Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2676: Chapter 2612: Probing Memories

That woman...

Her father really did have someone in his heart.

But, how old was she then?

Only a few years ago, people married early twenty years ago, didn’t the Sixth Young Master also get engaged then? Youthful feelings, perhaps it was just a hint of romance.

So, could the iron box Guan Tiezhu took back then belong to the Second Miss?

And those love poems, along with Red Bean, were they given to the Second Miss by the Sixth Young Master?

Even the small house, could it have been bought by the Sixth Young Master for the Second Miss to live in?

You have to know, by then, the Second Miss no longer had any family, she was driven out by the Lu Family, and at such a young age, just a teenager, where could she possibly go?

If she found the Sixth Young Master, he surely wouldn’t be at ease knowing she was wandering alone, so secretly buying her a little house to provide shelter seemed quite reasonable.

But later, something happened; the Sixth Young Master never went to see her again, and when the Second Miss heard about his incident, she couldn’t stay there either, so she went everywhere looking for him. Was that how it went?

If that’s the case, then, in the turmoil back then, could that woman possibly have encountered the same fate as Chen Zhu did?

It’s still unknown whether she’s alive or dead now.

But who is her biological mother?

Who carried the Sixth Young Master’s child and then went to Siyang Village?

Could her biological mother possibly be the Second Miss?

As Chiang Xiao thought of this her head began to ache.

She stood up straight, paced around the room a few times, her heart a jumble of emotions.

Once she finally calmed down a bit, she asked, ”And then? Did Lu Shuangshuang ever do anything else? Did she find the Second Miss?”

”The First Miss kept searching for the Second Miss; she said that no matter what, she had to know whether the Second Miss was dead or alive. Moreover, if the Sixth Young Master ever came back, she absolutely wouldn’t let them have a chance to be together, but after all these years, they still haven’t found the Second Miss. However, because my figure and features somewhat resemble the Second Miss, for many years, the First Miss has made me maintain this figure and face, so they might serve a purpose in the future.”

Serve a purpose?

What does that mean?

”It seems the Sixth Young Master has forgotten the Second Miss, and this time, the First Miss wanted me to play the flute that the Second Miss used to play often, hoping to lure the Sixth Young Master over and see if it could help him recall something.”

So her father has truly forgotten the person he loved?

”Why does Lu Shuangshuang want him to remember the Second Miss? Isn’t it better to let him forget her?”

”Because the First Miss doesn’t entirely believe that the Sixth Young Master has truly lost his memory, she wants to test him. If he really can’t remember the Second Miss, then he surely can’t recall what happened back then, including the engagement dismissal. As long as he truly has amnesia, the First Miss would feel much more at ease.”

”Does Lu Shuangshuang know what really happened to the Sixth Young Master back then? Does she know who harmed him?”

”The First Miss doesn’t know about this incident; she was young back then, so the Lu Family didn’t let her know many things. Perhaps someone in the Lu Family knows, but the First Miss has never been able to find out.”

So, it turns out Lu Shuangshuang doesn’t know the truth of that incident either.

Chiang Xiao asked a few more questions, and Fei Cui answered them one by one.
