Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

”Boras... could it be them?”

Just then, Anenep’s figure slowly materialized in a corner of the conference room.

”It’s possible, but unlikely.”

Boras shook his head, his tone icy. ”You should know that if it were them, they would never risk appearing at an event like a Wizard gathering.”

”But besides those Devourers, there shouldn’t be any other Wizards who could improve so much in such a short time!”

Anenep’s tone was just as cold, a chilling killing intent gleaming in his red eyes. ”Boras, you should have slaughtered them all back then!”

”It would have been useless...”

”So what do you plan to do now? Should we try to contact Chief Vaklaf?”

”Not for now. His situation is even more difficult, and besides...” Boras shook his head again. ”Based on my calculations, he should already be deep within the Undead World. It’s not like we can contact him just because we want to...”

At this, the two skeletons looked at each other and opened their tooth-filled mouths in a silent sigh.

’Ah, Chief Vaklaf, your departure truly came at the worst possible time...’

Meanwhile, similar events were unfolding in three other Wizard Schools.

However, aside from the Ghost Soul and Spiritual Mystery Schools, the Wizards of the Blood Spirit and Mechanical Schools didn’t care about the flaw in the Blink Rune.

One school was accustomed to using their bodies, while the other specialized in machinery; their need for Magic Runes wasn’t high. Some Wizards, upon learning of the matter, even went so far as to mock the bones of the Ghost Soul School and the idiots of Spiritual Mystery...

Only the Shadow School paid it some mind, but they had other, more important matters to attend to and couldn’t spare the effort to investigate for now...

...

...

And in a mysterious space somewhere on the Northern Continent, a group of people shrouded in yellow robes were also discussing the matter of the Magic Runes, but their focus remained fixed on the one who discovered the flaw.

”...Two hundred years ahead of schedule!”

”Find him! Find that Faceless! I shall imprison him beneath the Abyssal Depths!”

”Of course, of course, we must find Faceless. As it happens, that forbidden artifact is perfect for finding people whose names have been exposed, even if they’re a Wizard, and even if it’s a pseudonym from the Nightmare Realm World...”

One of the yellow-robed figures cackled, taking out a mantle clock. He produced a key, wound the gears on the back, and muttered an incantation, ”Find the Faceless Mage, origin six hundred, affiliated with the Ghost Soul School...”

”Tsk, tsk. The poor soul, being targeted by you. Hmm, well, I’ll leave this matter to you then.”

”Found him! So he’s in the Cordo Sea Region right now?”

At that moment, another yellow-robed figure glanced upward and asked faintly, ”Shouldn’t our focus right now be on discussing what comes next?”

”Indeed. The sin of Faceless is great, but what’s done is done...”

”Everyone, according to my puppets in the various schools, the Ghost Soul and Spiritual Mystery Schools have already begun investigating the Magic Runes. The Blood Spirit and Mechanical Schools have also taken action, but they aren’t taking it seriously. As for the Shadow School, because of that other matter, they’re preparing to go all-out against the Dawn Church...”

”Ghost Soul and Spiritual Mystery?”

At this, in the vast hall of the castle, the pupils of three figures wearing dark gold masks, seated upon a high dais, shifted slightly.

The central, yellow-robed, masked figure looked down at the crowd below the dais and said calmly, ”Leave the Ghost Soul School for now. Deal with the Spiritual Mystery School first!”

”Miriam, why? That fool Vaklaf has been lured into the Undead Realm. This is the perfect opportunity to sow discord in the Ghost Soul School.” The masked figure on the left, whose voice was older, spoke up. ”Creating chaos within Ghost Soul, making them devour each other—that was part of the plan. But the Spiritual Mystery School...”

”I do not wish to repeat myself.”

A clear voice, sounding like a woman’s yet also androgynous, emanated from beneath the central figure’s yellow-robed mask.

The masked figure on the right also spoke. ”Kristan, Miriam has her reasons for this arrangement. We don’t have enough time right now. Otherwise, the Ghost Soul School would have ceased to exist long ago...”

The masked figure on the left, Kristan, shook his head slightly. ”I understand. Even if we throw the Ghost Soul School into chaos and division, it would take at least three hundred years. So, what is the plan for the Spiritual Mystery School?”

”Chaos is the source of everything!”

The central figure, Miriam, rose to her feet. A Golden Scepter appeared in her hand as she slowly descended the steps to face the dozens of yellow-robed figures with bowed heads, chanting:

”By the divine oracle of the great Source of Chaos, Xiastanegla—let the Spiritual Mystery School become the land of chaos in this Divine Prohibition Era!”

”We obey the divine oracle of the Mother God, the Source of Chaos!”

”Only chaos—”

Miriam stood at the foot of the steps, raising the Golden Scepter high. Her voice pierced through the castle, situated in a land of endless darkness.

”Is the end of the world!”

...

...

Early the next morning, the ticking of a mantle clock rang out.

”Ugh—”

Wei’en opened his eyes. He touched the sweat on his forehead and looked around the lounge, dazed.

’Was I dreaming?’

He frowned, trying to recall the strange dream he just had, but he couldn’t remember anything he had seen in it.

He only remembered being in a castle painted black on the outside, and it was eerily silent all around.

The light of a red moon shone through a glass window behind him, casting his elongated shadow onto the high dais before him.

Upon it...

”Ngh.”

Wei’en clutched his head as a sharp pain lanced through it. His eyes instantly turned sharp.

’Something’s wrong. Something must have happened to me!’

Thinking this, he opened his panel to check the information on it.
