Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 494: Chapter 492:“Shall we try this again?”

”Alright, everyone, we shall now make our way towards the sect. Ready yourselves.” The voice of the white-haired elder alerted everyone once more as the gathered crowd of candidates was once again rounded up and ready to depart.

Luckily for me, the emperor hadn’t done the annoying act of declaring some grand banquet to celebrate the candidates, though I doubted that was even something that would’ve happened either way.

The whole point of appearing here was to acknowledge the emperor and have him posture and show us the superiority of the Martial Spirit World’s ruling class before we made our way to the sect proper, but that trip had been delayed by two days.

Two days of the candidates sitting around doing nothing whilst I was being treated like a fucking god as I just ate grapes, groped Nyssara, played with Lucien, and every once in a while, spat out some random bullshit I had thought up from the top of my head to the cross-legged emperor that was somehow getting some weird form of enlightenment from the nonsense that came out of my mouth.

It was a win-win situation that I couldn’t have possibly complained about, but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

...

...

”Promise me you’ll visit sometime, my friend.” Lin Xuan placed his hands on my shoulders as he spoke.

”If you keep being that clingy, then I might never do. Like, damn, man, look at your beautiful wife. Go grope her ass or breasts or do something; I don’t swing that way!” I smacked the man’s hands away as I berated him loudly for all to hear, not minding one bit his position as emperor.

”Ahahahahahaha!!! Don’t worry! I’ve taken heed of all your wise words—both of the Dao of cultivation and the Dao of molestation. I shall make you proud!”

”Your... Your Majesty! I.. I don’t think that’s something you should be learning!” The woman, Su Yin, had turned beet red from the embarrassing words coming out of Lin Xuan’s mouth.

”Nonsense, woman! The words of my brother here are the truest expression of the Dao, so I must follow them to a tee!”

Yep. I had been promoted from friend to brother in a span of just two days.

And all it took was teaching this guy the sacred act of shamelessness that keeps your relationships fun and interesting.

”You just made that poor girl’s life a thousand times worse by infecting this idiot with the same sickness that’s making you an idiot as well,” Shaia berated softly.

”I know, right? To think I could find a kindred spirit in these lands. This trip was worth it.”

”Bastard! I don’t think you’re hearing what she’s saying!” Sana.

”You want me to grope you too? Well, since you asked, I don’t mind. Just let us find somewhere private and I’ll grope you to your heart’s content.”

”Wha... what!? That’s not what I said!!!”

”Ohh.. anyways...”

”Bastard!! Don’t ignore me!! Dante!!”

Yep. Definitely ignoring her now.

”Anyways, Xuan, don’t go getting yourself into any trouble while I’m away at the sect.” I smiled, genuinely pleased after having spent some time with the fellow.

”Trouble? Me? I’m the bloody emperor. Who could possibly trouble me?” For a split second, the majesty of a man in power shone through as the man made his declaration, ”I’d like to see the fool that would dare.”

I had the heart to mention the name of the true overlords of this region, but something told me the man really wouldn’t give a damn either way, and that thought made me smile all the more.

”Very well said, brother!” I laughed, clapping the man hard on his shoulders before finally joining the waiting group of candidates that still couldn’t believe their eyes.

I could only imagine the disbelief running through their minds as they watched a fellow candidate like them—one who was supposed to become only an ’outer disciple’ of the Spirit Ascension—act so casually with the emperor of the family that held superiority over the heart of their entire galaxies.

”Never thought I’d have fun in any of these places, but I guess that guy wasn’t so bad at being a host.” Malachi sighed in satisfaction as the monkey cradled a new flying sword.

”Yeah. That emperor is truly fit to be this Paku’s friend.” Paku nodded in appreciation as he rested his small frame on a tiny crimson sword.

Yes. Flying swords. That’s all it took to win over this group of bastards that had been complaining at every turn about the world’s lack of entertainment and fun.

”Haa... I guess we should get going then.” I signaled to the elder, ”Elder, take us away.”

Naturally, the man didn’t take too kindly to being told what to do by a candidate, so his reaction was to be expected,

”YOU IMPUDENT LITTLE—” He didn’t care that I had become brothers with the emperor; an undisciplined disciple must be disciplined.

But, ”Courting death...” A cold voice resounded through the entire place as the elder’s words were cut short before they could even be completed.

THUD!

The jarring thud of a headless body hitting the floor shook the souls of everyone gathered at the scene.

Shulvan hadn’t even needed to act out this time as someone else had already done so before anyone could react.

All eyes turned to the skies where the elder had been standing as their pupils constricted at the sight before them.

There, still draped in his golden dragon-patterned robe, was Lin Xuan, but the attention wasn’t on him. No, it was on the thing in his hand.

”To dare disregard the words of my brother in my presence, do you no longer place I, Lin Xuan, in your eyes?” His words weren’t loud, but they didn’t need to be for everyone to feel the authority within them as he tossed the head he had ripped off the body of the white-haired elder.

His cold gaze bore down upon the other grand elders gathered there as they shrunk back reflexively.

His expression had gone cold. Gone was the goofy man I had been laughing it up with earlier, as right now, the man that stood before the crowd was none other than—

Emperor Lin Xuan, the sole ruler and overseer of the entirety of the High Planar Galaxies, and he had just ripped off the head of a Law Dominion powerhouse like it was nothing.

”Shall we try this again?” His cold voice echoed out as I recognized my cue.

”Alright then, elders, let’s get going.” The amusement in my voice couldn’t be hidden at all as I was currently enjoying the spectacle quite a lot.

”Yes—”

”Yes what?” Lin Xuan’s cold voice cut them off as he asked, aura threatening.

”Yes... Hero Long Chen, we shall depart at once.” The elders corrected themselves instantly out of fear of being next.

”Humph!”

”Alright then, Xuan, I’ll be going on ahead. Be sure to send a letter, or just visit, and don’t forget to molest Sister Su Yin properly. Her milkers look in need of a proper milking, ahahahahahahahaha!!!” I laughed and waved goodbye as the light of teleportation covered us once more and we were swiftly returned to the ship’s interior.

”Alright, fellas. The sideshow is over. Now for the main event.” I smiled, looking out the ship’s view as a childish form of excitement bubbled through me.

Up next was probably the heart of the whole trope—the place where everything shall culminate and I shall finally get my fill.

”Heh! Spirit Ascension Sect, I hope you don’t disappoint me.” I mused in silence as the vessel hummed gently, the warp drives activating swiftly, and then, just like that, we were taken away, our next stop being the secret realm that housed the behemoth that was the Spirit Ascension Sect.

A/N: Hmmm... Lin xuan seems chill. Should I add him to the group chat? He’ll be nepo baby of the group as no matter how you look at it, Dante and his group always give off the feeling of being broke, lol... anyways, as always...
