Immortal of the Nine Realms

True Immortal He stood with a group of Ghost Immortals upon the banks of the Forgotten River.

Not far from him stood a fat man with a genial, pleasant smile.

”Why are you blocking me? Isn’t what your Demon Race wants is simply to gain a foothold within the Nine Mortal Realms?”

True Immortal He frowned. ”If Motian Dizang is allowed to govern the Underworld and ascend to the Heavenly Dao Realm, order will once again be restored to the Nine Realms. We won’t have to fear foreign invasions from the outer domains. Isn’t that a good thing for the Demon Race as well?

”Once your Demonic Beast Race holds power, your first priority would be to slaughter the Human Race first. Once the humans are fully wiped out, it would be our Demon Race’s turn to face the blade.” Lang Daochun sighed softly. ”How could I not understand something so obvious? As for today’s affair, neither you nor I shall participate. As for who ends up with the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower falls into, let fate decide. What do you say?”

True Immortal He asked softly, ”Do you truly believe you can block me?”

”In the past, I certainly could have. A half-step Heavenly Dao is merely Limit Breaking, after all.” Lang Daochun answered with a smile. ”I can probably still block you now, barely. At any rate, as long as I am here, you shall not pass.”

True Immortal He frowned. ”Is there also someone blocking the path over on Lu Fengshen’s side?”

”Naturally. Never mind Lu Fengshen and you, even Motian Dizang is facing obstruction right now,” said Lang Daochun.

True Immortal He shook his head lightly. ”Lu Fengshen and I were originally born as spiritual treasures. Although we are half-step Heavenly Dao powerhouses, we have no further hope of advancing. Leaving aside whether you can block me, stopping Motian Dizang is almost impossible. She has existed far longer than I have.”

”No matter. At any rate, it is none of my concern. I only need to block you. I guess you could say I am repaying a favor I owe to the Human Race,” replied Lang Daochun.

True Immortal He’s brow furrowed slightly. ”Repaying the Human Race’s favor? What sort of favor could you possibly owe the Human Race?”

”I don’t quite remember, but I do indeed owe the Human Race a favor.”

With that, Lang Daochun waved his hand. ”Everyone, do not continue to hide. If you do not risk your lives against him now, do you still wish to freely enter and leave the Major Immortal World in the future?”

True Immortal He’s expression suddenly transformed drastically. Immediately following that, one bizarre and grotesque existence after another materialized behind Lang Daochun.

Within the eyes of these existences lay nothing but endless negative emotions such as greed, cunning, treachery, malice, and madness.

Shock flashed in the eyes of True Immortal He. ”Fallen Immortals?! How did you do it? Why does the Major Immortal World have access to the Underworld?!”

He was the one that isolated the passage between the Major Immortal World and the outside world. Whether it was the Fallen Immortals of the Major Immortal World wishing to emerge, or the cultivators of the Minor Immortal World wishing to enter the Major Immortal World, they all had to pass through him. Yet now, completely under his nose and without his awareness, the Demon Race had actually managed to bring out a contingent of Fallen Immortals?

Gazing upon the rank after rank of ninth-transformation Fallen Immortals behind Lang Daochun, True Immortal He’s expression finally grew genuinely solemn.

”I didn’t expect that the Peerless Heavenly Demon would look like this,” remarked Li Daoye with emotion, gazing at the small silhouette not far away that stood at only about 1.4 meters tall.

”I also didn’t expect that a Heavenly Dao powerhouse born of the Demonic Beasts Race would stand on the side of the Human Race and the Demon Race,” responded the small figure, a childish voice escaping her mouth.

Her face was exceedingly tender and delicate, meticulously sculpted like a porcelain doll. Her well-fitted black robes stripped away a bit of her childishness, adding a layer of profound divinity instead.

”I have not stood on the side of the Demon Race. As for whether I was born of the Demonic Beast Race, that matter can no longer be clearly stated. After all, I am not that former Heavenly Dao. I am merely myself, Li Daoye born of the Flame Empire. Give me some face. Continue being the Heavenly Demon, and do not interfere in the affairs of the Underworld.”

