Supreme Warrior in the City

After discussing the matter thoroughly, Su Yang began to plan the ambush on the Guardian God.

He first selected some absolute powerhouses from the group, gathering them together since they would be the main force of the ambush.

Currently, it had only been over twenty years since the last great war, and both sides were still recuperating, with no plans for another major battle for the time being.

Once Su Yang organized his team, he sent out three Crystal Skulls to scout the situation on the Guardian God’s side.

This sort of reconnaissance wouldn’t raise any issues. Both sides had always been conducting minor reconnaissance missions; as long as there wasn’t a massive mobilization, neither side would pay much attention.

The reason everyone doubted Su Yang’s ambush would succeed was that such an ambush required a massive force to strike, which would undoubtedly alert the enemy, making the ambush unsuccessful.

The three Crystal Skulls spent over a decade gathering sufficient intelligence on the enemy’s situation.

Based on the information relayed by the three Crystal Skulls, Su Yang conducted a thorough analysis and ultimately selected the target point for the ambush.

This stronghold was a very important one for the Guardian God, housing roughly thirty percent of their forces, along with many of the Guardian God’s powerhouses and core members.

It could be said that if this stronghold was ambushed, the Guardian God would definitely suffer a great blow.

Therefore, this stronghold was extremely important to the Guardian God.

Having selected the target for the ambush, Su Yang began his deployment.

His forces were already picked out, so next was arranging the specific details of the ambush.

He gathered everyone around and laid out the specific plans for the ambush.

However, nobody took it very seriously. After all, in their view, it was impossible to even get close to the place—how could there be an ambush?

Among them was the Immortal Venerable, who scoffed at Su Yang’s serious arrangements, considering them mere folly. Before they even got close, the enemy would notice them; what was the point of such arrangements?

Su Yang, however, paid them no mind. After reminding them about the ambush arrangements several times, he stated boldly, ”Everyone, this ambush is of great significance to us. I hope you keep my arrangements in mind, and be sure not to make any mistakes. And let me remind you, if this ambush fails due to anyone’s mistake, leading to less than expected results, don’t blame me for being merciless!”

Everyone exchanged glances, many of them secretly laughing. Su Yang’s plan was fine, but the question was, could he really pull off the ambush?

”Su Alliance Leader, if we don’t even get close before the enemy reacts, who’s going to take the blame?” the Immortal Venerable shouted.

”If we can’t get close, I’ll take the blame!” Su Yang replied straightforwardly.

”Great!” the Immortal Venerable immediately applauded, laughing loudly, ”Su Alliance Leader truly is responsible, we’re impressed!”

Everyone else was secretly amused. The Immortal Venerable seemed to be praising Su Yang, but was actually setting him up for failure—everyone knew it was impossible to get close, yet he was taking the blame? Wasn’t that asking for trouble?

Su Yang seemingly didn’t notice anything, looking calmly at everyone as he stated boldly, ”Alright, does anyone else have questions?”

Everyone shook their heads, for now, the biggest question was how he planned to cover up the forthcoming embarrassment.

”No questions? Then let’s set off!” Su Yang took out a Chaos Gourd, saying, ”Next, I’ll need to trouble everyone to temporarily enter this Chaos Gourd!”

Everyone looked at the Chaos Gourd, and one person scoffed, ”Su Alliance Leader, you’re not trying to use this Chaos Gourd to block the Guardian God’s divine sense, are you? It won’t work! With so many of us, the energy is too strong for the Chaos Gourd to block!”

”I know!” Su Yang replied calmly, ”However, I’m not planning to block their divine sense with the Chaos Gourd. You just need to go inside, and leave the rest to me!”

They all looked at each other in confusion, wondering what Su Yang was planning.

Despite the confusion, none of them asked further questions, and they sequentially entered the Chaos Gourd.

With the Chaos Gourd safely stored, Su Yang flew out of the Nine Realms, heading towards the Guardian God’s stronghold.

Of course, Su Yang didn’t approach the stronghold directly. If he got too close, the Guardian God would immediately notice him.

Reaching the central region, Su Yang stopped. The distance to the stronghold was still substantial, beyond the range of the Guardian God’s divine sense.

However, moving further forward would not evade the Guardian God’s detection.

Su Yang chose an uninhabited area, setting up an array, and then summoned the illusion within himself.

No one knew that Su Yang’s ambush relied on a crucial precondition: his ability to use Instant Teleportation to transport everyone to the Guardian God’s side.

The Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book recorded the method of Instant Teleportation, which would consume seventy percent of Su Yang’s power, allowing them to instantly move to another location.

For this ambush, Su Yang simply needed to teleport to the stronghold, then release the powerhouses from the Chaos Gourd to catch the Guardian God by surprise!

Su Yang hadn’t used this method before because the timing wasn’t right, and his power wasn’t sufficient.

At first, he was at the low-level basic stage, with a short teleportation range, making the plan unfeasible.

Now that he had advanced to the intermediate stage, with teleportation range increased multiple folds, the plan was possible.

He certainly wouldn’t disclose this to the Immortal Venerable or others, since he needed to keep some aces up his sleeve to command respect.

With everything in place, Su Yang utilized the secret technique for Instant Teleportation.

This secret technique would still consume seventy percent of Su Yang’s power. However, the distance covered changed drastically, far exceeding past limitations.

In a single breath, Su Yang appeared within the Guardian God’s stronghold.

The Guardian God was caught completely off guard; no one expected Su Yang to suddenly materialize there, and they hadn’t sensed a thing.

Yet, Su Yang swiftly opened the Chaos Gourd, releasing all the powerhouses within.

Surprised, the powerhouses emerged from the Chaos Gourd, bewildered at how Su Yang had managed to bring them to the Guardian God’s front without detection. This was truly an ambush!
