Immortal of the Nine Realms

Shao Guangyin glanced at the monk, whose face bore a somewhat sinister and treacherous look. A trace of disgust flashed through his eyes, though his tone remained mild. ”Push the matter of the Demonic Beasts Race further down the line for now. Our main target at the moment is this object.”

He pointed toward the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower not far away. ”The Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower is a supreme treasure of the Underworld. Right now, all factions are fighting over it. If this item falls into our hands, we will gain a decisive voice within the Underworld, which is equivalent to controlling the Nine Mortal Realms. Through this, we can likewise influence the landscape of the Minor and Major Immortal Realms.”

”Very well, then we will push the matter of the Demonic Beasts Race back. As for this treasure... rest assured, our people are almost here, hehe...”

Fang Chen looked up, a faint light seeming to flow within his grayish-white pupils. ”The swallowing speed of the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower... has begun to slow down.”

The speed at which the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower was devouring the power of karma had indeed begun to drop. If nothing unexpected happened, it would exit this state in another month or two. And by that time, the remnant souls on the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth floors would also be thoroughly refined, turning into Yin Soldiers that could be completely controlled. When that moment arrived, whoever obtained this tower would be able to completely influence the situation of the Nine Realms.

The voice of Venerable Fatian suddenly rang out, ”Monarch Yan, that pack of Great Yin Demons might also be about to participate in that chaotic battle.”

Fang Chen withdrew his gaze and looked toward those Great Yin Demons. They had already been drawn in by the chaotic battle among the Ghost Immortals of various factions. Compared to ordinary Yin Demons, Ghost Immortals ranked far higher on their food chain. If they could devour Ghost Immortals first, they would not consume ordinary Yin Demons. The power of karma in the former was pure, and it tasted excellent. It also brought immense benefits.

Some Great Yin Demons could no longer restrain themselves. Since they did not dare to approach the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower, they set their targets on this group of very ’noisy’ fellows.

Accompanied by wave after wave of roars, these Great Yin Demons began to move, and the remaining ordinary Yin Demons followed closely behind, surging toward the battlefield like a tide.

The leading Ghost Immortal from the Grand Wei Study suddenly gave a sharp shout, ”Stop fighting!”

The chaotic battle ended instantly. The Ghost Immortals of all factions retreated to their respective camps, their gazes turning cold as they looked at the surging tide of Great Yin Demons.

”These mere Great Yin Demons, devoid of intelligence, dare to treat us as their prey?”

The leading Ghost Immortal of the Black Sun Empire sneered, and then suddenly cast a glance toward where Fang Chen was standing. ”Monarch Fang, this must be your doing, right?”

Fang Chen was slightly startled, then laughed and cursed, ”What kind of nonsense are you spouting? If I could influence Great Yin Demons, you guys would have been wiped out long ago.”

A flash of anger crossed the eyes of the Black Sun Empire’s leading Ghost Immortal, but he said nothing more. He merely glanced at the two ninth-transformation Ghost Immortals behind him as his lips moved slightly.

The two immediately stepped forward. They raised their arms. In an instant, a storm of Yin energy brewed in the void. When those Great Yin Demons passed through this area, the storm gradually turned violent, tearing them into shreds. The ninth-transformation Ghost Immortals from the other factions also took action one after another.

In the span of mere moments, a portion of the Great Yin Demons was taken care of. Seeing that, the remaining Great Yin Demons turned around and scattered in all directions.

One Ghost Immortal said with a face full of disdain, ”Without intellect, they are nothing more than a disorganized rabble. Even if there are ninth-transformation Great Yin Demons, they cannot pose a threat.”

To ordinary wandering souls or Path of Yin Walkers, these Great Yin Demons were terrifying. However, that was entirely because ordinary wandering souls and walkers lacked the background of these major factions. From ancient times to the present day, Great Yin Demons had always been nothing to worry about for the various pseudo Underworlds. Be it in terms of wisdom or strength, they could utterly crush these unorganized and undisciplined Great Yin Demons.

