Without the corresponding power and resources, how could he ever find a treasure capable of healing his injury? Therefore, this matter absolutely could not be allowed to spread.

’This was exactly what Xia Wuyang wanted. Let them suffer a huge loss, but also force them to keep their mouths shut, unable to speak of it. A living hell. Utter agony.’

Meanwhile, news of the theft at Fengnian Hall spread. Emperor Xia soon heard of it and grew even more furious.

’What has been going on in the Imperial Palace lately?’ he fumed. ’One Prince or Princess after another has been robbed. Who exactly is targeting them? Do they have no regard for the Great Xia Royal Family at all?’

The Divine Female Constable, Liu Yiqing, arrived at the scene immediately. Known for her astuteness, even she was looking quite weary these days.

’So much time has passed, yet I still haven’t found the culprit,’ she thought. ’I haven’t even found a single useful clue.’

’Although Princess Jinping provided traces of the Enchanting Heart Technique, giving me a lead, it wasn’t my own discovery.’

A careful investigation of the scene yielded nothing. Fortunately, an expert sent by Princess Jinping arrived just then and, using a special Secret Technique, once again discovered traces of the Enchanting Heart Technique.

The two parties looked at each other, a little uncertain.

”Could it... could it be related to the Seventh Prince and the True Yin Sect again?”

”Besides the True Yin Sect, who else uses the Enchanting Heart Technique? And who else acts so secretively that traces can only be found with a Secret Technique? Only a First Grade expert or higher from the True Yin Sect could pull this off.”

”But everyone knows about Seventh Prince Xia Wunian’s situation. He doesn’t seem capable of doing these things, nor does he have the strength. Could it be that the True Yin Sect is acting alone?”

...

When the Twenty-fourth Prince, Xia Baifeng, learned that traces of the Enchanting Heart Technique were found in his hall, he became half-crazed. ”Damn you, Xia Wunian! It was you again! I won’t let you get away with this! You bastard, you just wait!”

Soon, the Seventh Prince, Xia Wunian, also received the news. This was nearly the last straw for Xia Wunian, whose situation was already dire.

’The Enchanting Heart Technique again? How am I involved again? Who on earth is trying to frame me?’

’It wasn’t me! It really wasn’t me! Could the True Yin Sect be setting me up? Otherwise, why have they been ignoring me all this time?’

’It must be them. But I haven’t offended them. Why would they do this to me?’

...

Recalling his recent ordeals—being targeted by multiple Princes and Princesses, and now apparently offending the Twenty-fourth Prince, Xia Baifeng—Xia Wunian couldn’t help but retreat into his secret chamber and collapse to the floor.

”No... not like this...”

His voice was high-pitched and grating, taking on the quality of a eunuch’s, even carrying a hint of feminine coquettishness. It was clear his Yang Meridian was almost completely destroyed, with little hope of recovery.

No one suspected the elder Crown Prince, Xia Wuyang. After all, he was currently immersed in the company of the Jiangnan Beauties. He was utterly pleased with them, not feeling like someone was trying to harm him, but rather that this was a fortunate turn of events.

Under such circumstances, he was unlikely to retaliate against the Twenty-fourth Prince, Xia Baifeng. Besides, he didn’t have the strength to do so.

Moreover, it wasn’t necessary to act over such a trivial matter. In the past, Xia Baifeng had done even more outrageous things, and the elder Crown Prince had never been seen to do anything but swallow his anger and endure it.

This latest incident could even be considered a good thing, as it allowed the elder Crown Prince to enjoy even more beautiful women. Why would he take action because of it?

Many people were unaware that the Twenty-fourth Prince, Xia Baifeng, had just plotted against the elder Crown Prince, Xia Wuyang, so they were even less likely to suspect him.

Coupled with the matter of the Enchanting Heart Technique, many suspected that this was related to Xia Wunian and the True Yin Sect, making them even less likely to suspect Xia Wuyang.

In Wenhua Hall, Xia Wuyang was still playing a game of blind man’s bluff with the Jiangnan Beauties. Whomever he caught would have to let him do as he pleased and would also receive a ”special punishment.”
