Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You

Vol 8. Chapter 19: Hardcore Dragon-Girl Addict

Muse managed to secure second place among the dragon candidates’ points entirely thanks to her diligence in completing tasks. Of course, if her examiner hadn’t been an extreme dragon-girl maniac, her ranking might have been even higher.

At least a quarter of Muse’s time was being devoured by Teresa’s obsession.

“Let me touch your tail, Muse-chan! Just once! Just a little bit—!”

Muse rarely showed her speechlessness or resignation on her face, but this time even she couldn’t hold it in.

“Teresa-sister, there’s nothing special about my tail. It’s much shorter than a normal dragon child’s.”

“But, but~~”

Teresa crouched down, cupping Muse’s slightly chubby baby-fat cheeks in both hands, and said:

“Short tails feel better! When you squeeze them they’re bouncy and springy! Just let me touch it one more time, Muse-chan~~”

People like you who don’t even have tails... we’re not from the same world, Muse silently complained in her heart.

To get moving quickly and earn more points, Muse reluctantly turned her back and flicked her little tail toward Teresa.

“Only once. We still need to hurry and do tasks, Teresa-sister.”

“Yay~~!”

Teresa gently cupped Muse’s small tail in both hands, lifted it up, and pressed it to her cheek with deep satisfaction, rubbing against it. So soft, so smooth, so springy! Who says dragons are all fierce and combative big lizards? This was adorable! She wanted to raise one.

While Teresa was still lost in the bliss of tail-sniffing, Muse sighed and unrolled the map again.

“The tasks in this area are pretty much done. There aren’t many points left here. Where should I go next...”

The zone Muse was currently in counted as medium difficulty. Going deeper into the valley would take her into the high-difficulty area.

The tasks there were more complex, some requiring multiple people to complete, but the points were also far greater. If she wanted to place high in the final ranking, she couldn’t avoid the high-difficulty zone.

Muse drew a deep breath and silently firmed her resolve.

“Alright, then here it is.”

She packed away the map and started walking toward the deeper parts. But she forgot that Teresa was still clinging to her tail and sniffing greedily. With that tug, Muse sighed again, turned back slowly, and looked at Teresa.

“Sis, we need to go.”

“Go where? To my house? My bed is big and soft~~ we can lie on it, and I can sniff your tail all day long!”

“......”

Mom, there’s a dragon-girl bandit here, come catch her.

In the end, the two of them dawdled their way further into the valley.

After walking for thirty minutes or so, Muse still hadn’t found her first high-difficulty task when she heard a commotion not far off. She followed the sound and immediately spotted a familiar figure.

“Damn damn damn! Why didn’t anyone tell me there’d be a giant dangerous beast here aaaaaaah~!”

“Second sis...”

Moon, her ahoge whipping about frantically, was running for her life. Behind her lumbered an A-rank dangerous beast the size of an elephant.

As she ran, Moon spotted Muse and Teresa. She flailed her arms wildly toward her little sister.

“Muse! Muse! Save your second sis! Save your second sis~!”

Muse’s face remained impassive as ever. She shifted her gaze from Moon to the beast behind her. One glance was enough to judge its rank.

“Just an A-rank dangerous beast... does second sis really have to flee like that?”

“Muse! You don’t want our family’s lineup to jump from the eldest straight to the third, do you!”

Muse’s eyes sharpened, and she immediately responded:

“Coming, sis!”

With that, Muse dashed forward, gathering magic in both hands. Golden-red light condensed into a magic needle, which flew straight into the beast chasing Moon.

The creature let out a scream. Its body showed no visible injury, but within seconds its massive form toppled to the ground, sending up a thick cloud of dust.

Before long, Moon came running out of the smoke. Muse hurried to meet her.

“Sis, are you hurt?”

Moon shook her head, no trace of worry on her face.

“No, no. Thanks, Muse. If it weren’t for you, that stinky beast would’ve eaten me.”

Little Moon said it like she meant it.

Muse stared at her sister and thought she really could have gotten eaten. After all, this post-Awakening assessment had plenty of safety measures in place.

Even if Muse hadn’t run into Moon here, she wouldn’t have actually been in danger.

