The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 287: Chapter 287: Mr. Cheng, Please Forgive Me

Chen Weizhong remembered it clearly: Villa No. 1 was valued at 260 million. It had supposedly been vacant for many years, but to his surprise, it now had an owner!

Chen Weizhong knew all too well that the gap between him and the owner of Villa No. 1 was as vast as the one he perceived between himself and Cheng Yuan. A single word from such a person could bankrupt him and utterly destroy his reputation.

Chen Weizhong grew nervous. ”Shanshan, Cheng Yuan is a servant at Villa No. 1, so we’d best not provoke him from now on! The owner of Villa No. 1 is definitely the kind of person who can make all of Luocheng quake just by stomping their foot! Even President Huang in Villa No. 3 has to look up to them!”

Wang Shanshan bobbed her head in agreement, like a chick pecking at grain. It was like the old saying: even a minor official at the prime minister’s gate holds sway.

’If Cheng Yuan says a few bad things about my darling to the owner, the consequences will be disastrous!’

”Darling, go ask these security guards. Find out who in the world this venerated owner of Villa No. 1 is.”

Chen Weizhong got out of the car, stopped a few security guards, and enthusiastically offered them cigarettes. ”Fellas, could I ask you something? Which big shot is the owner of Villa No. 1?”

Having accepted his cigarettes, one of the guards whispered, ”The owner of Villa No. 1 is a Mr. Cheng.”

Chen Weizhong didn’t make the connection between ”Mr. Cheng” and Cheng Yuan. He lowered his voice and asked, ”What’s this Mr. Cheng’s background? Is he an Overseas Chinese? Or a local? How have I never heard of him?”

Wang Shanshan also looked on with curiosity.

The guards gave the two of them a strange look.

”Didn’t you just see him? The man who was in our patrol car a moment ago, that’s Mr. Cheng.”

’Cheng Yuan is Mr. Cheng?’

WENG!!

Wang Shanshan’s and Chen Weizhong’s minds exploded!

Neither of them could accept this reality!

”Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Cheng Yuan only got out of prison less than two months ago! Back in school, he couldn’t even afford to buy me a birthday gift. How could he possibly be the owner of Villa No. 1?”

The security guards shrugged.

”We wouldn’t know about that. All we know is our President Mei is extremely respectful toward Mr. Cheng. He even had a whole new set of furniture brought in for him personally.”

’President Mei?’

’But he’s the biggest real estate developer in Luocheng!’

Chen Weizhong felt his head spin. He had actually offended a titan whom even President Mei had to suck up to!

When he recalled how he had just been sneering at and mocking Cheng Yuan, Chen Weizhong felt his legs turn to jelly.

Chen Weizhong suddenly spun around and slapped Wang Shanshan hard across the face!

”You bitch! It’s all because you egged me on that I offended Mr. Cheng! Now get the hell out! I never want to see your face again!”

With that, Chen Weizhong hurried toward Villa No. 1. He had to apologize to Cheng Yuan! He had to get Cheng Yuan’s forgiveness!

DING-DONG.

Chen Weizhong rang the doorbell.

Wang Shanshan, clutching her cheek, followed him. She couldn’t believe Cheng Yuan was the owner of Villa No. 1. She had to see it with her own eyes!

”You bitch, what are you following me for? Haven’t you done enough to ruin me?”

Wang Shanshan stared blankly at Chen Weizhong’s snarling face, suddenly feeling what a fool she’d been. She had almost given herself to this vicious old man. ’Judging by how he’s acting now,’ she thought, ’he never would have given me that villa, even after he got what he wanted.’

’At least I saw his true colors early enough to cut my losses.’

Wang Shanshan said coldly, ”Cheng Yuan was my classmate. He used to have a huge crush on me back in school. You lay one more finger on me and see what happens.”

Chen Weizhong’s expression faltered. He didn’t dare to touch Wang Shanshan again.

BEEP.

A video intercom screen lit up, and Wu Xiuli’s face appeared. ”Hello, who are you looking for?”

