Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang never knew the Heavenly War Alliance was in such a state, no wonder Dao Xuan had specially warned him not to approach it when he mentioned the Heavenly War Alliance earlier. Now, Su Yang finally understood what was going on.

”I never thought it would be like this!” Su Yang thought of the time he passed by the planet of the Heavenly War Alliance and fully believed the old man’s words. The people in the Heavenly War Alliance are incredibly arrogant and domineering. Su Yang was only passing by, and they wanted to kill him. It’s easy to imagine what their attitude towards others must be!

”In the Human Clan, there’s never a shortage of those who want to step on others,” the old man whispered. ”Now, many people in different worlds feel proud for being able to join the Heavenly War Alliance. Not for anything else, but because once they join, they can flaunt their power in other worlds. But when they truly face the Guardian Gods and Demon Beast Clan, they all cower. For so many years, the only one that could truly contend with the Guardian Gods and Demon Beast Clan is Dao Ji’s Tao Sect. Over these years, Dao Ji has saved countless worlds, far beyond your imagination.”

”Tao Sect!” Su Yang nodded slowly, feeling even more admiration for Dao Ji. To fight against the Guardian Gods and Demon Beast Clan alone is truly not something ordinary people can accomplish. Dao Ji is now perhaps the hope of the Human World.

”I mentioned Earth-level Spiritual Energy and Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy to you just now; next, I’ll tell you about farming,” the old man said. ”After the Heavenly Dao and Earth Principle collapsed, the Guardian Gods’ inheritance was the first to be activated. Now the Guardian Gods have found the foundation of the former Heavenly Dao, but the Heavenly Dao is heavily shattered and cannot be restored. So, they thought of using the Earth Principle to repair the Heavenly Dao. However, the Earth Principle was shattered as well, but at that time, the Heavenly Warriors protected the Earth Principle, and when the Earth Principle shattered, the Heavenly Warriors sent it into the Land of Chaos—the birthplace of worlds. Later, people found that in newly born worlds, the Earth Principle existed. It means the Land of Chaos included the shattered Earth Principle into the newly born worlds.”

”So, the Guardian Gods began to attack the Human World to seize the Earth Principle. But after tens of thousands of years of upheaval, they discovered that even if they destroyed a world, they couldn’t obtain the Earth Principle. Because within the Earth Principle, there is power left behind by the Heavenly Warriors, which the Guardian Gods cannot acquire from the worlds. However, the Human Clan can release the Earth Principle in the world through cultivation.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yang was suddenly shocked, and he began to understand what so-called farming truly meant.

Seeing the change in Su Yang’s expression, the old man smiled and said, ”What? Understood a bit? Yes, just as you thought. The so-called farming actually refers to using the lives of the Human Clan to release the Earth Principle within the world, helping the Guardian Gods acquire it. Ordinary farming is simple, where Guardian Gods send Beast Tamers to drive Fierce Beasts to attack some worlds, forcing people in those worlds to continuously cultivate and fully release the Earth Principle within the world. When the Earth Principle in a world is released to a certain extent, the Guardian Gods will come to destroy that world and seize the Earth Principle. The so-called fruit of farming refers to the Earth Principle that emerges from a world, which is the true thing the Guardian Gods need!”

Su Yang took a deep breath, finally understanding what farming was about, and his heart was truly quite hopeless.

Just as that person in the Holy Martial Realm mentioned, in farming worlds, lives are like plowing oxen. They believe their cultivation is effective—that through cultivation, they can protect their world and fully resist the dangers from the Endless Starry Sky.

But now, Su Yang realized that no matter how they cultivated, it was useless. The faster they cultivated, the nearer they came to their doomsday. Because the faster they cultivated, the more Earth Principle they released. When the Earth Principle is released to a certain degree, the Guardian Gods come to take it away and destroy the world.

To put it bluntly, no matter how people in a world cultivate, they will eventually be destroyed by the Guardian Gods. From the very beginning, their fate has been ordained.

”So, does this mean all worlds in the cosmos are targets of the Guardian Gods?” Su Yang asked in a deep voice.

”You can say that,” the old man said. ”But the Guardian Gods do not necessarily need all the Earth Principles. They are only using the Earth Principles to repair the Heavenly Dao, not to acquire all of them.”

”Besides, this Great World is not ruled solely by the Guardian Gods. Didn’t I tell you earlier, there are four forces in this Great World? The Guardian Gods, Demon Beast Clan, Heavenly War Alliance, and the Tao Sect. The Guardian Gods and Demon Beast Clan divide the newly born worlds, and the Heavenly War Alliance occasionally seizes a few new worlds. The Tao Sect may not often intervene, but when it truly decides to protect a world, neither the Guardian Gods nor Demon Beast Clan, nor the Heavenly War Alliance would confront the Tao Sect harshly.”

At this point, the old man sighed and said, ”But that’s just the current situation. Ultimately, the Guardian Gods are likely to control everything. Currently, their power isn’t enough, so they have to compromise with the other three forces. However, the Guardian Gods still have the Ancient Guardian God’s inheritance, and their strength has always been the strongest among the four. Once they repair the Heavenly Dao, they will completely control everything. At that time, all life across the Three Thousand Great Worlds will become slaves to the Guardian Gods, trampled underfoot completely!”

Su Yang gritted his teeth, barely daring to imagine what the fate of the Three Thousand Great Worlds would be if the Guardian Gods completely repaired the Heavenly Dao.

Regardless of the Demon Beast Clan or the Human Clan, they will be driven like cattle by the Guardian Gods. I fear their fate at that time will be worse than it is now.

”If that’s the case, why doesn’t the Demon Beast Clan rebel?” Su Yang asked. ”The Demon Beast Clan, combined with the Heavenly War Alliance and the Tao Sect, could totally resist the Guardian Gods! Why don’t they rebel? Why wait for them to repair the Heavenly Dao, and completely control everything, making resistance impossible?”

The old man glanced at Su Yang and whispered, ”Young man, you still don’t quite understand what I’ve been saying.”

”Huh?” Su Yang was taken aback, unsure what the old man meant by this.