Which raised the question:

“Then, second sis, why are you here?” Muse asked. “Isn’t this an outdoor assessment for the Hatchling Division? You’re already in the Youth Division, why would you join too?”

At that, Moon puffed her cheeks angrily, hands on her hips.

“—Don’t get me started. The academy said the Youth Division’s curriculum was too slack, so they needed to arrange a field exercise. Since the Hatchling Division just happened to have a joint exam, the academy shoved us Youth Division students in too.”

Muse blinked. “So you’re one of those slack-class students, right, second sis...”

“Yes.”

Moon was still fuming.

“It’s not my fault I got placed in a slack class! Sure, normally I don’t have to do anything and the teachers just give me a passing grade, but if the academy’s gonna try to make up for it now, that’s just annoying!”

Muse could hardly imagine what life was like for the queen of loafing once she was dumped into a total slacker’s class. Other people went to the academy to study. Second sis went there to retire early.

But in Muse’s memory, the Youth Division’s courses weren’t randomly assigned... at least not for eldest sis. She faintly recalled looking at Moon, murmuring helplessly:

“Something feels off about this...”

Before Muse could press further, Teresa suddenly cried out beside them.

“Another little dragon girl!”

The words had barely left her lips before a gust swept past Muse. In an instant, Teresa was right in front of Moon, scooping the big-sized loli straight into her arms.

Though not as easy to hold as Muse, she still felt soft and fragrant in Teresa’s embrace. Teresa buried her nose in Moon’s neck and inhaled deeply, then exhaled with a long sigh of bliss.

“Ahhh~~ take me away, I want to drown in a pile of dragon girls~~”

Unlike Muse’s helplessness, Moon seemed used to being grabbed and sniffed like this. Back when she was little, whether it was her mother Rosvisser, Grandpa Tiger, Grandma Charlotte, or any number of dragon siblings, all of them had sniffed her plenty.

With the eldest not allowing herself to be sniffed, everyone just concentrated their fire on the second.

A few minutes later, Teresa reluctantly set Moon down and asked:

“So, are you gonna come do tasks with us? There are a bunch up ahead that need teamwork. With you, Muse can definitely rack up more points.”

“Sure, sure, let’s go together~”

“Woohoo!”

Teresa couldn’t be happier to have two little dragon girls. And since there was no one around to keep her in check, she could finally unleash her nature completely!

The three of them ventured deeper into the valley. Before long, they found a task site.

It was a two-person cooperation task. “Perfect, I can do it with Muse,” Moon said.

Muse nodded. The sisters clasped hands and set to work. The task was tough: gathering crystals spilling from the ground, fending off several high-level dangerous beasts. But in the end, they finished without mishap.

Muse obtained a point card worth a full fifteen points. She tucked it into her waist pouch. Moon, meanwhile, silently watched, her eyes flicking again and again toward the pouch.

“Alright, second sis, let’s find another task.”

“Huh? Oh, oh, okay.”

Moon seemed totally vacant as she followed along. The trio continued down a secluded little path, with the occasional crow-monster cawing as it flew overhead. Moon quickened her pace, pressing close to Muse and wrapping an arm around her neck.

“Muse... I’m a little scared...”

“Don’t be afraid, second sis. I’ll protect you.”

“Mmhm!”

Muse said this as she reached an arm around Moon’s waist. The two little dragon girls leaned together, clinging close. It was a harmonious sight. Behind them, Teresa stealthily slipped a portable camera from her pocket.

As a latent heavy dragon-girl maniac, how could Teresa forget to bring a camera once she knew there’d be a joint exam with dragons? She raised the lens, aiming it at the two sisters.

But just as she was about to press the shutter, she caught a subtle scene through the viewfinder: Moon, taking advantage of their closeness, slipped her hand unseen into Muse’s waist pouch—and drew out the fifteen-point card.

“Eh, Moo...”

Teresa stopped herself. Even if she was a bit scatterbrained, she could think fast when it mattered. She immediately realized this Youth Division student wasn’t here °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° for any so-called exercise arranged by the academy.

Moon... was an “extra piece” that had slipped into this assessment.
