”Facing her is Rigel von Gousel, son of a marquis! Belonging to first-year S-class, and also active in the Health Committee and the kendo club!! With overwhelming ability he crushed the rivals lined up! In his first appearance he raced all the way to the final!!”

When he was introduced, a single boy quietly stepped out from the opposite side of the stage.

Rigel von Gousel.

In his eyes dwelled calm and honed fighting spirit.

His presence was endlessly quiet, and that was why it conversely made one feel something that was not ordinary.

”Lord Rigel! Lord Rigel!! Lord Rigel!!!”

”Uoooooh!!”

”…Ooh?”

Cheers rose again, but that ring was not uniform.

There were those in a frenzy, and those who contained some confusion.

In the excitement a temperature difference had been born.

Those who had noticed Rigel’s true ability, those who had watched the fights through the semifinal and been captivated by his talent, already recognized him as a strong one.

On the other hand, those who still judged his winning streak as a ”fluke” stared at him with faces of disbelief.

”Hey, that commentator… hasn’t her atmosphere changed?”

”Right. Until before she was looking down on that Rigel bastard…”

”Besides, her volume is loud too. It wasn’t a voice that carried like that. Did something happen?”

The spectators began whispering rumors.

That sense of wrongness was correct.

There was a reason she had transformed.

Because she had been raped by Rigel.

Through merciless violation, the female commentator had been made to fundamentally revise her recognition of Rigel.

Furthermore, Rigel’s semen containing mana had worked nicely and slightly increased her physical ability and such, and with Rigel’s recovery magic her stamina was also perfect.

In her current voice there was a core, and weight dwelled in the words.

As a result one could say she had shed a layer as a commentator.

”Oh! Additional information has come in here! …Eh, is it all right to announce this? Ah, it’s fine? Understood!”

At that single line the air changed.

The noisy audience seats suddenly fell silent.

Everyone held their breath and waited for the next words.

”Lord Rigel is, of all things, the hero of that ’Valstine campaign’! Everyone has probably heard the rumor, but by the royal family’s intention the information had long been concealed! At last, hero Lord Rigel stands on the stage of the final!”

”””Uooooooooh!!!”””

Shock.

Respect.

Confusion.

Voices with various feelings mixed rang as if about to pierce the ceiling.

”The Valstine campaign… That’s…”

”I don’t know the details either, but… that’s the one, right? They destroyed the Valstine Kingdom almost without taking damage…”

”Yeah. The opponent was a small country, but there were rumors they had a powerful national treasure. What they gained should have been large.”

”I heard the commander was an outrageous great man… Don’t tell me that Rigel bastard is that? No, should I call him Lord Rigel?”

”The student council president Fifth Princess and the hero marquis’s son! Bloodline and results both lacking nothing! This’ll be something to see!!”

Respect gradually came to be included in the spectators’ words.

That much weight was in those results.

Hero of the Valstine campaign, Rigel.

Now he was not a mere student.

A great man who had destroyed a country and changed the war situation.

Who would have imagined such a person was right in front of them.

”””Uooooooooh!!!”””

The spectators went into a frenzy.

It was an exaltation of becoming a witness of history that went beyond mere match watching.

The commentator’s words became a spark and wrapped the whole venue in a vortex of heat.

Toward that, Rigel was as if it were someone else’s affair.

Without getting unnecessarily heated, endlessly calm.

Because he had absolute confidence in his cheat skill, he was imposing.

”The gallery is noisy… What does Princess Amelia think?”

Looking at the girl standing opposite, Amelia, Rigel said it while shrugging lightly.

That voice rang strangely clear even in the tumultuous air.

”It is certainly noisy. But I will only do what I should do, matter-of-factly.”

Amelia’s tone was quiet.

But those eyes were sharp like a lion looking at prey.

”What you should do. Don’t tell me you’re thinking of defeating me or something?”

”Of course. That you were a meritorious person of the Valstine campaign, even I had not grasped… The one who wins this final is I.”

Amelia declared.

Those words made one feel pride and resolve as royalty.

”Wonderful. The guts not to flinch before a ’superior.’ Truly a fighting princess.”

”...”

Amelia’s eyebrow moved slightly.

A small reaction.

But it was certainly proof her heart had been shaken.

Superior.

Rigel had said that.

That he was above, as a matter of course.

The tone was polite, but it was clear he was looking down on the opponent.

”Your conduct is far too poor. I acknowledge your ability, but that is exactly why it is a shame.”

”…”

”Rigel, your power is necessary to the Wistaria Kingdom. If you reform and swear to become my aide, I will close my eyes to your evil deeds until now.”

”Unfortunately, I decline.”

Rigel refused readily.

As if he had heard a worthless joke.

On the profile of him shaking his head there was an unshakable will.

”If I surrendered I would be spoken of behind my back in academy life from now on. My pride will not allow that. Besides…”

”Besides?”

”I have no hobby of becoming an aide to an ’inferior.’”

Rigel declared it coldly.

That tone was hard as steel and thoroughly chilled.

”I see… Then I will make you submit in the match. I will not accept an easy surrender, so prepare yourself.”

Words as if spat out.

Amelia’s pupils shone sharply.

In their depths a flame of anger clearly flared.

The pride of one who is a princess.

And the pride of a single warrior dwelled in those eyes.

(Nice. If she doesn’t glare at me at least this much there’s no rivalry.)

Rigel lifted the corner of his mouth.

On that expression there was joy like a hunter before prey.

Amelia’s ability was reasonably certain.

That was exactly why it was interesting.

The final.

The stage was set.

With the spectators’ expectation and cheers at their backs, Rigel’s and Amelia’s gazes collided.

Sharp, fierce, quiet.

As if sword guards crossing, each other’s fighting spirit made the space creak.

”Both sides seem prepared. Then, begin the match!”

The instant the referee’s declaration rang.

The sounds of kicking the ground overlapped.

Wind pressure tearing the air occurred, and sand dust danced.

As if the arrival of a storm.

In that instant the two leapt toward each other.

Distance became zero in an instant.

Sword and sword crossed, and a fierce collision sound shook the space.

Giin!!

Metal scattered sparks with metal, and a sharp sound rang out.

It struck the spectators’ chests like the sound of a bell.

The slashing exchange reached the extreme of severity.

If one averted one’s eyes even for an instant, one would not know what had happened.

That speed, that power. Both were off the scale.

The audience seats fell silent.

Everyone forgot even breathing and could only watch the fight.

”Guh…!”

A voice of anguish leaked from Amelia’s mouth.

A sharp blow smashed through her defense, and a wound split her skin.

Red spray danced in midair.

”I-impossible…! What is this sword speed!?”

The mutter contained shock and confusion.

Far too fast.

Far too accurate.

All of it had no waste, as if a legendary sword saint.

”…Hmph.”

Without disordering even one breath, Rigel looked at the opponent.

The gaze was cold, yet also somewhat amused.

”Quite sturdy. Then I’ll raise the output a little.”

A tone he said offhand.

But the next instant.
