Supreme Warrior in the City

Hearing some commotion, these people were startled awake and opened their eyes wide to look over.

Staring at Su Yang for a moment, suddenly, one of them let out a hoarse roar, and the others jumped up and charged at Su Yang howling.

Seeing this situation, Su Yang felt his scalp prickling with fear.

How many of such people are there in here? Su Yang glanced around, estimating roughly over a thousand.

These people, like ghosts, were shrieking and plunging toward Su Yang. Judging by their demeanor, they seemed intent on biting through Su Yang’s neck and draining every drop of his blood.

These dehydrated people, like those desperately thirsty in the desert, paid no heed to anything else, longing only to find something to drink. And the blood in Su Yang’s body was the only water source they could find at the moment.

Seeing these people closing in menacingly, how could Su Yang dare delay? He immediately struck out, repelling the few at the forefront.

However, there were still over a thousand people here. Even after knocking a few back, the others continued charging forward without pause.

These people had nothing personal against Su Yang, nor was it any other problem — they were simply too thirsty, desperate to drink Su Yang’s blood. Thus, this wasn’t a matter of hatred nor something that Su Yang’s show of power could resolve.

In fact, Su Yang had no doubt that even if he killed these people, the rest would still frenzy onward. These people had been driven mad by the torture of this dungeon; they cared not about life or death, only desperate to drink water to momentarily alleviate their immediate pain.

Knocking a few people back, Su Yang quickly dashed to the nearby stone wall, tapping several times with his toes against it to propel himself into the air, gripping onto a protruding rock, suspending himself momentarily.

The people below, having been deprived of water for too long, were not as agile as Su Yang. They could not jump up, only standing below, stretching their hands as if trying to grasp Su Yang.

Looking at these people below, Su Yang couldn’t help but think of the zombie apocalypse stories he’d seen. These people really resembled zombies that had lost their minds, left with nothing but bloodthirsty instincts.

And these people’s tragedy was entirely due to the Heavenly War Alliance. At this moment, Su Yang’s heart was filled with extreme loathing for this so-called Heavenly War Alliance.

Su Yang didn’t know what relation this Heavenly War Alliance had with the Heavenly Warriors he knew of. However, deep inside, Su Yang had already placed this Heavenly War Alliance on par with the Demon Beast Clan and the Guardian God.

The members of this Heavenly War Alliance were all from the Human Clan, and the ruthlessness they displayed toward their fellow humans was more terrifying than the Demon Beast Clan and the Guardian God. At the very least, the Demon Beast Clan and the Guardian God were not of the same race; their attacks were straightforward, allowing for a swift end. However, the torturous methods of this Heavenly War Alliance were utterly atrocious!

If these people were all villains deserving their torment, that would be one thing. But Su Yang himself was thrown in here without any reason. Thus, he had every reason to suspect that the Heavenly War Alliance tossed people into the dungeon purely based on their whims, nothing more!

The commotion below lasted for quite a while. Seeing that they couldn’t reach Su Yang, they gradually dispersed.

Su Yang then let out a sigh of relief, scanning the crowd, contemplating whether to find someone to ask about the situation. He had recently arrived and was not familiar with the situation here; at the very least, he needed to find someone to understand what this Heavenly War Alliance was all about.

After surveying the crowd, Su Yang finally selected an elderly man who appeared to be very old. Perhaps due to his old age, he couldn’t move conveniently, and when the others charged forward earlier, he merely sat crippled in the distance and didn’t attack Su Yang.

Such an elder might know more about the situation.

After pondering for a moment, Su Yang seized a moment when the crowd below wasn’t paying attention, suddenly jumping down and swiftly moving in front of the old man, grabbing him quickly.

The others, seeing Su Yang descended, immediately became agitated again, standing up and charging toward him.

Su Yang dared not delay, brought the old man along, sprinting ahead frantically, rushing into the darkness in the distance.

Taking advantage of the fact that the people behind hadn’t caught up, Su Yang retrieved the Space Artifact hidden within his body, directly storing the old man inside it. After that, he found another place to temporarily evade the attacks of these people.

The commotion below persisted for a little while. Seeing that they couldn’t do anything to Su Yang, they gradually retreated. None of them noticed that the old man was already gone.

In fact, none of these people here would care about others. Not to mention the old man was gone; even if Su Yang killed him in front of everyone, nobody would care. These people were numb, turning into something like walking corpses.

Su Yang crouched on a protruding rock, waiting patiently. He knew he wouldn’t be kept here for long. After all, the elder would still need to take him to the Earth Origin Realm and wouldn’t keep him here indefinitely.

Sure enough, after waiting less than two hours, the door above the dungeon opened. Immediately, a guard peeked in, glanced at Su Yang, and with a flick captured Su Yang’s neck, dragging him out of the dungeon.

A woman was standing outside the dungeon at this moment. Seeing Su Yang dragged out unscathed, she was surprised.

”What happened?” the woman asked coldly.

”He was squatting on the stone ledge beside, and the prisoners below couldn’t reach him!” the guard replied.

”Quite clever, aren’t you?” the woman sneered coldly. ”But next time, if you come back, I’ll break your legs and throw you in again. Let’s see how clever you can be then!”

Su Yang frowned. This woman was truly malicious. I didn’t get hurt because of my own skills, and yet you’re so dissatisfied?

”Miss, I have no grievance with you. Why do you treat me like this?” Su Yang couldn’t help but ask.

”I find you annoying, is that not reason enough?” the woman replied coldly. ”Who do you think you are, daring to pass by the world near my Heavenly War Alliance? Frankly, someone like you should just be killed. If my master hadn’t needed you alive, you would’ve been dead already, without any right to say these words to me?”

Su Yang kept silent, realizing it boiled down to having no grievance, but since I don’t like you, I want to deal with you. Is there anything to say to people like this?

The woman glanced coldly at Su Yang, taking him as she flew out of the dungeon.

By this time, two individuals were already guarding the air, precisely the elder and the man from before.
