Beastmaster of the Ages

”No matter what, what we found in the secret room is far better than we expected! I couldn’t be more surprised!” Tianming said.

”That’s right! Even if we are limited to only using it within the Flameyellow Guard Formation, a range that’s even shorter than your Omnisentient Threads’, it’s more than enough to defend the Sun. If Yi Daiyan comes to attack us, we brothers will be able to take her on!” Xiaodao declared.

”Wow, since when were you two brothers?” Tianming said, eyes widening.

”Well, Brother Lin and I are absolutely smitt— wait, that came out wrong. Obsess— wait, that’s not it either! I’m just not cultured enough to express what I mean, but you get it!” Wudi awkwardly stammered.

The divine puppet had to be constantly powered while in use, so it couldn’t be used on Ebonia. However, Tianming would still be connected to his Omnisentient Threads there, given its current distance from the Sun. Wudi, on the other hand, would be confined to the Flameyellow Guard Formation, and not even the entire Sun where the puppet and coffin were concerned. Even so, Tianming felt much more secure now that his godfather could look out for his back, giving him the freedom to look for other opportunities.

”The upcoming clash between Yi Daiyan and Shenxi Xingtian will be absolutely crucial.” Tianming could focus his attention solely on growing with two reliable seniors to count on.

”My good disciple, how’s Granddaddy Yin Chen doing back on Ebonia?” Xiaodao asked.

”I had all the Yin Chens in the Xenoabyss return and spread them near the Sun. It has about ninety billion bodies in total right now, and I’m having those in Ebonia create more copies of themselves,” Tianming said.

The current upper limit Yin Chen could have was a hundred billion bodies, but it couldn’t infiltrate Ebonia now that its astralguard formation was up. However, the ones that were already there could still create more copies of themselves as long as there were enough divine ores to consume and Tianming destroyed copies that were outside Ebonia, freeing up more of that quota. That was how they were planning on sending more Yin Chens there.

”How many are on Ebonia right now?” Xiaodao asked.

”Almost ten billion, currently.” Tianming had destroyed about that many Yin Chens on his side for that to be possible, but it wasn’t a big deal. All he had to do was get the Yin Chens to turn into eight-starred ladybugs, which could self-destruct. ”However, the Yin Chens on Ebonia only have star counts of three hundred thousand, so they aren’t evolved. They aren’t as efficient as the ones I have here with me.”

”It’s fine. It’ll be more than enough as long as they can hide and gather intel. Ideally, I want around fifty billion of them, but thirty billion should cut it.”

”It’s fine. I’ll detonate a Yin Chen here for every one that’s made on Ebonia.” Yin Chen itself felt a little speechless about being asked to constantly self-destruct. Divine ores were rich in abundance within Ebonia, and while the Swordgod Lin Clan had fled the world, allowing the Infinitum Swordsea to be conquered, the ore veins there hadn’t been taken over yet due to the state of war. As such, Yin Chen was able to continually consume the ores there to reproduce.

”I heard that Yi Daiyan’s next goal is to secure the regal clans and all the smaller peak clans, then consolidate their forces against the ebons on all fronts,” Xiaodao said.

”That’s right. Yin Chen said that she’s basically achieved that much already. The ebons are being stretched thin as more and more of the populace side with the Infinitum Bodhimanda. The total forces of the non-regal clans amount up to three times as much as the ebons’. She’s achieved almost complete dominance!” Everyone supporting Yi Daiyan was quite a terrifying prospect to consider.

”How many times bigger than our forces is that?” Wudi asked.

”If we look at the number of astral gods, she’s got at least ten times as many as we do. Our forces are mainly made up of a single regal clan, after all, while they’re a combined force of eleven regal clans. Even the sanctlighters, who no longer have a single ether-class ship remaining, were willing to submit to Yi Daiyan’s command,” Tianming said.

”So, their elite forces alone are stronger than astralships, huh....” Wudi said.

”Well, if you consider the Infinitum Stele, then yeah. That alone is far more powerful than most elites can muster,” Xiaodao said.

”Considering all that, helping the ebons will expose us to a huge risk. The ebons are also hiding and withdrawing. If we carelessly step into this, we’ll only suffer for it,” Wudi said.

”That’s right.” At the end of the day, all they could do was watch.

”Yi Daiyan’s current strategy is to unite all the forces in the Infinitum Bodhimanda into one anti-ebon alliance. At the same time, she’s also started personally exterminating the infinitum-class nova wildbeasts of the ebons,” Tianming said.

”Did she manage to find it?” Xiaodao asked.

”Not for the moment. Shenxi Xingtian knew that she was looking for them, so he had them hide as far away as he could.”

”I heard that most of the infinitum-class nova wildbeasts can’t be stored within fauna worldstones,” Wudi said.

”That’s right. The bloodline wisteria, for instance, makes the entirety of Ebonia’s underworld its home. Its influence stretches across the entire planet and the location of its weak point is completely unknown,” Xiaodao said.

”That sure does make it hard to kill! Looks like Yi Daiyan will be having a hard time with it. Now that she’s got Shenxi Xingtian in desperate straits, he’s using those beasts to slaughter innocent civilians,” Wudi said.

”The billions are just the start!” Xiaodao said. The casualty count was already on the level of the extermination of both Skywolf Stars. The only difference was that most of Ebonia’s populace were gods.

”Actually, Yin Chen managed to find one of them,” Tianming suddenly said.

”Huh?” Both Wudi and Xiaodao were surprised.

”Yin Chen found one of Shenxi Xingtian’s infinitum-class nova wildbeasts. It should be the taixi fiendbeast, if I’m not mistaken, the strongest soul beast of the ebons. It’s incredibly huge and hiding under the Taixi Guard Formation.”

Deep underground in Ebonia, the ebons had two large bases, both of which were protected by ether-class divine formations. One of them was the Taixi Guard Formation, while the other was the Ebonfiend Guard Formation. Shenxi Xingtian’s Ebonfiend was protected within the latter, while his two wives stood guard within the former. The wives, Xuanxi and Ling’e, also happened to be Shenxi Xingtian’s elder and younger sisters, respectively.

”Taixi fiendbeast? That infinitum-class wildbeast is the one that’s been on the best terms with the ebons for generations,” Xiaodao said.

”That’s right.” Shenxi Xingtian had spared quite a bit of effort to subjugate the other infinitum-class wildbeasts. However, the taixi fiendbeast only ever formed relationships with the strongest of ebon elites, but never actually submitted to them.
