Outside Of Time

Chapter 1825: Fate UnifiedEditor: Atlas Studios

”Gods and Immortals were never the same.”

Xu Qing gazed at Purple Green as he spoke calmly.

”But the moment they abandoned Profound Earth’s path and chose to ascend... their essences became identical.”

”Thus, in the upper star rings, gods and immortals appear different yet share the same origin.”

”So... I will die, and so will you.”

”But more than death, I wish to see—at this level—whether your fate runs deeper or my dimensions stretch farther!”

Before his words faded, Xu Qing’s figure had already stepped forward, crossing hundreds of feet in an instant as he charged toward the Purple Green standing outside the hall.

The Purple Green outside the hall watched Xu Qing’s approaching form with cold indifference, remaining silent.

Meanwhile, the Purple Green inside the hall maintained his gentle demeanor, speaking softly as his voice traversed the main thread of fate to echo outside where tributary fates converged:

”Little Brother, what you seek... is also what I seek.”

”Destiny... overlaps!”

The moment these words were uttered, the expressionless Purple Green outside raised His right hand and pressed lightly toward the rapidly approaching Xu Qing.

With this motion, the power of fate descended soundlessly, manifesting an indescribable will that rippled around Xu Qing, forming layer upon layer of undulating scenes.

Within those ripples emerged countless images of Xu Qing himself—not parallel existences conjured through spacetime manipulation, but tributaries branching from the main river of his fate.

One might say these were infinite possibilities born from life’s natural decay!

Each possibility now materialized as a distinct tableau.

”Time never truly existed—it’s merely a concept mortals created to measure the decay of themselves and all things.”

”Thus, your spacetime... is flawed.”

”I do not measure by time.”

The Purple Green inside the hall spoke softly, his voice reaching beyond the walls to disturb the unfolding scenes.

The images teemed with contradictions—in some, Xu Qing battled foes; in others, at that same juncture of fate, he sat meditating.

Some showed his death at certain crossroads of fate, while others depicted him obtaining miraculous opportunities at those very moments.

There were scenes where loved ones faded away, and others where warmth and companionship endured.

This was the overlapping of fates!

Countless mutually exclusive fates now coexisted upon Xu Qing simultaneously.

These interwoven fates manifested around him as fragmented visions, within which his true form grew indistinct—as if being erased. Every movement spawned endless translucent afterimages that birthed new possibilities.

An infinite regression.

It was as though he was living countless lives at once.

In this state, every gesture—even each heartbeat—triggered storms of probability. His fate grew wildly unstable, liable to shift at any moment.

Beyond control!

The main thread of fate was being diluted by tributaries.

The true self was being usurped by other possibilities.

Only his voice remained steady amidst this dissolution:

”I’ve experienced something similar before.”

”My cultivation was never limited to time or space alone. The Ordinance I comprehend is...”

”Unification!”

”Time unified, space unified, spacetime unified, parallels unified—fate... also unified!”

As these words resounded, Xu Qing—now barely visible—raised his right hand.

The essence of his Ordinance Law erupted from his uplifted palm, forming a thread of unification that pierced outward, stringing together every fragment of fate in an instant—

Then his hand clenched violently!

All surrounding fate fragments trembled as their contents were forcibly rewritten—each now depicting Xu Qing precisely as he was in this present moment!

These rewritten visions then converged upon him, overlapping seamlessly with his form.

Because every image showed Xu Qing identical to his current self, this convergence didn’t create layered afterimages—but perfect fusion.

His fading form grew increasingly substantial, as though being redrawn with each superimposed frame.

When the final fragment vanished, the Xu Qing standing there appeared hyper-real—utterly defined!

His voice rang out:

”Descend!”

With this utterance, everything around him transformed!

Heaven and earth roared as ink-wash tones erupted from Xu Qing’s position—his Ordinance Law spreading outward like spilled pigment, staining reality itself!

The imperial palace, the capital city, the entire Sky Devouring Region—in this instant, as Xu Qing’s form clarified, all underwent drastic simplification.

The concept of height was stripped away; three-dimensional existence flattened. Everything became brushstrokes on a scroll in the blink of an eye.

This was... dimensional reduction!

Even the great hall and the cold-faced Purple Green outside were absorbed into the painting—

Leaving Xu Qing as the only splash of color standing upon the ink-wash landscape!

His right foot lifted like a displacing sky, descending toward the painted palace below.

This was another manifestation of Xu Qing’s Ordinance.

As his foot began its descent, the Purple Green before the hall in the painting looked up at the looming shadow that had replaced the heavens and spoke icily:

”In Peerless City, you died the first time—your lifespan was seven!”

With these words, Purple Green’s left eye reflected young Xu Qing’s form from Peerless City—

That image shattered instantly into seven silver threads materializing in the air.

Each thread represented one year.

”In Seven Blood Eyes, you encountered multiple transformations—five opportunities!”

The second proclamation echoed as Purple Green’s right eye projected Xu Qing’s experiences in Seven Blood Eyes, from which five golden butterflies emerged.

Each butterfly symbolized a pivotal moment!

”When the Empress altered fate, you died the second time—two calamities!”

With the third statement, a scene materialized in the void before Purple Green—Xu Qing’s death in the human imperial capital.

From that moment, two black chains flew forth!

”Today, I shall weave your years into silver threads, mold your opportunities into golden butterflies, and forge your calamities into death’s iron shackles—forming your Fate Butterfly...”

The images intertwined as silver, gold and black merged—forming a tri-colored butterfly!

Its emergence sent ripples through the ink-wash painting like wrinkles forming on parchment!

As the butterfly’s wings spread, color radiated outward, suffusing the monochrome landscape with vibrancy!

Then the butterfly shot skyward—

Melting the painted world in its wake, it soared higher until finally breaching the boundaries of the ink-wash realm!

The moment it emerged, cracks spread across the entire painting.

The tri-colored butterfly then multiplied endlessly, a swarm darkening the skies as they all surged toward Xu Qing!

In Xu Qing’s perception, each butterfly felt intimately connected to him—as though every one was a version of himself!

Simultaneously, as the ink-wash painting crumbled, the Purple Green’s voice resonated from within the hall:

”With your Fate Butterflies, I forge your Cage of Fate!”

”Imprison!”
