Supreme Warrior in the City

”Big Brother, are you... are you sure you want to hunt this Sky-covering Sparrow?” Long Qiu shivered.

”Is there any question?” Su Yang countered, ”Do you think we lack the strength to battle the Sky-covering Sparrow?”

”Well... that’s not it...” Long Qiu hesitated for a moment and whispered, ”The problem is, you... you can’t kill the Sky-covering Sparrow...”

”Why?” Su Yang asked with a frown.

Long Qiu: ”The Sky-covering Sparrow is the commander of this region, under the jurisdiction of the Six Trigrams Saint Venerable. If you hunt the Sky-covering Sparrow, then... then it’s tantamount to declaring war on the Six Trigrams Saint Venerable, and the Six Trigrams Saint Venerable will certainly not let you off...”

”What the hell?” Su Yang widened his eyes, suddenly realizing that the situation in this Endless Starry Sky wasn’t as simple as he thought.

”Six Trigrams Saint Venerable...” Long Qiu said, ”The Six Trigrams Saint Venerable is the king of the Holy Beasts in this region, with over seventy Holy Beasts under its command. If you attempt to hunt the Sky-covering Sparrow, you’ll anger the Six Trigrams Saint Venerable!”

”Wait, these... these Holy Beasts have a king?” Su Yang was shocked. He always assumed that Holy Beasts were isolated, each being the overlord of their own region. Who would’ve thought they were organized?

”Of course. Holy Beasts definitely have a king!” Long Qiu said. ”Not just Holy Beasts; in this region, we... we also have a king. We were originally governed by the Seven-tailed Fox. Now that the Seven-tailed Fox is dead, we should be under the command of the Sky-covering Sparrow!”

Su Yang was dumbfounded. This situation was completely unforeseen.

”Six Trigrams Saint Venerable?” Su Yang frowned, ”What kind of existence is that?”

”The so-called Saint Venerable is a realm one grade higher than the Holy Beast,” Long Qiu said. ”The Six Trigrams Saint Venerable is the king of Holy Beasts in this region. Seven-tailed Fox and Sky-covering Sparrow are Holy Beasts under its command!”

”Holy Beasts, is there such a rank?” Su Yang’s heart moved. If a Saint proceeds further, could they reach the level of Saint Venerable?

This thought ignited a flame in Su Yang’s heart. He had been pondering how to break through the Saint Realm and how to enter the next realm. Now, he finally saw hope.

”That’s how it is!” Long Qiu said.

”If that’s the case...” Su Yang pondered for a while and said, ”Would Beast Tamers still dare capture you in a disorderly fashion? Would this Six Trigrams Saint Venerable let such things happen?”

”Uh, this... that we do not know,” Long Qiu thought for a moment and said, ”In fact, most demon beasts caught by Beast Tamers are from the periphery. Demon Beasts truly governed by Holy Beasts are generally not captured by Beast Tamers.”

Su Yang furrowed his brow, Demon Beasts under the governance of Holy Beasts are not captured by Beast Tamers. Doesn’t that mean Beast Tamers also fear Holy Beasts, and even the Saint Venerable, avoiding conflicts with them?

Which means Beast Tamers are not truly lawless. Guardian Gods are far from being able to act recklessly. Not only could Heavenly Warriors contend with them, but powerful demon beasts also could oppose them.

”Big Brother, hunting outside for Sub-Saint Beasts poses no problem. However, those under Holy Beast governance, it’s best to avoid them,” Long Qiu said. ”To put it in terms of your world’s division, the Fifth Region and prior, including the Fifth Region, are technically outside Holy Beast territory. Those demon beasts are neither governed nor protected by Holy Beasts. So, no matter if you hunt them or Beast Tamers capture them, there won’t be any issue. Once you enter the Sixth Region, it’s different; this is Holy Beast territory and Saint Venerable’s land. If you indiscriminately hunt here, it will provoke Holy Beast retaliation!”

Su Yang furrowed his brow, thought for a while, then suddenly said, ”Why didn’t you mention this last time?”

”Uh…” Long Qiu felt embarrassed: ”Last time... I was unsure what you would do to me, so... I led you aimlessly...”

Su Yang almost kicked him, realizing this guy intended to trap them last time. Letting them randomly capture Sub-Saint Beasts was a ploy to anger Holy Beasts and draw them into conflict.

Now, the situation is entirely different. Su Yang and his party possess the strength to slay Holy Beasts. Should they kill one, prompting a counterattack in rage, Long Qiu, as the guide, wouldn’t escape the fallout, so he hurriedly explained everything clearly.

”How many things have you kept from me?” Su Yang angrily asked, finding Long Qiu utterly contemptible. Obviously, he’d need to deal with him properly later.

”No more, no more, I’ll never do it again…” Long Qiu quickly said.

Su Yang gritted his teeth, falling into silent contemplation.

If the circumstances are truly as Long Qiu described, then things are tricky. Su Yang and his party might not be able to train in the Sixth Region.

Unable to train there, they likely won’t be able to enhance their realm either.

Taking a deep breath, Su Yang began to calculate.

Nearby, there’s a powerful Saint Venerable representing the next realm for Saints. Should they be able to meet this Saint Venerable, wouldn’t Su Yang and his party have hope in enhancing their realm?

The problem is, how can they meet this Saint Venerable?

The realm of the Saint Venerable is above theirs. Should they encounter one, Su Yang and the other Saints likely wouldn’t stand a chance.

After pondering for a moment, Su Yang suddenly recalled something and curiously asked, ”According to what you say, last time the Sky-covering Sparrow killed the Seven-tailed Fox, wouldn’t the Six Trigrams Saint Venerable seek trouble with the Sky-covering Sparrow?”

”That’s unlikely!” Long Qiu shook his head, ”This is war between Holy Beasts; the Saint Venerable generally doesn’t intervene but instead encourages such happenings. However, should external forces target them, that’s an entirely different story.”

Su Yang pouted, realizing it’s only acceptable for their own kind to kill each other, but outsiders shouldn’t lay a finger on them.

The situation reached an awkward point.

Su Yang and his group arrived at the Sixth Region brimming with killing intent, initially planning to hunt some Holy Beasts to strengthen themselves.

Unexpectedly, the Holy Beasts here were organized. Unable to hunt Holy Beasts, their trip would be for naught.

More critically, without hunting Holy Beasts, how would they enhance their strength?

Unable to bolster their strength, how would they protect the Nine Realms?

Su Yang shared the matter with the others, who were equally shocked and helpless. Viewing the situation, they genuinely struggled to train in the Sixth Region.
