Beastmaster of the Ages

Yumo Dinai’s demonic-bull-mask face and six irises painted a picture of vile resentment, especially when paired with the thick white smoke that came from his nostrils. The other eminents of House Yumo stared death at the Sun and Ebonia.

”The truth has finally been revealed. The disaster that befell the Hellfiend and twenty of your eminents has something to do with Li Tianming! The fact that someone in Infinitum managed to kill Eminent Baigui means that some kind of secret lies here that not even we are aware of,” Qitian Muyue said.

They had never dreamed that they would unearth such a shocking discovery. Before this, they had only heard of Infinitum by name and didn’t quite believe what was alleged to have transpired there. But seeing a unique world like the Sun completely cleared their doubts.

”Whatever the secret is, we’ll immediately learn it once we charge in and begin killing.” Qitian Muyue turned and looked at the wonderians. ”Speak! Which nova source world does Li Tianming’s family, friends, and associates live in?”

Her murderous gaze made the wonderians feel like the force of stars themselves were pressing down on their heads. They paled even more, unable to utter a word, and helplessly turned to look at the Sun.

”Then, why aren’t you leading us in right away?” she snapped. She couldn’t wait a single moment longer to get her hands on Tianming’s weakness. Despite the apparent closeness of the worlds, they would still need some time to travel through the vast distances of the astralscape, so she didn’t want to dally even the slightest bit.

The fact that the wonderians hadn’t brought them straight to where Tianming’s loved ones were, and instead led them out into the astralscape, was enough to cause all the eminents’ killing intent to surge.

However, they needed to rely on the wonderians on the way back, so Qitian Muyue didn’t kill them. The wonderians knew, however, that they would be killed once their job was finished. There was nothing they could do but enter the Xenoworld once more and exit from a marker placed on the Sun.

Near the Sky Palace Formation, a storm of yellow sand brewed. It’d been less than a century since the Sun had become an ether-class world. Tianming was in no rush to let his subjects repopulate the land yet, so he’d only had some temporary dwellings constructed. As such, the Sun appeared rather desolate.

Though the sights weren’t impressive, the population of the world thrived. Many people from other worlds in the Infinitum Mundus had immigrated to the Sun once the omnisentient threads in Infinitum formed a network!

Ten powerful Qitian beastmasters and ten Yumo specters emerged from a vortex to the Xenoworld into the Sun. The moment they did, they wildly spread their cosmoforce all over the place, sealing off the nearest population centers and taking control of the Sun.

”It smells like springwater from the Myriadpath Sourcespring....” Yumo Dinai immediately smelled it; it was a very light hint of a smell, but it wouldn’t escape his notice. ”That’s proof that this is absolutely Li Tianming’s home! There’s no way any other outer mundi cultivator would have that much springwater.”

”His loved ones are all within that crappy formation, right?” Qitian Muyue looked down on the Sky Palace Formation with a full sense of superiority. The wonderians could do naught but timidly nod, shaking and sweating the whole way.

”Hehehe.... To think that it would turn out right under our noses where we least expected it!” Yumo Dinai turned around and looked at the specters. This was the mundus where twenty of their brethren had perished. They were itching to take revenge.

”Li Tianming must have something to do with the culprit that killed our eminents and destroyed the Hellfiend. The culprit is a great nemesis of Myriadpath Valley! We need to gather proof. Once we return, we’ll be able to mobilize the entire valley to end him! If Suishen Jiguang and Suishen Xiyue dare to protect him, they’ll be prosecuted as well!” the specter roared.

”Li Tianming does have very high renown back there. However, this stain on his record will be enough to make his supporters lose heart. He’ll plummet from prominence right there!” Qitian Muyue had never dreamed that she would have to go up against a brat not much older than a hundred.

”That’s right!” Yumo Dinai felt much better. They wouldn’t just get Tianming, but also manage to slaughter the foes of House Yumo and Myriadpath Valley! If they could pin the deaths of the eminents on him, it would mean that he had taken treasonous actions against Myriadpath Valley; assuming they could find proof of it, at least—enough to make his defenders despair!

”Do it.” Qitian Muyue didn’t want to say much else and stretched her hand out toward the Sky Palace Formation before lightly tapping on the green bird on her shoulder. It let out an ear-piercing shriek that shook the flaming clouds above as it reverberated across the Sun, causing endless flaming rain to fall! Instantly, everyone in the Sun noticed the change.

”What’s going on?”

”What kind of sound was that?”

They turned and looked to the sky. In their hearts, only the Galactic Emperor could possibly make their entire world shake like that.

Above the Sky Palace Formation, green flames covered the sky and surrounded the entire formation. They burned tens of times brighter than the normal flaming clouds.

”Wait, the flaming clouds don’t normally turn green....”

”It’s a bird?! A phoenix!”

Their jaws were wide agape as they struggled to breathe. Even though they were rather powerful beings on the Sun, they soon realized that a phoenix was covering the Sky Palace Formation. Every single feather on its body looked as large as a continent. It was covered in green flames all over and its two eyes looked like two nova source worlds!

”What a huge lifebound beast!”

”Heavens....”

Countless lifebound beasts within the formation cried out in despair from the sheer power of the phoenix’s bloodline. Myriadpath sourcebeasts fed on all lifebound beasts! Qitian Muyue’s ninesource beast had consumed trillions of them, at the very least, putting it squarely at the top of the food chain. Other lifebound beasts would all feel an instinctual terror deep within at the sight of their predator.