When Wang Shanshan saw Wu Xiuli, her heart skipped a beat. She had secretly looked into Cheng Yuan’s family in the past and recognized the elegant woman on the screen at once. It was Cheng Yuan’s mother!

All of Wang Shanshan’s doubts vanished in an instant. ’His mother lives here, so there’s no question about it—Cheng Yuan is the owner!’

At that moment, Wang Shanshan was sick with regret.

’If only I had held on for a few more days! If I’d just waited for Cheng Yuan to get out of prison, I’d be the lady of Villa No. 1 right now!’

’If that had happened, would this vicious old man Chen Weizhong have dared to hit me? Would he have dared to curse me? Of course not! He’d be on his knees, groveling at my feet, right?’

Forget Chen Weizhong!

’In all of Luocheng, who would dare to disrespect me?’

Wang Shanshan felt a tight, painful knot in her chest. She was so filled with regret she wanted to die!

She once had the chance to live a life of luxury right in front of her, but she’d thrown it all away.

It was only then that Wang Shanshan finally understood.

Cheng Yuan wasn’t just a human shield. ’That woman, Lin Ruoxi, must have known he was the owner of Villa No. 1. That’s why she was shamelessly throwing herself at him!’

Chen Weizhong didn’t recognize Wu Xiuli, but seeing her dignified air, he knew she had to be the lady of Villa No. 1. He said very politely, ”Ma’am, hello. I am Chen Weizhong, Chairman of the Chen Group. I’ve come to see Mr. Cheng.”

”Are you looking for Hongbing or Xiaoyuan?”

”Cheng Yuan. Mr. Cheng.”

”Have you contacted Xiaoyuan?”

Chen Weizhong gave a bitter smile. ’How am I supposed to answer that?’ he thought.

From the side, Wang Shanshan said softly, ”Auntie, I’m a classmate of Cheng Yuan’s.”

”Oh, one of Xiaoyuan’s classmates? In that case, please come in.”

CLICK. Wu Xiuli unlocked the gate remotely.

Chen Weizhong and Wang Shanshan entered the grounds of Villa No. 1.

The estate of Villa No. 1 was incredibly luxurious. The lawn was meticulously manicured. A few young people were kicking a soccer ball around on the grass, while several others were swimming in an outdoor pool.

As they walked, Chen Weizhong marveled, ”Villa No. 1 even has two secondary buildings! Either one of them is bigger than my entire villa...”

Hearing this, Wang Shanshan felt another dagger twist in her heart.

’What have I done?’

After a full ten-minute walk across the lawn, the pair finally arrived at the main entrance of the villa itself.

Knowing they had offended Cheng Yuan, Wu Xiuli was waiting to greet them personally at the door.

”President Chen, and you, young lady, please come in. Aunt Zhang, please prepare some tea.”

”Yes, Madam.”

Wu Xiuli said in a gentle voice, ”Please wait here a moment. I’ll go get Xiaoyuan.”

A moment later, Wu Xiuli practically dragged Cheng Yuan out of the Alchemy Room.

”Xiaoyuan, your classmate is here. Go greet your guest.”

’Classmate?’

A million questions popped into Cheng Yuan’s head. ’None of my classmates know I live in Villa No. 1, do they?’ He couldn’t imagine Wang Shanshan being shameless enough to show up at his door.

Soon, Cheng Yuan walked into the living room. When he saw Chen Weizhong and Wang Shanshan, his expression instantly darkened.

”Who let you into my home? Get out. Now!”

Chen Weizhong hurriedly bowed to Cheng Yuan. ”Mr. Cheng, it was all Wang Shanshan’s doing! She’s the one who made me offend you! I’ve already cut all ties with her! Please, I beg you, just let me go as if I were an insignificant fart!”

Cheng Yuan snorted. ”What you do with Wang Shanshan has nothing to do with me. Scram, or I’m calling security!”

Chen Weizhong’s face drained of color. With a THUD, he dropped to his knees. ”Mr. Cheng, if you don’t forgive me, I won’t get up from this spot!”
