Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You

Vol 8. Chapter 56: Return of the Hardcore Dragon-Girl Maniac!

A few days later, Leon and Rosvisser set out for the Blazing Sun Clan with Muse. Xiaoxue said she didn’t like crowded occasions like that, so she stayed home to look after the house and do some cleaning.

Neither of them insisted. The gloomy girl had always been a bit shy and quiet anyway.

After several hours of flight, the family of three arrived at Blazing Sun City at dusk.

At the gates, an honor guard stood waiting to welcome the visiting dragons. As they landed, Leon wrapped an arm around Muse’s waist and, together with Rosvisser, entered the city surrounded by the escort.

Unlike their last visit, Blazing Sun City was ablaze with lanterns and banners this time, the air thick with festivity.

It seemed that the solar eclipse really was a major holiday for them.

Following their hosts, the family was led to the reception hall, where quite a few dragon guests had already gathered. Leon scanned the crowd—all familiar faces.

“Claudia, Headmaster Wilson, the Tower Lord, Morgan... even Odin showed up this time. The one who never attends social events.”

Leon raised a brow. “Well, look at that. The Blazing Sun Clan sure knows how to pull a crowd.”

Rosvisser smiled. “They are descendants of one of the original deities—Apollo himself. A little respect is only natural.”

“Maybe so,” Leon said, “but I bet the academy helped coordinate this behind the scenes. That’s probably how they convinced Odin to come. Come on, let’s say hello.”

Leon nodded and walked over with Rosvisser.

Old friends exchanged greetings—formalities were kept short.

Claudia looked around the hall, then asked:

“Leon, Rosvisser, where’s Isha? I remember the academy sent her an invitation too.”

“Oh, my sister’s out at sea with Valendna, the Wind Dragon King—sightseeing, apparently. She’s due back by the end of the month.”

Claudia narrowed her eyes with a teasing smile:

“Those two seem close. I remember Isha used to be as much a workaholic as you, Leon—never set foot outside.”

Rosvisser chuckled:

“They’ve only grown close recently. They were just allies before, but after spending more time together, they realized how well their personalities matched. They make good friends.”

“Oh? Just friends?” Claudia asked with a sly look.

Rosvisser blinked. “What else would they be, ma’am?”

“I heard someone say Valendna likes to call Isha ‘Mom,’ didn’t she?”

Rosvisser sighed with a helpless smile:

“That was just a joke, ma’am.”

While the two women talked, Morgan leaned closer to Odin and muttered under his breath:

“Kids these days are sure more open than us old relics. Can’t lie, I’m a little envious.”

Odin gave him a side glance and replied dryly:

“What, you want to call me father too?”

“...Old man, ever since you started hanging around the Silver Dragon Prince, you’ve changed. Maybe stop playing with him so much.”

Odin chuckled quietly and shook his head, not bothering to argue.

The conversation drifted on casually. But soon, Leon noticed something off.

After Muse had finished greeting the elders and family friends, she’d gone completely silent.

She sat on her chair, eyes darting around the hall as though trying to avoid someone.

Leon’s mind clicked, and he subtly tapped Rosvisser’s hand.

Their eyes met—she instantly understood. She would stay and keep chatting while he took Muse aside.

Rosvisser nodded.

Leon guided Muse to a quieter corner and asked softly:

“What’s wrong, Muse? You look nervous.”

Muse pressed her lips together. “N-no, it’s nothing, Dad. I just... When we visit the Blazing Sun Clan like this, do they, um, register everyone’s names?”

“Of course,” Leon said. “They keep a record of all guests—it helps them prepare the right amount of food and rooms. Why?”

Muse swallowed:

“And... do those name lists get shown to the Blazing Sun City guard?”

Leon blinked, not understanding the reason behind the question:

“Well, I’m not sure how they handle things here, but in our Silver Dragon Sanctuary, the guest lists are always reviewed and logged by Sherry’s guard squad.”

Muse’s face grew even tenser:

“Then we’re doomed, Dad.”

“What do you mean, doomed?”

Before he could ask more, a burst of hurried footsteps echoed from the entrance of the reception hall.

Leon turned toward the sound—someone had just sprinted in at full speed, stopping at the doorway with one hand braced against the frame, scanning the entire hall.

A shout followed from outside:

“Teresa! Calm down! Calm down! This time the little dragon girl’s here with her parents—don’t scare her and cause another misunderstanding!”

“Dragon girl—give me the dragon girl—come on, hand her over—!”

The moment Teresa spotted Muse, her eyes lit up like fire.

“Muuuuse!!”

At that very instant, Muse’s tail curled straight up in alarm.

Then she sighed in resignation.

“Dad, for the next ten minutes, I might not belong to you.”

Leon, still unaware of the incoming storm, said lightly:

“She’s just a big sister who really likes you, that’s all. Don’t worry about it—”

“No, Dad. ‘Like’ doesn’t cover it. That woman is a hardcore dragon-girl maniac.”

Before he could even process that, Teresa had already blinked across the room and appeared right in front of them, unleashing a breathless barrage of words:

“Your Highness Leon, hello! I’m Teresa, vice-captain of the Blazing Sun City Guard! During the joint exam, I was in the same group as your daughter Muse—yes, this very soft, sweet, unbelievably adorable little dragon girl standing fifty centimeters away from me! Together we overcame countless dangers and earned top team marks—do you remember me?”

A bead of sweat slid down Leon’s temple. “Ah, yes... I think I do—”

“That’s TOTALLY fine!!”

Teresa declared, practically vibrating.

“It’s completely understandable that someone as important and busy as yourself wouldn’t remember a humble little vice-captain like me—but! Please forgive my earlier, current, and immediately forthcoming lack of restraint! I—I—I just can’t control myself when I see your precious dragon girl! Please, Your Highness, may I hug her just once? Please, I’m begging you!!”

Hands clasped, eyes sparkling like stars, Teresa looked up at Leon in pure supplication.

Even the battle-hardened General Leon could only stare speechlessly. At last, he understood why Muse had been so tense.

He was still trying to steady himself when another familiar figure strode up behind Teresa—and gave her a firm flick on the back of the head.

“Ow! Ow ow ow ow ow!”

“Don’t be rude to guests, Teresa.”

Teresa shrank behind the newcomer, rubbing her head and mumbling pitifully:

“Got it, Captain...”

The woman looked up, her voice as cool and composed as ever:

“Long time no see, Mr. Leon.”

Leon nodded, smiling faintly:

“Long time no see, Miss Orion.”
