Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2010: Chapter 1946: Will It Be Lonely

”How can I not be worried?”

Ying Qiong saw him return her concern with just another comforting smile, and she felt a bit helpless.

”Xiao Sixth, what I mean is, before the news of your return fully spreads, don’t you really plan to tell Shuangshuang first? You must understand, if you tell her yourself proactively, it’s completely different from her hearing it from others later.”

Ying Qiong was genuinely thinking of his best interests.

If he could take the initiative to find Lu Shuangshuang, her feelings for him would be entirely different, and the emotions of excitement, thrill, and surprise would be a hundred percent genuine.

But if she hears the news later from others, all these feelings would be greatly diminished.

She might even begin to feel a bit of resentment towards Ah Liu.

Knowing she waited for him for twenty years, yet he didn’t even tell her he’s back?

Does he even care about her at all?

A woman’s thoughts can be very changeable, and Lu Shuangshuang could wait for him for twenty years, but if resentment grows at this moment, that deep affection might sour.

”I know.”

Ah Liu gently patted her hand and said, ”Sis, you don’t have to worry too much.”

”You clearly know you are currently unsupported, so why not use the help that’s readily available?” Ying Qiong was anxious. How could she not be worried? ”You and Shuangshuang were originally engaged, it’s not like you’re using her.”

”Sis, let’s not talk about this anymore. When the time is right, I will tell her.”

”What do you mean by ’the right time’?” Ying Qiong said, ”Besides, you’re in your thirties, and Shuangshuang is thirty-six. If you get married now, she can still have children. If you delay for two more years, you don’t want kids in this life?”

”If you say this and Little hears it, what will she think?” The smile faded from Ah Liu’s lips. ”I have a child; Little is my daughter.”

”That’s not what I meant. You know, I also love Little very much, she even saved my life.” Ying Qiong hurriedly said, ”But, don’t you want a son? Even if you don’t, Grandpa might still hope you can continue our family’s legacy.”

”I didn’t know my sister held such old-fashioned views.”

”How can this be called old-fashioned?” Ying Qiong sighed.

Of course, she also loved Chiang Xiao, but the reality is Chiang Xiao can never inherit the Jiang Family; there has never been a woman taking charge in Jiang Family.

Besides, if Ah Liu doesn’t marry or have children, he will face many doubts and opposition in taking on the Jiang Family.

No sons would make people think the lineage would end, how could he take over Jiang Family?

Even if he does take over the Jiang Family, there will still be many people forcing him to marry and have children in the future.

Since at that time others would push women onto him, why not marry his rightful fiancée early?

Ying Qiong didn’t think she was wrong in thinking this way.

This is a realistic problem, not something you can avoid just by talking.

If he doesn’t marry or have children, everyone will also gossip in front of Chiang Xiao, which would be a great pressure on her.

Moreover, having more siblings isn’t a bad thing at all.

”You don’t know, over the past twenty years, how much I’ve hoped our family could have more siblings, so we could support each other. When you weren’t around, I always felt especially lonely.”

Of all the things Ying Qiong said, only this one sentence caused Ah Liu to pause slightly.
