Supreme Warrior in the City

While these Guardian Gods were surprised, the Strongest below began flying out one by one.

Leading them was a man named Fei He, who wore a smile on his face and headed straight to the people of the Heavenly Sect’s First God.

”Greetings, fellow Daoists!” Fei He greeted warmly, with a pleasant expression.

The Guardian Gods studied him up and down, all filled with suspicion.

Previously, that great battle had occurred, and they had seen the Strongest from the Human Clan. Yet, none of them had seen this Fei He; what was going on now?

”Who are you?” the Heavenly Sect asked in a deep voice. ”Where is Su Yang?”

”I am Fei He, from the Light Cocoon World,” Fei He replied with a smile. ”Su Yang has fled with the Human Clan members, leaving us Strongest here who bear no ill will towards the Guardian Gods.”

”You have come from afar, why not enjoy a cup of wine first?”

Fei He said with a cheerful smile, for as the saying goes, one does not strike someone with a friendly face. They had long planned their strategy, preparing to greet them with smiles.

This way, he couldn’t think of any reason for the Guardian Gods to turn against them.

In their view, everything Su Yang had said was merely alarmist talk.

The Guardian Gods only held a grudge against humans; why would they attack others?

They did not follow the Human Clan for this reason, thinking that Su Yang was intentionally trying to enlist them to fight against the Guardian Gods. These were smart people, not ones to be easily manipulated.

Truth be told, if not for their Light Cocoon World’s location, unable to be moved temporarily, they probably would have left long ago.

After all, they really did not want to get involved in such a large battle.

However, having parted ways with Su Yang, without the continuous flow of the Earth Principle Spiritual Energy, they still needed the Spiritual Energy within the Light Cocoon World. Hence, they had no choice but to remain here.

Yet, they had calculated in their minds, always greeting the Guardian Gods with smiles, and even being ready, if necessary, to betray the Human Clan to gain favor with the Guardian Gods.

No matter what, avoid conflict with the Guardian Gods to ensure their own safety.

The Heavenly Sect scanned over Fei He and the others, his eyebrows knitted tightly.

He didn’t know the true situation of Fei He and the others, but in his heart, he was considering another possibility.

Since these people appeared in the territory of the Human Clan, they must be related to them.

Perhaps, this was another scheme by Su Yang, deliberately leaving these people here, specially designed to deal with the Guardian Gods.

Having suffered several losses at Su Yang’s hands, the Heavenly Sect was now extremely cautious of Su Yang; he really dared not be careless.

A moment of carelessness could lead to another loss to Su Yang; this was the experience accumulated over the years.

Therefore, even though Fei He and others greeted them with smiles, the Heavenly Sect remained vigilant.

In fact, the more Fei He and others smiled kindly, the more cautious the Heavenly Sect became. He always felt that Fei He and the others were definitely hiding some kind of plot.

”Who exactly are you?” the Heavenly Sect asked sternly.

Fei He hesitated for a moment. He could sense vigilance and hostility from the Heavenly Sect’s tone.

Of course, he could understand the Heavenly Sect’s sentiments, and said with a smile, ”Lord Heavenly Sect, please calm down.”

”We truly bear no ill will towards the Guardian Gods.”

”We are the Strongest from the same world as Wan Du, Su Yang tried every method to persuade us to join the Human Clan to oppose the Guardian Gods.”

”But ultimately, we refused. We do not wish to partake in the battle between humans and Guardian Gods; we always maintain neutrality.”

After finishing, Fei He looked at the Heavenly Sect, still with an innocent expression.

But the Heavenly Sect tightened his brows, feeling that Fei He’s words were too airy and that there must be some scheme behind them.

The Heavenly Sect himself used to be the type with a cunning smile. He knew well that the more harmless a person smiles, the deeper the scheming, possibly hiding something behind the façade.

Therefore, the Heavenly Sect not only did not believe Fei He’s words, but was even more cautious.

He still held his initial thought: Su Yang must have left these people here with some kind of plot.

”Maintain neutrality?” the Heavenly Sect smiled slightly, scanned the group, then bellowed: ”Do you take us Guardian Gods for fools?”

”In the battle between humans and Guardian Gods, can anyone truly remain neutral?”

”It’s a matter of either black or white; it’s either the Human Clan or the Guardian Gods!”

”With us, there is no neutrality. With the Guardian Gods, there is also no neutrality!”

”Did Su Yang not explain these principles to you?”

Fei He’s expression changed, the sudden change in demeanor from the Heavenly Sect made him uneasy.

If the Guardian Gods did not recognize their neutrality, then wouldn’t they be in trouble?

”Lord Heavenly Sect, please do not be angry. What I have said is true; we truly maintain neutrality!” Fei He hastened to reply: ”We will not interfere in the battle between the Human Clan and the Guardian Gods. We will not aid the Human Clan, nor will we aid the Guardian Gods!”

”This battle has nothing to do with us. Lord Heavenly Sect, please rest assured, we will abide by our word!”

The others nodded and chimed in: ”Indeed, Lord Heavenly Sect, we truly bear no ill will towards the Guardian Gods!”

”We just want to live peacefully, not oppose the Guardian Gods.”

”We have no grievances with the Guardian Gods, so why should we oppose them?”

The Heavenly Sect’s face turned colder, and he said coldly: ”Enough talk, let me ask you, did Su Yang ever tell you about the Guardian Gods?”

Fei He nodded: ”He did mention some things...”

”Since he mentioned them, you should know the rules of the Guardian Gods!” the Heavenly Sect said coldly: ”There is no talk of neutrality with the Guardian Gods. You are either one of us or an enemy; no one can remain neutral!”

”Don’t think I don’t know what you’re planning!”

”Maintain neutrality, then watch as we and the Human Clan fight to mutual ruin, and afterward you can clean up the mess, controlling everything?”

”Hmph, you might deceive Su Yang, but you cannot deceive me!”

”Your little tricks are useless against me!”

Fei He and the others’ expressions all changed; the Heavenly Sect’s words clearly conveyed disbelief.

Moreover, judging by the Heavenly Sect’s tone, they were either to become Guardian Gods or their enemies.

The group looked grim, as the situation was entirely different from what they intended.

They originally thought that by having a good talk with the Guardian Gods and greeting them with smiles, they could resolve the matter.

But who would have thought that the Guardian Gods did not accept this approach and instead forced them to make a decision!
