Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 205: Chapter 205: How to Distribute

Xu Linjiang sighed with a wry smile and said, ”I’m really envious that you can do what I want to do but don’t dare to do.”

He also wanted to stand up to his stepmother and his father, who only listened to his stepmother, and even, to give that selfish, greedy, and unreasonable stepmother a beating. but he just couldn’t do it, couldn’t act as impulsively as Chiang Xiao.

Otherwise, his father would definitely be furious, and the relatives and elders in the family would each have their say, scolding him to the point where he couldn’t recover.

He couldn’t do it himself, but he still greatly envied and admired Chiang Xiao for being able to stand up for herself and her family.

Chiang Xiao looked at his bitter smile and the helplessness on his face and pursed her lips.

She and Xu Linjiang weren’t very familiar with each other, so naturally she wouldn’t interfere with his family affairs.

Besides, she hadn’t even sorted out her own matters yet.

However, the fact that Xu Linjiang would talk to her like this did increase her good impressions of him.

Although Ge Dejun also felt she hadn’t done anything wrong, as an older relative, his thoughts did bear some resemblance to Chiang Songhai and Ge Liutao.

”You’ve really angered your step-grandmother. If she sets her heart on settling scores with you and brings all the relatives and elders out, you won’t have an easy time. Little, listen to your uncle, keep your distance from her in the future. If it really can’t be helped, just let me know, and I will teach her a lesson for you! But after all, you’re the younger generation; it’s not right for you to raise a hand against her.”

Chiang Xiao shook her head and didn’t explain any further.

However, the fact that Ge Dejun would say this and even offered to deal with Ho Laidi for her, made Chiang Xiao very grateful.

As they talked, they soon reached Bai Gu Mountain.

This time, Chiang Xiao climbed up from the Tianxiang Green side. When they reached the Tianxiang Green bushes, she hurried to check if the young sprouts had grown, and the sight filled her with surprise and delight.

It hadn’t been many days, yet the young sprouts had all grown back!

The soil on Bai Gu Mountain was indeed fertile; the plants were growing so fast!

Today, they would definitely be able to pick another thirty pounds of young sprouts!

”Uncle, auntie’s husband, look, just from these sprouts, we won’t miss out on earning six yuan!”

Hearing what Chiang Xiao said, both Ge Dejun and Xu Linjiang were also thrilled.

With young sprouts going for two yuan a handful, although six yuan wasn’t much, earning six yuan just from one trip up the mountain was certainly an income.

Chiang Xiao didn’t let them pick the young sprouts right away. Since they had to pass by here on their way down the mountain, it made sense to pick them then.

”Little, that Peace Restaurant, can they really take so much Tianxiang Green?” asked Ge Dejun, unable to contain his excitement.

”They can. We’ve already discussed it with Director Ma. Besides, if he goes back on his word, we can sell them at the town’s vegetable market and still sell out.”

Ge Dejun nodded in agreement.

Indeed, the young sprouts of Tianxiang Green looked so tender and succulent that he even wanted to eat them!

”Uncle, auntie’s husband, we haven’t discussed how to distribute the income at home yet. Now, let me talk to you about it. If you think it’s not appropriate, please speak up,” Chiang Xiao continued to lead them up the hill, her voice clear as she talked about the distribution plan she had thought up the night before.

”How else to distribute it?” Ge Dejun was taken aback and directly replied, ”We just split the earnings into two parts: One for you, and the other for me and Linjiang. Isn’t that fair?”

Chiang Xiao was both amused and touched at Ge Dejun’s straightforwardness.

They were two capable adults while she was just a young girl; to suggest an even split between the two families would be a huge advantage for her!

If her grandfather had come over, Chiang Xiao would naturally want to make money from these wild vegetables. But now, her focus wasn’t on the wild vegetables as she was keen on giving Ge Dejun and Xu Linjiang a helping hand.
