Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

Chapter 213: 213:The Infernals

Far away from the Kingdom of Ruthiana, in a secluded corner at the end of Garland Abyss, there stood a place marked as a forbidden zone. The land was filled with dangerous beasts and wild monsters. Their roars echoed through the mountains, and the smell of death lingered in the air.

People who entered rarely came back alive. It was a place few dared to step into.

Deep within this deadly region stood a massive statue of a demon with six arms. Its form was carved from dark stone and towered high like a mountain. Its eyes glowed faintly with red light, as if watching every soul that entered. This was the sacred ground of the Abyssal Cult.

The Abyssal Cult had many branches, out of which one powerful faction called themselves the Infernals. The Infernals were feared throughout the shadows. They were known for their ruthless devotion to the Demon God. They believed chaos was the path to true strength and sought to spread destruction across all lands. Their faith demanded blood and agony, and they accepted it with pride.

The followers of the Infernals gathered in hidden temples and underground sanctuaries. Their leaders plotted in the darkness, their voices whispering curses and prayers to the six-armed demon who stood like a guardian over their secrets.

Inside the temple, the dark chamber around the statue was made from smooth black stone. Strange symbols were carved across the walls and floor, glowing faintly as if alive. The dim flames of torches flickered, casting twisted shadows across the stone. The air smelled of blood and thick incense. A heavy silence filled the room as robed priests stood still with their heads bowed.

They were eerie figures. Their faces were pale and thin, and their eyes shone with a disturbing fanatic light. Some of them had black veins crawling across their skin like roots. Others had long nails sharp as blades. The dark energy around them pulsed like a heartbeat.

They possessed powers drawn from the Demon God, powers that fed on fear, pain and suffering. With just a whisper they could stop a heart or twist a person’s mind into madness.

Suddenly a voice cut through the silence.

“Fail…” a man muttered loudly.

Gasps spread through the chamber.

“What did you say? It failed?”

“How is this possible?”

“Didn’t Kai say they were already winning? Then how?”

The man stepped forward from the shadows. His presence was like a crushing weight. His long black cloak dragged behind him and his eyes burned with rage. His voice exploded through the chamber like thunder.

“So much effort just goes to waste. Damn it!”

The priests flinched and lowered their heads. No one dared to look up.

One of them slowly stepped forward and spoke in a calm but trembling voice. “We just received the message of defeat. The details are not clear yet. Our agents are still trying to confirm what happened.”

The man’s fists tightened until his knuckles cracked. His teeth clenched hard. The humiliation stung deeper than the loss.

A priest spoke carefully. “Lord, should we stop the plans in Ruthiana?”

The man did not answer at once. He closed his eyes and breathed slowly, thinking. After a few moments his eyes snapped open and flashed with cold resolve.

“No. We will move ahead with the second plan,” he said. “I already prepared a backup in case something unexpected happened. It is time to use it.”

He then lifted his gaze up at the towering statue. The red glow in its eyes brightened as if responding. The flames flickered violently, reflected in his pupils.

“I don’t know who ruined our plans,” he said in a low and chilling voice. “But once I find them, I will make sure they suffer. When we take over the Kingdom of Ruthiana, they will know what true hell feels like.”

The torches trembled. Darkness thickened like smoke. And the red eyes of the demon statue shone brighter, as if smiling.

…..

The next day, Emma tried to have a private talk with Ethan about marriage. She hoped Ethan would stay for a while, but Ethan refused without any hesitation and made it clear that he wanted to leave.

Staying there was not really a problem for him, but in his heart he knew that if he stayed longer, Julia would likely sneak into his room. And one way or another, they might end up crossing the line.

Ethan had no issue with the idea of being with her. He liked her and he respected her. But doing it secretly while living under the same roof with Duchess Emma and without Duke consent made him feel ashamed.

It felt wrong and it felt like he would be betraying her trust. He decided it would be better to prepare properly and get married first before anything happened. Nothing should be done in the shadows.

And without the Duke’s presence, the marriage talks needed to wait.

When Ethan finally reached home, he barely stepped inside before his wives rushed toward him. Sophia, Lia, and Diana all surrounded him with worried eyes.

The three of them jumped at him, almost knocking him back from the force. However, Diana suddenly felt embarrassed and stepped away, her cheeks turning red.

Meanwhile, Sophia clung to his neck tightly from one side and Lia grabbed his arm from the other side. While Sophia clung for warmth, Lia had clearly been afraid and trembling slightly.

Rina stayed a little back, standing at a distance. She looked like she felt out of place and was unsure about how to join them.

Ethan looked at his wives and smiled softly, but his smile faded a bit when he noticed how thin they looked and how exhausted their faces were.

“Why do you all look so thin?” he asked slowly, his brows pulling together.

“It is because they have not been eating their food well,” Rina answered with a bitter smile.

Ethan stepped forward at once and pulled them all into his arms, holding them tightly as if he had been gone for years. He decided he needed to calm them.

“Haa..I just don’t know what to do with you my girls.”
