Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 3055: Chapter 2991: Why Come Looking for Me

Jiang Xiao’s face remained calm as she watched him walk quickly ahead, while she walked slowly behind.

She saw Luo Yongsheng walk to the car nearby and knock on the window.

Then the car door opened, and a woman got out. Subsequently, the other car door opened, and another woman got out.

Both women appeared to be dressed very meticulously, not necessarily beautiful, but they looked very neat, like a cadre’s outfit.

Luo Yongsheng said something to them, then looked over towards her, and the two women followed suit.

Jiang Xiao was certain that she didn’t know these two women.

However, they were clearly here for her.

Those who can find her home are usually either familiar acquaintances or have the means to find her address.

These two women clearly belonged to the latter.

As Jiang Xiao pondered this, she’d already reached her door.

The two women, the slightly older one, had her hair in a perfectly neat bun, round face, wearing a gray checkered blouse and black trousers, black sandals, and her gaze had a distinctive look of appraisal.

The other woman seemed to be in her early thirties, had ear-length permed hair, fair skin, shaped eyebrows, wore a white shirt tucked into army green trousers, white sandals, and was carrying a bag that seemed to contain apples or something similar.

”You’re Jiang Xiao, right?”

The older woman asked.

Jiang Xiao nodded, ”I am Jiang Xiao.”

After asking her name, shouldn’t they introduce themselves?

Instead, the woman said to her, ”Open the door first, and we’ll talk inside.”

Jiang Xiao’s eyes flashed, ”You’re here to see me? Could you introduce yourselves first? I don’t know the two of you.”

And she doesn’t have the habit of inviting strangers directly into her home.

The older woman glanced at her again and said leisurely, ”We’ll tell you after we go inside.”

Jiang Xiao originally thought of saying that if they didn’t say it, she wouldn’t let them in, but on second thought, she decided to step back.

She walked over, took out the key, and opened the door, ”Please come in.”

She hoped they would have some respect, or else she would keep track of even the slightest offenses.

The two women entered the door one after the other, and stood in the yard looking around, their eyes showing some surprise.

The woman with permed hair turned around, looked at Jiang Xiao, and asked, ”Is this house Meng Xinian’s?”

So, the other party may not have met Tyrant Meng, but they should at least know him and be aware of his relationship with her.

Jiang Xiao shook her head.

”No.”

The women looked even more surprised and incredulous, asking, ”Is it yours?”

Jiang Xiao replied, ”This is the home of both Meng Xinian and me, so it doesn’t belong to one of us, but rather to both of us.”

Her words seemed not to sit well with them.

The older woman frowned, ”Isn’t it said that you haven’t married yet? Before marriage, could it be that you’re already doing things you shouldn’t be doing?”

”Things I shouldn’t be doing?” Jiang Xiao raised her brows, what are they insinuating?

So what exactly is the identity of these two women?

Are they trying to meddle in her and Meng Xinian’s affairs?

”Such as things between husband and wife,” the older woman sized her up with a glance, even walked to her side, circled around her, and said, ”Walk a few more steps, let me see.”

Luo Yongsheng was almost sweating on the side.

What’s the objective here?
