Beastmaster of the Ages

”Fine, leave it to me,” Li Tianzi said.

Tianming and Mu Qingqing left after hearing his affirmative answer. The two of them zipped through the clouds and storms towards the Ruinless Zone. Yin Chen had basically spread through every part of the Inverse Battlefield in the past couple decades, so it was able to tell how things in it changed after word of the bet spread out. It was the biggest and most exciting bet in the history of the Realm of Chaos! To most normal folks, Tianming’s imprisonment in the Yueling Starcage wasn’t that interesting. It was only a nightmare for those of Nullity. But if Nullity won, things would really blow up. The question now was whether the peace in the Realm of Chaos would hold if the four imperatores really bore Tianming children.

”Imperator Skyplunder and the four imperatores of Yueling Starcage would become family, which would make them unrivaled in terms of troops and elites!” While many spectators were excited about the prospect, they believed that Nullity had basically no chance of victory.

”Many cosmic gods near the Ruinless Zone have gone to take a spot. It’ll take quite a while for those of us in the Violetmoon Chaos Star Ruin to get there...” No doubt, Tianming’s supporters would be the minority among the crowd, not that he cared. After ten or so days, Yin Chen gave him a more detailed report.

”How is it? How many troops did they send?” Tianming asked, mounted on Meow Meow. Mu Qingqing nervously came close to listen.

Calmly, Yin Chen said, ”The violetblitzians... sent all... primocosmic gods... under ten... thousand years... old there.”

”That’s around forty-five then,” Mu Qingqing said.

”That many?” Tianming felt a bit tongue tied. Even among the flameyellow voidkin, Mushan Feng was the only one who became a primocosmic god under ten thousand years old! ”Forget it. I suppose it’s not unreasonable considering our relative might. The Flameyellow have at least a hundred who are close to primocosmic gods, not to mention heavencosmic gods tenth level and above in the Realm of Order aren’t necessarily weaker than primocosmic gods in the Realm of Chaos. What about Yueling Starcage?”

”They sent... the hundred... strongest of... primocosmic gods...”

That would put the number at 145, most of whom would be stronger than Yueling Momo. Some might even be taller than thirty thousand meters. ”It seems that they must think I’m some kind of big shot to send so many out to get me.”

Mu Qingqing said, ”They don’t know that you’re going to fight. Otherwise, they would’ve sent out all primocosmic gods that are young enough.”

”That’s true.” At the very least, this was something that Tianming could accept. ”Alright, hundred plus it is. With enough time, I’ll be able to take them down.”

”Did you... think this... was all? I’m not... even done...” Yin Chen said.

Hearing that made Mu Qingqing nervous. ”Are they going to send troops as well?”

”Both sides.. are sending... one billion... heavencosmic gods! All are... age appropriate...”

”Damn...” Both Tianming and Mu Qingqing were floored. Heavencosmic gods were at least a thousand meters tall, and there were one billion of them! ”According to the rules, I’ll have to defeat all of them and collect their tokens for the bet to count, right?”

”Sounds like that, yes,” Mu Qingqing said weakly.

”Isn’t that too many enemies?” How long would it take for him to slay more than a billion enemies?

”If all four of their imperatores agree to surrender, it also counts. We can also do the same.”

”Got it... Then again, they’re doing this because they think we’ll be sending out primocosmic and heavencosmic gods too. If they only send primocosmic gods, we’d still be able to swarm them and thin their numbers.”

”If they had known that you would be fighting alone, they wouldn’t send one billion heavencosmic gods in there, right?”

Tianming shook his head. ”It’s impossible. The Ruinless Zone is vast, and even if they won’t be able to take me down with my skypole stars, they can wear away at me. One billion people means one billion pairs of eyes, so they can keep track of me. Skypole stars also have a limit and they’ll eventually be drained out.”

”This is troubling... It’s a long battle of contrition.”

”It’s fine... By the way, can I leave in between? If not, I won’t be able to return to the Realm of Order to make breakthroughs.”

”The rules don’t say you can’t leave, but if you’re there alone, leaving is akin to surrendering if there’s nobody to hold the fort.”

”Then I need someone to go with me. There has to be enough so that they can survive long enough during my absences.” If Tianming couldn’t leave to make breakthroughs, he wouldn’t be able to defeat them either.

”But we don’t have someone like that. Even if there was, they’d be crushed if they’re discovered. This person needs to be as talented and powerful as you are to be able to endure,” Mu Qingqing said.

”So, Li Muyang knew that I could qualify and made the bet without knowing whether I’d win anyway?” Tianming felt a headache brewing.

”This is troubling...” Mu Qingqing furrowed her brows.

Though, Tianming wasn’t as worried as she was. He thought of someone. He should be able to go with me and hold the fort for me. With that taken care of, he continued towards the Ruinless Zone. Li Tianzi didn’t tag along as he was busy gathering dazzling radiances for him, so Tianming would end up going to the battle alone with Mu Qingqing’s clone.

The Inverse Battlefield got more and more rowdy as time passed. When Tianming was close to the Ruinless Zone, the enemy’s billion-man army had arrived. Yueling Starcage sent seven hundred million heavencosmic gods while the violetblitzians sent three hundred million! Their troops arrived first as they had been stationed closer to the Ruinless Zone. Apart from the fighters from both sides, there were tens of billions of spectators here to watch the show. Only a small minority of them were from Nullity.