After swiftly dealing with the trouble caused by the Great Yin Demons, the Ghost Immortals of the various factions did not resume fighting. They too had noticed that the efficiency with which the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower devoured Yin energy was slowly decreasing. That meant that once it finished feeding, it would be the best opportunity for them to approach the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower and take control of it!

”Everyone, the Great Yin Demons are nothing to worry about, but as for Monarch Yan, I think you all still need to consider things carefully. If he obtains the Eighteen Heavens Prison Tower, may I ask if you can be certain that he will stand on your side?”

The leading Ghost Immortal of the Grand Wei Study gently fanned his folding fan. ”After all, you have all shown the ambition to contend for supremacy in the Underworld. What difference is there between you and rebels like the Motian Division? If he is successful, his immediate priority will be to clean up ’rebels’ like you.”

The expressions of Elder Heiyu and the others changed slightly. If the Underworld were compared to a mortal dynasty, what this person said did carry a bit of truth. Compared to each other, they were all feudal lords. Whoever succeeded in the end would unlikely drive the others to total extinction. Yet the Monarch Yan before them was equivalent to the last emperor of a dynasty and held the title in vain. He could not make the various feudal lords submit. What the feudal lords of all sides were doing now was chipping away at the foundations of this last emperor. If he gained power, would he purge them all afterward?

Leng Buqi suddenly said up in a loud voice, ”Seniors, do not listen to the bewitching words of the Demon Race.”

”Monarch Fang is a human first before he is Monarch Yan. The Taicang Realm Battle already proved that Monarch Fang has always stood firmly on the side of the Human Race. If not for this, with his noble status, why would he need to take risks in the Taicang Realm? If he gains control of the Underworld, he will naturally prioritize our Human Race. We absolutely cannot allow the Demon Race and the Demonic Beasts Race to control the Underworld; otherwise, the Human Race will be completely driven to extinction!”

Leng Buqi’s words caused the human Ghost Immortals of various factions to fall into slight contemplation.

The leading Ghost Immortal of the Grand Wei Study sneered. ”You are a mere junior; is it your place to speak? Can you see the situation clearly? If you want to stand on the side of that guy surnamed Fang, have you ever thought about whether he is qualified to control this supreme treasure? This is already the Human Race’s final chance. The Human Race, the Demonic Beasts Race, and the Demon Race, standing like a tripod in the Nine Realms, that is the future!”

”I have heard that an outsider has already arrived here. If we yield this tower to that one from the Motian Division, he might be able to rely on it to attain the position of the Heavenly Dao and protect the Nine Realms.”

The leading Ghost Immortal of the Black Sun Empire said, ”We of the Demon Race are all thinking for the future of the Nine Realms. How can you, the Human Race, abandon the grand righteous cause for selfish desires? If the Nine Realms fall, we will be nothing!”

The leading Ghost Immortal of the Nine Nether Immortal Sect said indifferently, ”The Heavenly Dao is just and fair. Only when the Underworld is governed by the Heavenly Dao will our three races be treated equally without discrimination.”

His words caused quite a few human Ghost Immortals to harbor conflicting thoughts.

At that moment, a grand and majestic voice resounded from afar. ”What a silver tongue. Is the Heavenly Dao fair? If the Heavenly Dao were fair, how would you, the Demon Race, ever have the chance to set foot here?”

Black mist transformed into what seemed to be a massive black dragon, carrying several hundred figures as it tore through the air toward them. The leader was a valiant and heroic woman, currently sizing up the Demon Race Ghost Immortals of the Taicang Realm with a cold gaze.

”Xie Aman is here...”

Even Elder Heiyu and the others showed grave expressions on their faces.

Chen Enxue stood behind Xie Aman, her eyes sweeping across the crowd. Upon seeing Fang Chen, she playfully winked.

Seeing that, Fang Chen could not help but smile and nod.

The team that the Enlightenment Underworld had brought this time was quite large. He could sense more than two Ghost Immortal auras within it that were comparable to the ninth transformation.
