Noah’s POV

In the car Elias doesn’t look at me.

After yesterday’s deadly silent treatment and last night’s intensely hot moment, I should be used to it, but I’m not.

My omega is doing something he has never done before...he’s sulking.

Impossible.

I’ve spent a few weeks being observed by Elias Deus like a fancy rock, and now, I’ve become addicted to it.

Something is really wrong with me. I can’t deny it, so I’ve accepted it. I know when I get back to Gotteigen and see Freya again, I’ll be back to my right senses.

Right senses of fighting for Winslow and its dignity. But for now...I just want to be Noah, not Noah the governor’s son, but Noah the boy who lives.

”So...no one is going to address it?” Kai mumbles and Elias looks at me.

Address what?

”Control your scent. You smell out of control” he says coldly and my eyes widen as I slap my hand over my scent gland.

”I don’t” I defend myself; blushing red at the way Damien wriggles his brow. I can see him through the rearview mirror, and he’s stressing me out.

Maybe I do smell out of control; there’s a mix of annoyance, giddiness and is that...desire?

Oh goddess, I’m so embarrassed AGAIN.

”Are omegas always this...wild smelling?” Kai complains again, leaning into the open window.

”Don’t bother Noah, Kai. You’ll understand him better when you have an omega to give dick to” Damien says and Kai lifts his head from his phone.

”Of course you would know. After all you might be a virgin again with how much you’ve been moping over an omega-” the blond haired Deus says and Elias snickers quietly.

So he has humor?

”Do not air me and my crush out!” Damien growls at his brother.

It’s funny to hear a man like Damien having a crush. Not just funny, but weird.

”Hurry and fuck him, Damien. We’re tired of your moping” my husband says and Damien gives him the middle finger.

”Worry about your omega and his out of control scent” he says without looking at us and I shrink into the seat, wishing I can disappear.

Great, they’ve brought all attention back to me.

These four, including Lucas, banter like normal young men who do normal young men things.

Anyone who gets accepted into their friend group would have the time of their life...with a sprinkle of psychopathic moments.

”We’re getting closer” Lucas announces and the mood in the car slightly changes.

”No shooting. Noah will talk with Roman first of all, and if we don’t get good results. We raze” Elias says to his brothers and they nod.

”Got it” Lucas says with his eyes on the road.

Damien casually pulls out his black gun and starts to load it.

Kai goes back to playing his violent video game.

Lucas hums along to the bubblegum pop song he’s playing.

And Elias being Elias stays quiet. The alpha’s body is tense, but his eyes are mapping out everyone and everything.

While he’s busy watching everything, I’m busy watching him.

He’s like a pocket watch, he keeps ticking. He doesn’t rest and his presence is quiet but loud and focused.

Lucas gets us to the Stiles home and the brothers get down first. But before I can escape the car through Kai’s side of the door, Elias grabs my hand and pulls me back.

”Hey!” I protest as his fingers rub circles into my pulse point and the small scent gland of my wrist.

My wrists are still red from last night’s activity, and looking at it makes me blush.

The alpha wordlessly rubs my wrist against his neck in an intimate act of joining my scent with his in a sweet, yet powerful mix.

Cold strawberry, it’s alluring but warns you to be careful.

”Don’t come back to me smelling like him” Elias murmurs.

”Just say you’re jealous” I whisper and his grip on my hand tightens.

”Jealousy?” he asks and I nod, pressing my lips together to keep my whimper in. He’s trying to hurt me on purpose.

”Do you get jealous when your clothes get washed by your dry cleaner?” he asks.

”N-no” I stutter.

”You don’t get jealous because it’s yours. it’s your possession, just as you are my fucking possession” the alpha says with the flattest tone.

How can he say something that makes me warm inside while sounding this...detached. It makes no sense.

”You get thirty minutes with him” he pats my thigh and I whimper. They still hurt from last night.

”Ow” I murmur and he takes his hand off me so fast that someone would think he got burnt.

”Go” he says and I hiss as I get out of the car through Kai’s side.

”Quickie?” Damien asks, making Lucas groan.

”For the love of everything bad, shut up, D” the guard says and Damien starts to snicker. He doesn’t even seem annoyed by Lucas asking him to shut up.

We get into the house and there’s a line of heavily armed men stopping us from going through.

The men are standing closely together, dressed in combat outfits. Some of them are holding guns and others are just standing there.

What is wrong with Roman’s father? Doesn’t he know what the Deus are capable of?

Damien whistles with absolute and maniacal delight.

”Oh this would be so fun” Kai says and Elias looks at me pointedly, asking me without words what my next step will be.

”Please, just...let me try first” I plead.

The alpha looks at me for a few seconds before nodding.

I walk up to the men and they stay fixed in their position, staring down at me as I approach them.

I really really didn’t want to be anyone’s prince today...but here I am.

”Stand back” I say with the tone of Winslow’s golden prince.

”I’m Noah Goldsmith, the son of Winslow’s governor” I say and they look at each other. The two at the forefront discuss for a few seconds before stepping back for me.

”Come in, but only you” he says and I nod in agreement.

I look at Elias over my shoulder, giving him a reassuring nod too, before walking into the Stiles mansion.

The whole place is quiet as I walk in, but I can hear Roman’s voice talking angrily with someone.

”We have to save him! Noah doesn’t deserve to be trapped by those...abusers and monsters” he’s saying.

I’m too used to hearing him talk gently that his angry tone makes me feel unsettled.

”Calm down, son” his father’s voice drawls.

”Dad, we need a plan and we need it now” Roman says and I get closer to the room they’re talking in.

”We’ll blow their car up if we have to-”

”Roman” I call and he turns around.

The alpha’s face soften as he sees me and he leaves the table to come to me.

His blonde hair is uncombed and he looks handsome, he looks like someone out of a fairytale. His blue eyes scan my body and the moment he stops in front of me, his eyes widen with absolute horror.

”Goddess...Noah, what on earth happened to you?” he asks and I place my hand to my chest to cover my bruises.

Oh.

”Oh...” I say.

”Oh? Oh? I’m going to end all of them right now” he heads for the door.

Oh no. Oh no. No. No.