”Is that possible? If the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower falls into the hands of the contemporary Monarch Yan, the Motian Division will be destroyed,” said Motian Dizang in a bone-chilling tone. ”This is the final opportunity for the Demonic Beasts Race, and it is also my ultimate turning point to achieve the Heavenly Dao realm. The God Dao Sect has already broadcasted messages to the outside world, and they have already been intercepted by some outsiders. Before long, the Nine Realms will face an invasion from outer domains. You are highly adept at divination. Surely you can foresee what that will look like.”

Without waiting for Li Daoye to speak, she continued in her freezing voice. ”When that time comes, the Demonic Beast Race, the Demon Race, and the Human Race will all once again degenerate into slave soldiers! The Nine Realms will cease to exist! Since you are the Heavenly Dao, how can you not know this?”

Li Daoye sighed. ”It is precisely because I know this that I cannot allow you to meddle in this matter. The Seeking Dao Faction of your Demonic Beast Race has clearly made something of themselves in the outside world, so why must you still stir up trouble here? Take a step back, and you’ll see a much more vast sky.”

”Take a step back, and we will see a much more vast sky? This was originally the domain of the Demonic Beasts Race. Regardless of the reason, what right do the Human Race and the Demon Race have to contend for this place?

”The former Immortal World, the Underworld, the Nine Mortal Realms, which of them was not governed by the Demonic Beasts Race? Yet after the Human Race arrived, everything changed. Now you still stand on the side of the Human Race to speak for them? Where does that leave our race?”

”There is one point you cannot deny. When the Human Race arrived at the Nine Realms, your Demonic Beasts Race had already been beaten by the outer domains to the point where you could barely protect yourselves. Were it not for the fact that those outer domains’ methods were also rather mediocre, would the Nine Realms still be standing today? It was the Human Race that drove them away. They naturally possess the right to reside here.”

Li Daoye smiled. “I believe there is one point you all should have realized long ago. How did the Human Race know the coordinates of the Nine Realms? Why were they able to find this place?”

Motian Dizang sneered. ”Are you trying to say that the Human Race bought the coordinates of the Nine Realms from the Dao Seeking Faction?”

Li Daoye said, ”It might not exactly have been a monetary transaction. Perhaps the Dao Seeking Faction owed the Human Race a favor, which is why they gave the Human Race the coordinates to the Nine Realms. Besides, Monarch Yan’s Seal isn’t in your hands. Even if you obtain the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower, you still won’t be the rightful ruler of the Underworld and cannot become a True God of the Underworld. Why be so stubborn?”

”Then I shall simply kill Monarch Fang. Once I do that, Monarch Yan’s Seal will naturally be mine,” said Motian Dizang indifferently.

”Kill Lord Fang? You cannot kill him. Do not waste your efforts. Listen to my advice and give up,” said Daoist Master Li.

A cold glint flashed through the eyes of Motian Dizang. ”Even you cannot block me, let alone him.”

The magnificent Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower was rapidly shrinking. Whenever it shrank, the speed at which it devoured Yin energy would slow down a little.

Meanwhile, two more factions arrived on the scene: the Spirit God Sect, and the Killing Spiritual Division.

Within the Nine Realms, these two factions weren’t particularly well liked by any one. The former was felt by all factions to be incapable of entering respectable circles, while the latter was also loathed by all factions due to the countless troubles that came with being entangled with them.

”Kong Lin, your Spirit God Sect actually dares to come and join this kind of commotion? I heard that your founder has already passed away?” said the leading Ghost Immortal of the Grand Wei Study, who was clearly familiar with Kong Lin.

”You better not speak recklessly. The founder of my sect is alive and well. As for the commotion here, why can we not join in?” said Kong Lin indifferently.

The Ghost Immortal’s expression sank. He sneered. ”You all are merely a bunch of pill peddlers, creatures that cannot enter respectable circles. If you dare to continue meddling in this sort of matter, I fear you’ll lose far more than you’ll gain. You’re destroying what little foundation your Spirit God Sect originally possessed.”

Upon hearing these words, the Ghost Immortals of the Spiritual God Sect flew into a towering rage.

On what grounds did the other party look down on them?
