Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2503: Chapter 2439: I’m Your Dad

Nian Che smiled again.

”It seems you’re a bit upset because I didn’t reveal my identity last time at the hospital? All right, I’ll listen to you and introduce myself. My surname is Nian, my given name is Che, my English name is Kevin, and I’m Xinian’s uncle.”

”My mom doesn’t have any biological brothers,” Meng Xinian said coldly. ”There’s no need to play family ties, just state your purpose directly.”

”I’ve always called your grandfather my father, and your mother my sister. Whether you acknowledge it or not, these are the facts. Sit down, the food will be ready soon. Let’s eat and then have a proper talk, shall we?”

Meng Xinian pulled out the chair opposite him near the door, ”Wife, sit.”

Chiang Xiao sat down as instructed, and only then did Meng Xinian pull out the chair next to her to sit.

There was an empty seat between Nian Mutong and Chiang Xiao, and another empty seat between her and Nian Che.

She suddenly felt more secure sitting next to Chiang Xiao rather than Nian Che, looking rather uneasy.

She didn’t really know at what age she started following Nian Che, but she could never get close to him, without knowing why.

Nian Che had unexpectedly told her to return to the country and stay at the Meng Family, and she didn’t understand his purpose.

Now, Nian Che was making her feel even more unsettled.

”Uncle, what exactly do you want to say?” Nian Mutong summoned her courage to ask.

Both sides made her feel pressured.

Nian Che glanced at her.

”Before the dishes are served, let me say something,” he suddenly said. ”Tongtong, you shouldn’t be calling me uncle, you should be calling me father, I’m your biological father.”

A clang was heard.

Nian Mutong had been nervously fiddling with a Jade Bracelet on her wrist, and upon hearing this, she was shocked and unconsciously pulled the bracelet off with force. She overexerted, and the bracelet fell to the ground, shattering into several pieces.

What a pity for that ice-type jade bracelet that looked so high-quality.

”Un-cle?” At this moment, Nian Mutong couldn’t care about the bracelet, she looked at Nian Che in shock, utterly incredulous.

What, what does this mean?

She couldn’t understand what she was hearing.

Meng Xinian frowned, just about to say that these matters had nothing to do with him, Chiang Xiao held his hand under the table.

Since they were here, they might as well listen to what he had to say.

She instinctively felt that calling these people together at this moment to discuss Nian Mutong’s background must have some connection to Meng Xinian.

Thus, there was no rush, just listen to him.

Meng Xinian kept a stern face and stayed silent.

”Didn’t I just say? I am your biological father.” Nian Che looked at her with a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. ”If you’ve seen what I looked like when I was younger, you’d know how much you resemble me. But you can ask Nian Lao Tai, right, Nian Lao Tai Tai?”

Nian Che looked at Nian Lao Tai, his face full of hatred and sarcasm.

The relationship between him and Nian Lao Tai was essentially nonexistent. Because he was an illegitimate child born as a result of Nian Lao Tai’s husband having an affair with a mistress outside, Nian Lao Tai was the legal wife, and this Nian Tang was his half-brother.

However, ironically, while his biological father was quite dashing, Nian Tang did not inherit any of his good qualities.

In the entire Nian Family, only he and Nian Chengcheng had the highest looks, and had always been the most outstanding pair.

This was something Nian Chengcheng’s father, his uncle and foster father, always said, that among all the men in the Nian Family, he was the most handsome, and Chengcheng was the most beautiful among the women.
