Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

A memory buried deep inside King Mark’s heart surfaced. It was a memory he had tried to drown by indulging in wine, women and other ways.

A memory of a sweet and beautiful girl.

Back then, he had truly fallen in love.

Those days were warm, gentle and fulfilling.

Until everything shattered.

“How dare you?”

“You lied to me.”

“You said you loved me, but you already have many wives?”

“But I am going to be king,” he had replied back then with a tone full of arrogance. “I need many women and many heirs to sustain the royal bloodline.”

“So stop over reacting.”

“I don’t care.”

“Nor do I need to understand what you need to do.”

“You lied to me and played with my emotions, so I curse you.”

“I curse you to lose your power.”she spoke and lunged at him.

“Stop…You can’t do this..”Mark roared and tried to avoid but his body froze.

The next moment his body became frail and weak.

That curse had ruined him.

It turned a rising warrior into a frail king mocked behind closed doors. It hollowed him out. It poisoned his pride. It made him crawl in the shadows for decades.

To break that curse, he had prepared for years.

There was no way he would stop now.

King Mark raised his scythe and pointed it at Ethan.

“I will give you one opportunity.”

“Surrender and accept my sovereignty, or else.”

“Or else?” Ethan asked calmly.

He pulled out his sword and slammed it into the ground.

The sound echoed like a bell of judgment.

“Or else what?”

A devastating pressure erupted from Ethan’s body. The air groaned under its weight. Cracks spread across the marble floor as invisible force pressed outward.

King Mark’s eyes burned.

“Then die.”

He moved first.

The scythe screamed as it cut through the air, leaving behind a trail of black and crimson energy.

[Reaper’s Crescent!]

WHOOSH!

A trail of darkness swept in the air as the curved blade swept toward Ethan’s neck with terrifying speed.

Ethan twisted his body and stepped in instead of back. His sword moved like flowing water.

[Chaos Sword Art, First Form.]

The blade descended in a simple slash, yet the moment it met the scythe, the ordered energy around it collapsed.

BOOOOM!

The collision exploded outward. The shockwave shattered pillars and blew nobles off their feet. Glass burst, walls cracked, and the ceiling groaned.

BOOOOM!

The walls of the palace exploded leaving behind ruins.

King Mark skidded backward, boots carving deep lines into the floor.

Ethan slid back as well, but his stance remained steady.

King Mark roared and attacked again.

“Blood Harvest!”

The scythe spun wildly, releasing dozens of dark arcs that flew toward Ethan from every angle. Each arc screamed like a dying soul.

Ethan did not retreat; rather he stepped forward. His sword traced a strange curve in the air, and chaos energy surged along the blade.

The dark arcs touched the sword and instantly broke apart, dissolving into formless mist.

King Mark’s eyes widened.

He leaped high, wings beating violently, and came down with crushing force.

“King’s Judgment!”

The scythe slammed downward like a falling mountain.

Ethan crossed his blade and raised it.

BOOOOOOM!

The floor collapsed completely. A deep crater formed beneath them. Dust, debris, and broken stone blasted outward.

Both figures vanished into the smoke.

A second later, two shapes burst out from opposite sides of the crater.

King Mark rushed forward, slashing, hooking, and tearing with his scythe. Every strike was vicious, filled with hatred and desperation.

Ethan moved through it all with calm precision.

He parried. He deflected. He slipped past attacks by inches.

His sword glowed faintly with chaotic energy, unstable yet controlled.

King Mark swung again.

“Devourer’s Embrace!”

The scythe extended unnaturally, the blade stretching and splitting into multiple hooked edges.

Ethan narrowed his eyes.

He stepped inside the attack.

The scythe tore past his shoulder, grazing armor and drawing blood, but Ethan did not slow.

His sword thrust forward.

The chaos-coated blade struck King Mark’s chest but the armour underneath protected him.

BOOOOOOM!

King Mark was blasted backward, smashing through the already broken wall and rolling across the place slammed into walls of another palace destroying it.

“AHHHHH!

SWOOOSH!

A strong shockwave erupted, sending debris of the broken palace flying.

He coughed blood and rose unsteadily.

“Impossible,” he snarled. “I did so much and reached the Emperor’s realm.”

“I can’t be defeated now…ARGHHHHH!”

Ethan walked forward slowly, sword dragging along the ground, sparks flying. He looked at Mark who screamed like a madman,”It’s time to get out of the pretty dream.”

King Mark screamed and charged again.

This time, the two clashed at full force.

Scythe and sword collided again and again.

Each impact sent shockwaves tearing through the palace. Entire sections collapsed. Fire spread around and screams echoed from afar.

The fight looked like a living storm.

King Mark attacked wildly, fueled by rage and obsession.

Ethan fought coldly, efficiently, and without mercy. Finally, Ethan slipped past a heavy swing and slammed his elbow into King Mark’s armour that caused a flattened crackling voice creating a tent that extended inward.

CRACK!

King Mark staggered.

Ethan followed with a kick that sent him crashing into the throne platform.

The scythe slipped from King Mark’s hand.

He struggled to rise.

Ethan stood before him, sword pointed down.

“This is where it ends,” Ethan said calmly.

King Mark laughed weakly, blood spilling from his mouth.

“Hahaha…Can’t believe that I have been pushed to this extent.”

Ethan’s eyes were cold.

The chaotic energy around his blade surged.

The hall trembled as if the palace itself was afraid.

Broken pillars lay scattered like fallen giants. Flames crawled along shattered curtains. The floor had collapsed in several places, exposing cracked stone and glowing veins of mana beneath. Dust and smoke churned in the air, mixing with blood and ash.

Ethan stood still at the center of the ruin.

King Mark staggered to his feet across from him, his breath ragged, his chest heaving. Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth and stained his once-royal robes. The scythe lay a few steps away, half-buried in broken stone, still pulsing with dark energy.

“You think this is the end?” Mark snarled, his voice shaking with rage and disbelief. “You think you’ve already won?”

Ethan did not answer. He slowly raised his sword while keeping his guards.

Enemies generally used their trump cards in such situations.

That silence enraged Mark more than any insult.

A deep roar tore out of Mark’s throat. His draconic wings flared wide, shredding what remained of the ceiling. Wind howled through the hall as he kicked off the ground, shooting forward like a meteor.

“ABYSSAL REAP!”

Mark’s hand clenched, and the scythe flew back into his grasp, spinning as it returned. He swung it in a wide arc, releasing a massive crescent of black and crimson energy that screamed as it tore through the air.

Ethan raised his sword. The chaotic aura around his sword thickened, rippling like unstable heat.

“Chaos Sword Art, First Form.”
