Supreme Warrior in the City

These Strongest encircled Su Yang in the middle, striking desperately, trying to kill him.

Su Yang stood in the center with the Pangu Axe in hand, and the battle was deadlocked, neither side gaining the upper hand.

Before this, Su Yang truly hadn’t been a match for so many of them, but now the situation was no longer the same as before.

Just now inside the World Tree, Su Yang had slain five Strongest, heavily injured seven, and the other Strongest were all wounded as well.

With that, the strength of these Strongest dropped sharply.

Even if they joined forces to besiege Su Yang, what meaning did it have?

To Su Yang, their joint assault was far inferior to what it had been. Their strength wasn’t even half of what it was before.

Facing them again, Su Yang now had enough strength and confidence. Even fighting against so many at once, he still didn’t fall behind, the battle remaining evenly matched.

These Guardian Gods were extremely depressed; before entering the World Tree they had been suppressing Su Yang in a steady, overwhelming fashion.

But now, after leaving the World Tree, even with everyone joining hands, they could only fight Su Yang to a draw. Seeing it this way, killing Su Yang was simply too difficult!

”Someone, come help us!” one Guardian God raised his head and roared.

The Guardian Gods in the air heard this and immediately several more rushed down, throwing themselves into the fight to help deal with Su Yang.

The Human Clan experts all flew into a rage, roaring as they prepared to dive down.

But the result was still the same as before.

On the Guardian God’s side, the number of Strongest far exceeded that of the Human Clan. Even after splitting off so many to deal with Su Yang, the Guardian Gods still held the numerical advantage.

On the Human Clan’s side, even if they wanted to send people to help Su Yang, it was simply impossible. All of the Human Clan’s powerhouses were being blocked and could only watch helplessly from the air as Su Yang was surrounded by so many.

This time, the Guardian Gods were even more cautious and alert, not giving Su Yang any chance to sneak attack them.

Su Yang entered the World Tree several times, but the Heavenly Sect and the others had learned their lesson; they refused to enter the World Tree at all.

As long as Su Yang entered the World Tree, they would immediately start attacking other nearby people, forcing Su Yang to come out to rescue and relieve them.

In this way, Su Yang could no longer use the convenience of the World Tree to deal with these Guardian Gods; instead, he was the one being chased and beaten, and for a time the situation became extremely passive.

The situation for the rest of the Human Clan was slightly better, after all, Su Yang alone was holding back so many Strongest and sharing a huge portion of the burden.

Otherwise, relying only on the other members of the Human Clan, how could they possibly withstand so many Strongest?

Still, there was always a gap in strength between both sides.

Even if Su Yang alone was holding back so many Strongest, given the overall power on both sides, if they kept fighting like this, the Human Clan’s defeat was only a matter of time.

Su Yang knew very clearly that with the Human Clan weaker than the enemy, they absolutely could not keep fighting on like this.

Otherwise, in the end it would be hard to say how many of these Human Clan Strongest would still be alive to leave.

He glanced around at the crowd locked in chaotic battle, pondered for a moment, and finally made up his mind to lead everyone in a breakout.

He let out a long howl, a sound he had previously agreed upon with everyone as the signal to retreat.

Before coming here, Su Yang hadn’t known the full strength of the Guardian Gods. To be safe, he had already arranged various signals with everyone.

He hadn’t expected that these preparations would truly come in handy. At the most critical moment, he could actually use these signals to lead everyone out.

The members of the Human Clan had in fact already harbored thoughts of retreat. After all, they were well aware that if they kept fighting, the Human Clan would definitely suffer.

It was just that since the others didn’t retreat, these people couldn’t retreat either. Otherwise, if they caused chaos, the Human Clan would only be in greater trouble.

Now, receiving Su Yang’s signal, everyone suddenly felt assured.

With Su Yang’s signal, they would flee together, some breaking out while others stayed behind to cover the retreat, and the success rate of their breakout would be much higher.

Su Yang sent out a series of long howls in succession, and as the howls grew increasingly urgent, he was telling everyone to prepare to break out.

Suddenly, Su Yang let out a great shout.

The other Human Clan Strongest immediately understood the signal. They all unleashed their full power, forcing back the enemies around them.

Then they rapidly fled in one direction, no longer lingering in battle at all.

When those Guardian Gods were driven back, they were still somewhat puzzled, not knowing why the Human Clan had suddenly started fighting so desperately.

Seeing the Human Clan Strongest begin to retreat, only then did they realize what was happening.

”They’re trying to run!” the Heavenly Sect roared, ”Stop them! Don’t let them escape, don’t spare a single one!”

The Guardian Gods roared one after another as they charged forward, intending to keep all those Human Clan Strongest behind.

However, at this moment, about thirty percent of the Human Clan Strongest stayed behind.

These thirty percent were the most powerful elites on the Human Clan’s side.

After staying, they all unleashed their strongest Secret Techniques, striking with full force at the Guardian Gods who were chasing toward them.

Su Yang was in the lead, wielding the Pangu Axe, cleaving apart heaven and earth, sweeping across ages, forcing an entire group of Guardian Gods to retreat.

These Strongest attacked with everything they had, finally managing to hold back the Guardian Gods for a short while.

And those Strongest who had fled took advantage of this window and had already charged far into the distance.

Even if the Guardian Gods kept up the pursuit, whether they could catch up was very uncertain.

The Heavenly Sect was enraged and bellowed, ”If we can’t keep them all, then keep these ones! Leave none alive!”

”Since they stayed behind to cover the retreat, they must pay the price. Kill them all, don’t spare a single one!”

The Guardian Gods were likewise furious. After all, with so many of them, the Human Clan had still managed to let so many escape.

Thus, towards these Strongest who had stayed behind to cover the retreat, the Guardian Gods were filled with killing intent. They roared as they surrounded them, with no intention at all of letting them break out.

The number of Guardian Gods was simply too great. In this situation, with Su Yang and the others surrounded, breaking out again would be extremely difficult.

Even with Su Yang’s level of strength, trying to fight his way out of a siege by so many Strongest was nearly impossible, let alone for the others!

So on the Guardian Gods’ side, they were basically full of confidence that they could slaughter all of the powerhouses who had stayed behind with Su Yang.

The First God was so excited he was gesticulating wildly.

Even if a batch of Human Clan Strongest had fled, it didn’t matter.

As long as Su Yang stayed behind, as long as these Human Clan elites stayed behind, the Human Clan would be as good as broken.

After that, they would only need to spend some time hunting down the remaining Human Clan Strongest. Those people would no longer be able to pose any threat to the Guardian Gods.

In this battle, the Guardian Gods had still won a great victory!
