Chaos Heavenly Emperor Technique

Chapter 752: Chapter 753: The Second Round of the Point-Based Competition! (2 more)

”East Courtyard Sword Team, victorious!”

As the judge announced the final result of the match, members of North Court Team 2 all felt a wave of disappointment.

They had given it their all, but alas, they still met with defeat—even with the opponent not fielding any of their main players, they were completely overwhelmed!

”It’s alright, victory and defeat are common in military affairs; it is enough that we’ve done our best.”

Nie Yuanzhou patted the shoulders of his teammates, knowing the outcome of one’s life isn’t determined by a single competition. With perseverance, perhaps an opportunity of heavenly resistance could alter the course of fate.

After all, there is no shortage of senior experts in history who achieved great things later in life.

”Yang Zhan!”

Before anyone knew it, Goo Tengfeng had approached the members of North Court Team 2 and extended his right hand to Yang Zhan.

”Goo Tengfeng...”

Yang Zhan paused and fixed his gaze on Goo Tengfeng, somewhat puzzled.

”Sorry Yang Zhan, I didn’t mean to underestimate you all, but as you know, everyone wants to be number one—that’s every swordsman’s dream! So, I think you should understand my intentions.”

Goo Tengfeng’s face was sincere, for he saw in Yang Zhan a rival worthy of respect, which is why he was patiently explaining this to him.

”No need to say more.”

Yang Zhan reached out and grasped Goo Tengfeng’s hand firmly, ”Goo Tengfeng, this competition is our last battle. I hope you will carry on the hopes of North Court Team 2 to continued victories! Defeat the Central Courtyard Sword Team!”

”Haha, I will!”

With a hearty laugh, the two team captains exchanged smiles, with all that needed to be said understood without words.

As both teams left the field, today’s competition came to an end, and tomorrow, it would be North Courtyard Sword Team against West Courtyard Second Team.

Although star players like Ling Feng and Lee Bufan did not participate, leaving many spectators greatly disappointed, today’s matches were still quite exciting overall and left people remembering one name.

Gong Cheng!

For a grand Empire, possessing formidable martial force is important, but intelligent talents like Gong Cheng are equally indispensable.

It’s expected that, after Gong Cheng graduates from Heavenly Position Academy, his career will surely be smooth sailing.

”This Goo Family lad does seem to possess the air of a general,” remarked Elder Deng as he stroked his long beard and squinted his eyes in a smile.

As a general in the military himself, Deng Xian had a good understanding of Goo Tengfeng’s father, Goo Xichao—like father, like son; Goo Tengfeng indeed had his father’s demeanor.

Deng Yongshi pouted and said discontentedly, ”What’s with that? I came all this way, and that guy didn’t even play!”

”Ha ha, you girl!” Elder Deng shook his head and chuckled, ”Well, it’s time for us to leave too.”

”If we must leave, then let’s leave...” Deng Yongshi huffed lightly and muttered under her breath: Damn Ling Feng, claiming he would often come to watch and guide me in Martial Techniques. He had such a long vacation but never showed up once. That jerk isn’t a... good teacher at all!

...

The first round of competition went smoothly.

Apart from the first day’s competition, members of the East Courtyard Sword Team attended every match, observing throughout the entirety.

And in the outside world, all the major betting stalls had detailed listings of the favorites to win the championship and the score situations, even earlier than the official announcements from Heavenly Position Academy.

Of course, the same was true for the other three academies; during this season of battle, it was a perfect opportunity for the gray industries to make a killing.

For Heavenly Position Academy, the favorites for the championship were undoubtedly the East Courtyard Sword Team and Central Courtyard Sword Team, but how the final scores would turn out and who would be the one to cut down the opposing team’s flag, all these were hot topics for gambling.

Of course, there was also the possibility of an upset!

In short, anyone paying attention to the tournament had likely placed a few bets, as the saying goes, ”Take a gamble, trade a Mortal Artifact for a Treasure!”

After three matches had ended, the five teams advancing to the second round were:

West Courtyard Sword Team, East Courtyard Sword Team, North Courtyard Sword Team, Central Court Second Team, Middle Courtyard Third Team!

Surprisingly, the Southern Courtyard Sword Team faced Central Court Second Team in the first round and was utterly trounced, evidencing the overall strength of Central Courtyard with both their second and third teams advancing, not to be underestimated.

As for the strong players from the first round of matches, they seemed to be influenced by the East Courtyard Sword Team; the other teams also began to hide their strength, revealing little of their true capabilities in the first round.

Goo Tengfeng had somehow gathered a set of information about the members of the Five Academy Sword Team for this tournament, a detailed profile of each team.

Of course, with the Goo Family in control of industries like the Blood Fight Arena and having special relationships with the major gambling houses, obtaining such information was not unusual.

Central Courtyard Sword Team, Captain Li Yunting, undeniably strong, with a cultivation at the Second Layer of Divine Origin Realm, his true strength could probably compete with ordinary mid-stage Divine Origin Realm Martial Artists!

Muu Liiu Feng, in the true strength column, simply had a question mark.

Besides him, there was also one named Luu Qingshan, not to be ignored.

Of course, Central Courtyard Sword Team’s Flag Guard, Yue Yunlan. Although Ling Feng’s relationship with her was quite close, her cultivation level was not very high, but she excelled in ”subtle changes.” Combined with the rest of the team, she would undoubtedly play a crucial role.

As for the perennial runner-up, the North Courtyard Sword Team, Captain Wei Chi Rui, seemed to have advanced to the Peak of Origin Transformation Realm, with half a foot into the Divine Origin Realm.

His true strength could probably beat ordinary Divine Origin Realm Martial Artists with ease.

Central Court Second Team, although they were just the second team, their strength in crushing the Southern Courtyard Sword Team was not to be underestimated.

Their captain, named Luo Hong...

...

After reading through this detailed information, Ling Feng had a basic understanding of the various sword teams.

As the saying goes, know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated in a hundred battles.

The sword team’s combat is a contest of strength and wisdom, and no opponent should be taken lightly!

Feeling the atmosphere of the competition becoming more intense, members of the teams were constantly training, aside from when observing matches.

Especially, sensing that the strength of this year’s sword teams was unprecedented, everyone was on high alert.

On the sixth day since the start of the Five Academy Sword Team tournament, which was today!

The second round of the points competition finally began!

The rules of the points competition were somewhat different from the first round. The five teams that advanced to the second round would all play against each other, winning a match earning one point, losing meant no points.

In the end, only the top two sword teams would earn the right to contend with the Central Courtyard Sword Team for the top three positions.

Such rules were undoubtedly the fairest, and only such exciting and thrilling matches could genuinely captivate all spectators.
